I began to set out my Dual Blade/Super Reflex scrapper and would love some comments on how I've done. I know some of the travel powers could be picked earlier than I have done in this build, but this is really my first draft so I am still working on it.

Okay, it took me a while to reconstruct your build in mids, but I got 'er done.

Overall, your totals aren't too bad. Good recovery, decent recharge and regen. However, this is where I ask you what you want to accomplish with your toon. Your defense totals are still well below soft-capped, which is one of /SR's biggest selling points as a secondary.

Are you looking to have all the DB combos available to you, or does this really matter? If you don't care about combos, you can drop some of those attacks in favor of picking up some of the fighting pool for tough and weave. Also, in terms of your attacks, be careful not to gimp them with your slotting choices. Slotting so many shield breakers in ablating strike and Adjusted Targetings in blinding feint might work against you. Just something to think about. I personally slotted them as attacks with ToD and Mako's in my own DB/SR.

Pushing stamina off until 22 might not work so well. With those toggles running, and so many attacks by that point, you'll be hurting for end, so I would move it up to 20 and slot it right away (don't wait until 27 and the 40s).

In terms of travel power, I personally haven't seen too many teleporting scrappers, but maybe that's your style. Personally, I took SS on mine, and added combat jumping from the leaping pool for extra maneuverability and defense. As for slotting, if you do stick with teleport, 2 end redux is all you should need, there's really no need to slot it for range. You could also slot some Blessing of the Zephyr if you want to keep that many slots for some additional defense.

Did you take stealth and invisibility because you ran out of choices or for concept? If it's for concept, you can get stealth out of a stealth IO in sprint. And you'll be able to attack with it on, which you can't do with invisibility. This also saves you 2 more power picks for that fighting pool, or even maneuvers, which will give you more defense.

Here's a build I threw together that might help you a bit. It greatly improves your defense totals, while still giving you decent regen and recovery and boosts your recharge quite a bit. Yes, it does skip a couple of attacks, but with all the recharge in the build, you really won't need them. There's the stealth IO in sprint, and some additional end recovery/max end from GoTA in your passives (plus some run speed bonuses for kicks).

Thanks for replying.

Yes, I do use my combos often. This is why I picked all of them. I didnt find i hadan end issue until mid level. I do agree it woul most likely be more beneficial if i picked it early. I probably should have mentioned that this is a "Deadpool" homage character build. Mostly just for fun but i still want to kick @$$. I cant stand the stealth sets, and picked this pool mainly for ghosting purposes. Battled with getting haste at first, but chose Invis. I will take a look at your build and see if it does any better and comment back. Thanks for taking the time to review my build.

[Edit]
Took a more close look at your build and noticed that you have 7 luck of the gmbler recharge speeds in your build. Unfortunately, you would go over the cap after 5 plus throw in scirrocos dervish and thats another regen over the cap.

This is what I put together a few months back for my brute. Seeing as how there the same powers though, shouldnt make much of a difference. I wasnt going for the combos, but If you dont want hasten, could be an easy switch. I also put off the travel powers till late in the build. With all the temp powers you can get now, as long as you turn them off when theyre not in use, they will last a very long time.

Willpower has more passive regen than Regen does. Who thought that was a good idea?

Can we get a fix for Energy Melee instead of more new sets?

Here is my shot at your build style. This combo is actually something I've been contemplating for awhile so you'll have to let me know how it plays.

Anywho, I think I avoided breaking the rule of five on any of the bonuses, but if you see something let me know and I'll try and fix it.

Upsides: This build gets 335% Regeneration, 177% Recovery, burns .95 End/Sec with all the toggles running, has 60% Recharge, and 46% defense to the three positional defenses. It has all the attacks, the fighting pool, teleport, and the fitness pool. I dropped the Concealment pool but you still can stealth with the Stealth IO in Sprint (Which in my experience is good enough).

Downsides: Your scaling resistances will come later than normal (Level 41 is when you'll get Agile with this build), and your resistance in general is nearly non-existant so you'll have to take a "Kill them first" style. Weave isn't taken until level 49 and therefore isn't slotted until 50 (But you should be ok with 40% defense until that point).

Anywho, enough of my gabbing, here's the build:

[Edit]
Took a more close look at your build and noticed that you have 7 luck of the gmbler recharge speeds in your build. Unfortunately, you would go over the cap after 5 plus throw in scirrocos dervish and thats another regen over the cap.

[/ QUOTE ]

The Scirrocos aren't in there for the regen - they're there to help get you to AoE softcap. As for the LotG's - sorry I didn't catch that...as I said I put it together rather quickly (and without the benefit of coffee).

It helps that you explained a few things, though a few of your choices still leave me a bit puzzled - but I'm sure that's a matter of playstyle and character concept. I still stand by my comment about slotting your teleport with some Zephyrs for the defense bonuses - and it will also help with the range you were slotting for previously.

At any rate, good luck with your homage.

Absolutely. Make no mistake, I'm not trying to bash anyones build as i am still green at it myself. I just want to make sure i utilize every set spot i can without going over cap. I am amazed as to some people not picking Elude. I think it is one of the best "Save your [censored]" clicks a SR build can have.

Not really. Elude was great but if you are over the soft capped, It really does nothing for you but give you end. But after 3 mins it takes all that end. I used to like Elude a lot but then when I got my /SR over the soft cap it was so easy to drop it. It did nothing for me at all and really could never save me.

Once you're soft capped, about all Elude might do is help temporarily against foes with a lot of to-hit. But I have a hard time seeing where that would be useful. Some AVs/EBs have to-hit, but as EBs, you should tear through them anyway, and as AVs, Elude won't last long enough, so you're going to crash and then die. Some Architect Entertainment custom enemy groups have to-hit. But you're not going to make it through a mission in three minutes, so you're dealing with the crash. That's probably more likely to kill you than the bad guys unless you pay close attention and stop fighting when it gets close to the crash. And as a scrapper, I'm not big on sitting around and doing nothing.

Well, you could use it as a fake travel power, I suppose. But I'd pick up a real travel power if that's your intent.

It might also serve as a set mule. I try to avoid set mules, but sometimes they're a necessary evil.

I've noticed no one has chosen the medicine pool - why not?

I'm currently running a DB/SR brute and find the heal can be useful. Also, what is the def cap?

Thanks!

Well DB/SR can be a tight build and it can be hard to fit in some powers like the medicine pool. If you can fit it in it is great to have, but it is not need for most of the game.

If you are talking about the Defense soft cap. That is 45% defense, that will flood the to hit of baddies. An even level minion has a 50% base chance to hit you. It will always have a 5% chance to hit you so 45% will take his to hit down to 5%. If you have 60% it will still be the same as if you had 45%.

Thanks for explanation on Def Soft Cap - makes sense. I agree DB/SR is a tight build when you're trying to fit Med Pool, been trying for a while to get the perfect build for my brute.
