I'm going to second the advice that someone above gave, and suggest that you find out your server's global chat channels. I set up 2 task forces and joined in a third last night simply by sending out a message that the TFs were forming, and that I needed additional support. The groups were filled in less than 10 minutes.
There are a lot of people out there looking to get in on large team action, but most dont seem to want to form their own groups, and not all are in the same level range. By being able to access a large pool of players, regardless of where in the world they are (and this includes crossing the red side/blue side divide), you can easily get groups up and running. -

Hi folks,
just a quick one. I'm looking at slotting Touch of Lady Grey into my Rad defender's Radiation Infection (which is a targetted AoE toggle), and I was wondering if the damage proc would apply to everyone in the area of effect, or just the target themselves.

The original reason for the additional slots was to allow players to stay on their servers, and the max number of slots was limited to 8. Since then, they have trippled the amount of slots available per server from 12 to 36. What more can you ask for?
or were you asking for free unlocks? Even if you got 4 free, they would be total, not per server like with CoV -

That cant be entirely correct, as we have temp powers that add a jetpack to the frame. The fact that the power manifests a physical object must mean they have some way of attaching them to the bodies. The obvious point would be where wings attach to the body, which does currently exist.

You know, the minute read the first reply, I knew I messed up and should have used Nova. I mean, I've done enough missions against them to know that they're called Nova and Dwarf (I'm a huge fan of the ITF, and they're in the first 2 missions). It was just a late night brain fart (I was posting at 1am my time). Or maybe I had seen the Light Form during character creation, and it stuck in my head.
Master-Blade, that makes perfect sense. I havent tried it, but the reasoning is sound.
And, I dont know why I never think to check paragonwiki before asking questions here. I mean, I use it all the time for day job badges, for task force info, for weapon and costume unlockables. But I never seem to think of it for others.
And its strange that in all these years, I'd never made a macro before. I use keybinds all the time, especially for powers that provide you with a targetting reticle like Lightning Rod, Shield Charge, teleportation, etc (I mean the first thing I did on the Warshade was make a bind for their teleport power) or for pet commands on my masterminds. -

Now, using the goto_tray will change your bottom most tray, I take it? While that's what I want, out of curiousity, is there a way to change any of the other trays (middle or top)?
Or is it based on the tray that the macro icon rests? -
Hey all,
I finally made it to my first 50 after more than 4 years in the game, and now have access to the elite classes. I made one of each, but have only had a chance to play the Peacebinger so far. Once I made it to lvl 6, I took Light Form (I think that's what it's called, the first of the shapes you can shift into).
Once that happened, I received some additional attacks that only work in that form, and all other abilities are greyed out. So, I was wondering if there was some way to make it so that when I pressed the Light Form power, to have my bottom tray be replaced by tray 4(actually 5 as I tend to put some of the generic powers like the Pocket D teleporter, Mission Teleported, Base teleporter, etc onto a seperate floating tray), which would contain all of my attack powers. I currently have a seperate floating tray for the powers, but I find it to be distracting, as I'm used to clicking on the 1st tray for all of my attack powers.
Now, I've found binds in some of the guides that do the above at the click of a key, but I was wondering if there was a way to do it while clicking on a power tray icon.

The problem being is that corpses tend to fade out relatively quickly. Plus it would be that by the time your power effects come into play, you don't need them: they're already dead. Also, what happens when you come up against a single hard foe (GM/EB/AV/Some Bosses)? With no corpses to fuel yourself, you're at a disadvantage.
I do like your notions on -Range though. That should be more prevalent, I think. -
Its ironic you should say no fire corrupters, because the first thing that came to mind was a fire/dark corrupter. That being said, you might do well with a dominator that has a -knockback component in their immobilize/hold powers (stone's good for this, or grav). That will help keep mobs grouped for the AoE that bots puts out.
Another option is a brute, any brute will do. -

Thunder Strike/Total Focus/Tremor/any "slam dunk" animation - Congratulations, you are now the world's slowest luchador attempting a double axe handle blow from the top turnbuckle.
In addition to Shield Charge/Lightning Rod, I also want to add any knock up weapon attack. I play CoX with my girlfriend a lot, and she never gets tired of me saying how I hit a guy SO hard, he flew up in the air.
I also love that one villain patron power where you fire these little glowing missiles at someone, and they lift them up in the air, circling their body. That looks great. I just have to figure out what AT can actually take it, so that I can start working towards it.
As for least fun powers, any attack from a teammate that sends my target flying away from me. Man, do I ever hate having to chase down something I was just beating up on. -
Except when you're talking about cones... Range enhancements in a cone attack will extend the range that the cone will reach, and thereby expand the area that is covered by the attack.

Well, I guess it at least gives me a place to slot that 5th Posi set...
And, with Tar Patch/Tenticles down from the Dark/AR defender that he's Pacted with, it should make it quite a bit more effective. -
Hi there,
just a quick question about transfering characters from one server to another. Now, I've done this many times, but I've never tried to move a Levelling Pacted pair before. I want to move both over to a new server, and keep the pact intact. Does anyone know if this is possible? They're over lvl 5, so they wouldnt be able to just set the pact back up again. If not, I might just have to recreate them on the new server, and do a sewer run or two to at least get them into the early teens. -
Okay, so I have Buckshot, FT, and Ignite 5 slotted without the proc, and FA/LRM 5 slotted without the Dam/Range. Kind of the best of both worlds
What's the deal with Ignite, anyway? Is it similar to the Fire Armour's Burn patch? Does it cause mob scattering the same way? Is it worth taking, damage wise, or will it just be overkill anyway? -

Right, the toxic is indeed redundant so I've moved 2 of the slots over to Surveilance to take some Shield Breakers, and replaced the Dam/End for FA, FT And LRM with recharge.
I understand your statement about Burst, but the only power I could think to drop would be Stun at the end, and it would only get a single slot, as all others are really tied up. I dont mind being forced into melee, as I'll always be paired up with a Dark/AR defender, so the -acc and slows should work in my favour.

I originally thought about taking the fighting pool, and originally built it that way, but the numbers didnt seem that great, and it didnt leave room for an anticiliary pool.
I'm sure it seems a bit disjointed, and it probably is. Any suggestions would be appreciated. -

I dont think you should look for an FoTM build. Find something thats fun that you enjoy playing. That will allow to level quickly because you will play it more. There are many blaster combos that will suffice and I dont think any one is better than the other.
