  1. Yeah. I usually play taunt bot with Recluse when I run STFs, and while Taunt is autohit, it doesn't seem to be while the towers are up.

I figured he had taunt protection of somekind.

Usually, this isn't a problem, but every now and again, with enough misses, the duration will run out and he'll run off, just taunt him back.

Of course, that could be hard to do when he runs up to a shield scrapper.
  2. Eh. Just seemed like it would be better fights. Instead of fighting coutless hired lackey's, fights like Spider-Man VS Venom, Batman VS Joker.

We don't have enough of those fights.

Tip missions feel more like Spider-Man VS Thug #5.

    Not at all.

Mutant with the power to summon and control Demons. What's to limit them from gaining that ability?

Science can easily fall the same line as mutants.

Tech Origin uses tech to summon forth and control the demons.

And while the powerset is called Demon Summoning, one could easily say they're manifestations of one's imagination/nightmares and made tangible!

Lot's of ways to work around things if one tries.
  4. Did you try Envenomed Dagger temp power?

Her race was close enough kryptonians that it would have worked.

This one of those times I wouldn't have picked who the character picked to pair off with if I was in their shoes I'd taken maxima over Lois and Black cat over MJ, but I seem to always be drawn to the slightly crazy/wild ones. It's the Batman/Cat woman deal. (or Silverbolt/Black arachnia if you re a transformers fan.)

In anycase Lois usually always came across as too be-witchy for my tastes and thought she was too good for Clark 90% of the time. They rarely seemed to have much chemistry, so I never got why the pairing. (Which in the Timverse they had Bruce Wayne date her , which showed just how superfical she really is. Like unless you're a billionaire or super power Lois Lane doesn't have time for you.) She's easily my least favorite like female love interest in comics. I just don't get the attraction unless you re just a masochist, given all punishment Superman is known for taking that just might be the case.
Oh, well it's not that I don't agree with you on the pairing being bad. Or really good.

I know I've hard my opinions on who should pair with who in comics, but isn't that part of being a fan of the comic.

Peter with Felcia is the only thing good imo, that could come out of OMD, if they even do it! To me they are the perfect couple

Same with other pairings. I prefere Cyclops with Emme Frost too! I hope he never goes back to Jean (who I don't hate, I just dont want her with Scott )
  6. Not in a huge way. But we have all these named NPCs, but they're conning as Lts. or Bosses.

Up them to Elite Boss status, and allow those who want the challenge to have them con as AVs.

Silent Whisper is suppossed to be this big time assassin, and she's a LT or Boss rank? :/

Let's make it seem like a real hero vs villain fight!
  7. My question. Are they doing this to grief, or just exiting a mission and throwing up the portal to his PI, which is where you go on the second mission of the STF.

What I can't accept is how ill-conceived it was to tell the entire playerbase to do the same task force over and over again.

Last night on Virtue, Independence Port had tremendous lag and appeared to be about to crash at least twice that I saw. Getting onto Stateman's ship was a slideshow. Telling your players to gather in the same zone every single day was a bad decision.

But even that's minor compared to the mind-numbing tedium of doing the same task force several times, on one character or with several. And once you've completed it on one character, that character is too powerful to find challenge in any other content in the game -- not that you can play any other high-level content, because most everyone else is grinding away at the WST.

Issue 19 came with new, challenging task forces that reinvigorated the high level game. Issue 19.5 is a step backwards, instructing the playerbase to re-consume old content for even less reward. The WST is a recipe for boredom, and it will only be played for as long as people can stand doing repetitive tasks. Every player will have their limit; I hit mine in one day.

I just wanted to give the devs my opinion. They made a misstep with this design. Be sure that, in Issue 20, you give us something interesting to do. Please.
You don't have to do the WST over and over again. You just have to do it once per incarnate if you want the reward at that time for the incarnate character.
  9. I'm going to guess it's Lana Lang if it's not Lois Lane.

Did he even want the roll?

I mean I could of easily went from Smallville mythos to a completely new movie mythos with Tom Welling laying the part again.

