But the "Widow Blades" ARE available to other ATs.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes and I think BAB, Posi or one of the Devs said that was a mistake and if they could go back they would make Widow Blades only availavle to widows.

So I would enjoy teaming on one of these. When do you run them and what time specifically?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well Impyre is taking a break for a few weeks so there will not be any regular runs. When Impyre starts them up again and if he keeps the same time it will be Thursday 6 pm. Pacific time.

If alphas are a problem, the easiest solutions include liberal inspiration use and the Medicine pool.

[/ QUOTE ] If you have enough time to fire off aid self, alpha strikes aren't your problem.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    I don't get it.

Alpha's come in, health goes down, /WP has no self heal, take Medicine pool, fire off Aid Self...heal damage from alpha's.

Sounds about like a /Regen or /Invul after they take an alpha volley, but I guess I am stupid.

    [/ QUOTE ]

If you can fire off aid self that means you are not getting hit. Aid Self as a Interrupt Time of 1 sec so that mean you are not getting hit for 1 sec so that means alpha strikes shouldn't be your problem.

    DB/SR Critique

    [ QUOTE ]
I've noticed no one has chosen the medicine pool - why not?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well DB/SR can be a tight build and it can be hard to fit in some powers like the medicine pool. If you can fit it in it is great to have, but it is not need for most of the game.

    [ QUOTE ]
Also, what is the def cap?

    [/ QUOTE ]

If you are talking about the Defense soft cap. That is 45% defense, that will flood the to hit of baddies. An even level minion has a 50% base chance to hit you. It will always have a 5% chance to hit you so 45% will take his to hit down to 5%. If you have 60% it will still be the same as if you had 45%.
  7. [ QUOTE ]
    [ QUOTE ]
    It still doesn't work.

You have to have the vehicle model. Character animation while driving. Character and Vehicle model animation when turning, jumping, reversing. Character attack animations while in the vehicle. Character defensive animations while in the vehicle. Character hit animations while in the vehicle. Character death animation(s) while in the vehicle.

Then multiply that work by 3. One 'Male' version one 'Female' version, then ensuring the male version works for Huge characters.

THEN You can start in on scaling to character size so 8 foot tall monsters and 3 foot tall 'Little people' can all drive as well.

    It's not gonna happen.
    -Rachel-

    [/ QUOTE ]

This is the closest thing to a definite reason why not. This would probably be the most difficult problem if they ever tried to conquer the problem of trying to add vehicles. Thank you Rachel.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Maybe you should read more

    [ QUOTE ]
You get ambushed on the way. How do you fight? Just have your powers blast out of the rolled up windows? How do you buff or debuff? EVERY power would need a new animation. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. Then you want people with motorcycles instead of cars. Redo ALL the animations AGAIN. And they still wouldn't make sense - how do you use Footstomp in a car? Or Stalagmites?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Just in cast you didn't see it there

EVERY power would need a new animation. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.

That is what Rachel said and that was in my post in the 2nd post of this.
  8. [ QUOTE ]
But it sounds like the only thing that can help wp with the alpha strikes and such is to use purples

    [/ QUOTE ]

yes the Alpha Stikes can be bad for /WP and purples are the best for it. But after you get all of your /WP powers and slotted it should be a lot better
  9. [ QUOTE ]
Okay so other then the guy that can solo the Statesman TF, does anyone else have an ideas for WP for tougher encounters.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I never said that, but way to go. Again as Werner said this shouldn't be a problems past SO. Use RttC sorry I didn't yes kill the boss first to so evey one else buffs your RttC. Rttc is one of the best power that Scarpper can have use it.

    [ QUOTE ]
Right now purples are doing the trick, and I don't have rttc yet but I was curious if there was another way.

    [/ QUOTE ]

you should have RttC by lvl 16 there is no reason not to have it. I'm not trying to be rude but it is the best power of the set and will keep you alive. Reason for this is your don't need to work on Stamina with /WP because you have Quick Recovery you can get a lot of your power when you need them.
  10. [ QUOTE ]
I mostly run solo unyielding missions. I'm not talking about an oj boss standing all alone.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I mostly do the same thing
  11. Well with my /WP scrapper I do nothing just run up and kill the boss. The boss doesn't do much to me because I'm killing it so fast. Also if your having to pop DP, IH, or MoG to kill a boss you might want to look at your build. A boss is nothing for a scrapper just a foe with a little more hit points

I am amazed as to some people not picking Elude. I think it is one of the best "Save your [censored]" clicks a SR build can have.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not really. Elude was great but if you are over the soft capped, It really does nothing for you but give you end. But after 3 mins it takes all that end. I used to like Elude a lot but then when I got my /SR over the soft cap it was so easy to drop it. It did nothing for me at all and really could never save me.
  17. [ QUOTE ]
Let's set aside the PVP IO until the price drops below 600m.

    [/ QUOTE ]

What? The PvP IO is what you have a problem with not the 5 LoTG that can cost 70 Mil a piece(350 mil total). How about the 2 purples set that can cost up to 600 mil for both set. No it's the PvP IO that cost too much(Which when I got it only cost 300 mil) not the rest of the build. How about you set aside the Purples and the LoTG too.

Your going to need to spend a lot of Inf on this build is you want to run this attack chain with /SD. Because you need to get good recharge and good Defense number it is not easy.

Edit: oops looks like I was wrong about purples and the LoTG they would cost about 1,455,000,000. Yes that 600 mil is now not looking to bad now.

Most of the time when I see claims of /Regen power its a Kat or BS. When your primary caps you in 1/3 of your positional defenses Regen synergizes very well because none of it's mitigation is defense based. Willpower/Unvul doesn't synergize well since it is typed defense and SR/SD can cap without Parry/DA.

    [/ QUOTE ]
    [ QUOTE ]
Though really what I meant is that I'd love to see some kick [censored] non-Parry/DA videos or read some stories of Regen feats like AV killing.

(While I'd love to see some Regen action in the RWZ challenge, it's my experience that Shockwave really makes a huge difference there so I suspect it would be a Claw/Regen scenario. Not that it isn't impressive to do with Claw/Regen.)

    [/ QUOTE ]

    [/ QUOTE ]
Sorry a Newbie question here. how do you monitor your defense and things like that? you said when it goes to red then you hit the panic buttons but how do you see that?

    [/ QUOTE ]

You can do this buy going to the power window. At top you will see Combat Attributer click on that.

that a bigger window will open up with all of your combat attributs. You can monitor anyone you like by right clicking on it, then a smaller window will open up and it will ask Hide power sources and Monitor the power. When you click on the Monitor power it will then give you a small window that you can move around.

And now, the big question is, is it possible to get that chain smooth on a DM/Shield without sacrificing the softcap?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes all but maybe 10sec when Hasten is down. The open slot in Trune Grit is for the +3 PvP IO so that will make it 45.4%.

Yep. BFs worked for the first while, then she fired Soulstorm and absolutely demolished me. Not sure if I just had a gap where I forgot to take one or if she actually punched through BF + PB.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well if it is the Soulstorm like the one if the STF then it is a mag 100 hold so you will need lots of BFs.
  22. [ QUOTE ]
The second is an "Only Affecting Self" attack that just has you standing there. Once again you just have to wait that out or use a Break Free.

the power you are talking about is Black Hole. It is a intangible power so I don't think a Break Free will work against it.
  23. Now for the last build. This is the build that I have right now. I’m very happy with this build, I have soloed some AVs with this build and working on more. The only thing I don’t like too much about this build is Conserve Power is not up as much as I would like it to be.
