Well, she does have a 100 mag on her immbolization that normally kills everybody lol.
I believe she has three attacks that will hit through PB
The first is her fear. No way around that except inspirations for /SR or just toughing it out and waiting for it to end.
The second is an "Only Affecting Self" attack that just has you standing there. Once again you just have to wait that out or use a Break Free.
AAAannd finally the death hold "Soulstorm". If that lands you're done unless you somehow have a good deal more HP than most /SR scrappers.
In short she's really tough. It's a good bit easier if you're /SD but you CAN do it.

Bring some purples. Having just 1 or 2 up at all times will help. Have some breakfrees on hand for the Fear, but don't bother using them against Soulstorm you wont really break it. If Soulstorm hits you're pretty much boned all you can do is hope you have enough HP to survive it. Soulstorm can miss though, which is where having a purple or 2 up will help you.
Pretty sure the Phase attack also requires a tohit check...sometimes she'll hit me with it sometimes she wont...
I've seen a rock tank get dropped by soul storm. Your best bet is to stack up on break frees or purples and make that attack miss. Then zap her with the crey freeze gun to slow the recharge a little. Although I'm not too sure how much it will help vs an AV.

Yep. BFs worked for the first while, then she fired Soulstorm and absolutely demolished me. Not sure if I just had a gap where I forgot to take one or if she actually punched through BF + PB.
Got her to about half bar of HP and then toast. Purples don't add much since I'm already ~42% def, so I guess it's just "keep trying till you get a fight where she never lands Soulstorm".
Bah.
Thanks for the tips.

the power you are talking about is Black Hole. It is a intangible power so I don't think a Break Free will work against it.

Well if it is the Soulstorm like the one if the STF then it is a mag 100 hold so you will need lots of BFs.

Oh yeah, you're roght Prey. Don't know why I didn't remember that.
Her big mez will demolish you if it hits. There is simply no way to have enough mez protection to keep it from affecting you or to break out of it. I've lived through it at least once on my Regen (probably Dull Pain + Instant Healing), and someone with Willpower was able to consistently survive it. I haven't heard any other reports of surviving it.
So yes, on a Super Reflexes, it's keep trying until she fails to land it for the entire fight. I personally gave up after 40 or 50 failed attempts. She's doable, since I've had her down to I think 10% health, but I just got bored with it.

Yes, yes it is. Heck, even the Elite Boss version has the MAG100 hold. It would take 9 breakfrees to counteract the hold.

Ah, I couldn't remember who it was. Of course it was you.

The best strategy is to OD on reds and pray to god that you kill her before she lands her mez
I was following my usual no temps no insps rule, so reds were out. I'm not sure how much it would have helped anyway. My build isn't really a DPS build, so the fights were pretty long.

I've survived it on my /SR....but it was more luck then anything....the dumb broad figured it would be a good idea to hit me with Black Hole immediately after Soulstorm
I've survived it on my inv by hitting DP right when the Soulstorm went off (actually before, and with the lag it went off right when SS hit, it was luck) or having DP up and not getting hit at all by her following hits.

Uh... That would have still greased you. It may be a DoT but unless you change your resistance before the ticks apply, they are still going to do the damage, intangible or not. That said, I don't remember the non-level 54-STF GW's damage from that hold but I'm fairly certain it's still enough to kill a Scrapper without high regen and capped HP.
If you reverse that order, Black Hole -- Soul Storm, then it's all good.

GW at 50 will do 2623.95 to a 50, with her Soul Storm. Survivable with some regen and/or some resistance, but then she's also got 10 seconds to shoot you.

SR's scaling resistances will increase as the DoTs progress. That might be sufficient to survive it, but I haven't checked the math. (It's not especially hard, I'm just at work.)

I've killed her quite a few times. Had purples, break frees and some greens. She's doable. Takes a while if you have low DPS.
BS/SR - so it took quite a while. Then of course Recluse, Mako and BS.
I can outdamage her regen rate and seem to be able to stay alive, but she seems to be able to mezz me through Practiced Brawler. What the hell? Any tips?
