There's kind of a thread in the general discussion forums, but there's always one of these threads here and since BassAckwards hasn't made one, I decided I would. I haven't played with it quite as much as others have, but I made a couple decent ones so far, even though I couldn't get past the costume on my gorgon.

Fishyssoise - my fish monster with big bulbous eyes and a spare water tank for breathing.

I was bored, so I ended up switching three of my Brute's costumes around.

Thinking about trying to make a "Rogue" costume. Then most likely a Ms. Marvel.

both, though I'd love to see a good concept using either of the new female faces. I think they both look pretty terrible. I mean, the vampire face *looks* good, but the expression on the face makes it look terrible.

The new Halloween pack is intended to be funny, which is the reason I like it so much. It's designed to evoke Z-list monster movies from the '50s and dime-store Halloween costumes from the '60s. The designs also largely reference Ed Wood and Hammer horror films, and I'm a huge fan of both.

If you're not particularly a fan of either, though, I can see why the new pack would be a disappointment. It's my favorite pack ever, though; I think it's perfectly designed and utterly hysterical.

Oh why not.. today I put my male main toon Mysterious Mike through the Halloween change.
Going with... what would he wear if he would dress up for Halloween...
And I think it would be this:

Simple, yes... a Vampire...but still wearing his own herosuit, though with slight (vampiric) changes....and the bats aura of course.. I love that one!

*waves*

My title character has a habit of dressing up for Halloween in an outfit specifically designed to irritate his pal Positron.

He's been doing it since at least 2006, though he wasn't completely satisfied with the costume before he could access Auras. (Yeah, I mean, the real Anti-Matter's visor doesn't do that... but it should. )

I remembered screens!

Wyld Fyre, aka Jae Smith as Jubilee since 2005, though it really wasn't perfect til the sparkles aura

Black Symphony, at least the half that is Zeke Covington, as The Shadow since 2009

Black Radiance, aka Roxy Acetylene as a french maid (cause that's what that ascot screamed at me)

In the tradition of my characters dressing up as the Praetorian equivalents of their favorite NPCs, the Torch of Victory was going to just go as Ms. Liberty this year, but once she had the wig, she found out that the leather jackets were on sale, and, well, one thing led to another...

(For reference, here's one of Torchy's regular looks... )

Three costumes I've put together for my Heroes. Don't know which lovely lady is going to be who yet but I imagine Masked Moxie would be Goldilocks.

So we have Jessica Rabbit( I hope its obvious), A burlesque outfit and Goldilocks

Fixed that for you:

btw, hate the new vampiress face....it's ugly and doesn't respond to scales so the ugliest part of it (the blocky jaw) can't be altered

How do you ignoe the blood stains on it?

(Seriously, I'm very disappointed with how that Ascot came out. Since I noticed the blood stains, I can't see using it for anything BUT a vampire. And I'm not likely to play one of those... -_-)

saw a Scooby Doo once upon a time, a year or two back, in normal game play

also, I've wanted to play a tabletop game recently where the characters are essentially minor-powered creatures/psychics trying to find other monsters/stuff and, aside from each other, never find anything but Scooby Doo ish hoaxes

Dude, that looks nothing like the cartoon....
(Seriously, my X-men knowledge comes from the 90s cartoon and the movies. I assume that has something to do with the comics, but... *whoosh* over my head :7)

Google will show you that's a good aproximation of what she developed into, and although i always t'inter to check new devolopments, i'm not disagreeing, i'm also stuck in the past with how heroes should look... time to move on my friend

btw, loving the Scooby Doo Crew that's my time also

edit: worth an edit i think, shaggy should have the resistance beard, also i drink with someone that's known as shaggy, for that reason

I stopped regularly reading marvel back in the late 90s, but occasionally dip in when one of my favorite characters gets featured.

This is Jubilee's most recent development:

Not sure where I stand on this.

A) it shows more of the tendency that current Marvel and DC stories are bad fanfiction and prone to retcon because, as of sometime in the 80s, vampires were extinct in Marvel

B) Hannibal King shows that vampires can be good guys in Marvel

C) Everyone that became a vamp was cured EXCEPT Jubilee

D) It could be a good development but smacks of something that will be shortly retconned

Overall, I just shrug at it and chalk it off to Marvel being Marvel

Really, they announce incredible changing storylines, retcon, and start over again so often that I have to say that past the mid 90s, Marvel and DC became fanfiction....and not good epic Krista-Perry-Hearts-of-Ice quality fanfic, but more some of the unnameable stuff

Back to the original topic, here's the Torch of Victory's new not-being-mistaken-for-a-Praetorian-archvillain Halloween costume.
