Quote:If anyone goes into the house, he won't spawn.Which is why I said, "quite probably not" in my post. For some reason, he doesn't always spawn. I have yet to figure out why.
I've had a random PUG on Virtue go through and mad dash it, but still quickly mad dash spawn Black Whip at the beginning before anyone went in. It was an... odd experience.
But I've enjoyed the Haunted House trial so much I made a video of it. -
I honestly wouldn't mind if they took out origins completely. They don't seem to add anything to the game outside of a vague character concept. The thematic names make enhancements harder to determine what they actually enhance. Origin is better suited for the bio screen than the first step in character creation. Heck, they've even done away with the origin starting contacts. Get rid of them, don't expand them.

Is anyone still planning on nominating? I'd really hope to not have to drop down to one or two categories.
Actually, I'm going to go ahead and drop it down to 4 for now. Best Custom Group Design and Best Short Arc have been removed. If you were considering nominating an arc for one of these categories, they should still be able to fit into one of the remaining categories. -
I had to take the copyright-laden background music out, but doing that was able to get my latest video featured on the City of Heroes Facebook page. If you haven't seen it yet, check out On Your M-Arc #13: Kill or Cure Author's Cut with @Samuraiko. And from now on, I'll be ditching the background music for my On Your M-Arcs.
And while it's not an AE arc, I was inspired to make a trailer for the fun new Halloween trial for this year Dr. Kane's House of Horror.
Hoping to have a trailer for The Cheshire Cat's Signal: Noise ready in time for Halloween, and we'll see where things go after that! -
My first real non-AE trailer for this year's Halloween trial. Dr. Kane's House of Horror. Enjoy!
-
Added notes to spawn black whip on the video.
-
Just a little over a week left, come on - bring on the nominations! If you're not sure what to nominate try some arcs over here!
-
You seem pretty enthusiastic about your arc, I'll have to check it out sometime in the next couple days. You might also want to "/chanjoin MA Arc Finder" in-game and advertise/seek advice from other AE story authors.
-
Dr. Kane's House of Horror, check it out if you haven't tried it yet.
The dev's didn't commission a trailer for this event and I thought it was pretty awesome, and since Samuraiko's video plate is pretty full I thought I'd step up to the challenge. I've been making some videos for AE but this is my first attempt at making a trailer for a dev-made event. I hope you enjoy! -
If those are in response to something from the beta boards, shouldn't they be in the beta boards as well?

Quote:I'm referring to the lowering of the rewards for the commonly ran trials and raising the rewards/lowering the difficulty of the less often ran trials in order to steer us into playing the less often ran trials more. How does the addition of the incarnate content take away from the already existing content, and so "steer" us any where we don't choose to go? Oh, and for those of us who like the incarnate content option (I don't live for it, but enjoy it when I'm in the mood), I'm all for more content, incarnate or whatever.
-
That's not entirely true. If the devs keep a content stream up at this pace, there is more content being generated than there is free points, so there's no way you can get everything just by waiting. Aside from waiting for sales, waiting just creates even more content that you may wish to buy.
-
I haven't paid for anything yet, and yet I've gotten everything I want so far.
-
On the other hand of course, I'm nowhere near tired of doing trials either.
-
I found this quote interesting "I don’t think we want to steer the player to the experience that we want." and yet it appears that's exactly what they're trying to do with the incarnate trials.
-
-
Wow, I think I've probably played less than 50 total trials, maybe a handful more, but over 400, that seems like a ton.
-
it's because it's been merged with the multi-media section of the forums.
-
I've said it before, I'll say it again. People are still running AE for story arcs. My DC arc is not a farm and it nets me a crapton of tickets right now. These tickets come from people who are playing it for the story. And not everyone who plays it rates it, and some even rate it poorly. The big issue is how to get these people to go past the first page of arcs to try out other stuff.
-
both, though I'd love to see a good concept using either of the new female faces. I think they both look pretty terrible. I mean, the vampire face *looks* good, but the expression on the face makes it look terrible.
-
There's kind of a thread in the general discussion forums, but there's always one of these threads here and since BassAckwards hasn't made one, I decided I would. I haven't played with it quite as much as others have, but I made a couple decent ones so far, even though I couldn't get past the costume on my gorgon.
Fishyssoise - my fish monster with big bulbous eyes and a spare water tank for breathing.
-
The thread you're looking for is titled "Gruesome, Morbid, not really" in the S&A forum.
-
Here's mine. Simple name "The Fish Monster" with the concept of trying to make not a headless costume, but a different type of head, with the mouth and eyes placed in a unique way.

Quote:Except one of them tried to hit the hospital but got lost along the way, and now they're the love-matic Statesman...My (not very serious) guess:
Everyone dies except Manticore and BAB.
Dark Watcher shows up.
Tells Manti to use an Oil Slick Arrow where the rest of them died.
BAB says "Oil Slick, WTF?" as Dark Watcher uses Howling Twilight to rez them all. -
Really don't like the new female faces, but love the snake hair!