But I figured it was more of a, been playing Superman for 10 years on TV, if he plays him in the movies, he may really be type casted.

There has been nothing said in the comics that has ever said Lois couldn't give Clark a baby

Though you're right, Morgot Kidder's Lois Lane was a terrible Lois Lane. I won't put the blame on her though, I'll blame the director/writers for how Lois' personality came out in the movies.

  13. Spider-Man. Deadpool. Gambit. Jubilee. Basically those who throw out oneliners and wisecracks. Have a sense of humor.

Obviosuly Spider-Man is the best at it.

The first three films barely touched on it, but for decades, one of Spiderman's MANY powers beyond his agility and wall walking was his signature "spider sense," a sort of vague precognition that would warn Peter Parker of imminent physical danger.

I realize this is a geeky nitpick entirely tangential to your points. This additional power makes Parker in no way a god, BUT as a decades long fan of the long running mythos I am saddened that this aspect of the character was for the most part written out of the mainstream films (aside from a few moments in the first film where it is hinted at via some time changes and audio cues played when we are sort of inside Parker's head just before an action sequence begins). Plus it gave the artists this great excuse to draw these wonderfully graphic halo of black wavy lines around Spidey's head.

Okay--back to the subject at hand.

    </geekmoment>
I know that. She has something close to it, if only not as effective.

I just didn't see how maxing Spider-Man with Wolverine made a god. It seemed more like a typical superhero to me.

Hmmm...dodging like and cortorting body like Spider-Man (can be blind-sided, is just very agile), while using blades that cut through anything and having regenerative abilities, makes one a god?

o.O I thought that was typical superhero.
  16. 6 melee? That's it? Done it with 8 melee! Don't know why people think you need the debuffs/buffs to complete the STF

    heh...

"I'm a Telekinetic and Super Strong!"

    "How strong is super strong?"

"As much as I can lift with telekinesis!"

    "OMG! YOU ARE OPed!"

See the silliness in people saying super strong is OPed with telekinesis.

That's like saying you can't be Super Strong with any melee set other than Super Strength.

"I use Dual Blades and I have SUper Strength!"

"How strong is your super strength!"

"Strong enough to put these dual blades through a tank!"

    "OMG! YOU ARE OPed!"

Yeah...now while this wouldn't work with all power sets, saying your Super Strong isn't OPed with a long of concepts.
  18. I love Dual Pistols. It's the neighbors I can't stand! *glares at Mental Manipulation and waits for Ninjitsu, Willpower, or even Widow's or Soldiers Secondary to movie in*

  21. I say replace the Debt Protection with varios Mag 2 Mez Protection!

Do that, people will start wanting the set to stack the mez protection.

    More Slots

Choosing slots provides a challenge still on deciding builds. You want 6, others will eventually want more. And one time would be bad in a game that changes over time.

    Edit

    Couple of other points.

First, will all players get this as easily? A merits or whatever may come easy to some but others take time. Plus what if it is something like A merits and players don't want run tip missions or have time to collect merits to convert?

And second is the content. Add more slots, things get easier since we can slot powers better or add more set bonuses, etc. The mobs will get easy and run the risk of becoming boring or upgraded to keep us challenged. I would not want to be fighting upgraded mobs on a toon without the extra slots.
While I'm not saying whether the idea is good or not, I think your points are of no matter.

It doesn't matter that all players couldn't get them as fast as others. Not everyone levels as fast as everyone else. Therefore since all could work towards it, it means all have access.

It's like people complaining about doing team content on a MMO. "Whuh?! I have to do a TF to get this reward faster, then if I went solo?"

    It's just lame really.

As for the second part, I don't know if 6 slots would really make that big of a difference. Looking at my main as an example, 6 slots would get it an enhanced blast that causes redraw, and the bonuses of either Thunder Strike or Apocalypse. None of which would all of a sudden make any of the content easier than it is now (depending on the level and enemies of course).

Now assuming my character didn't get redraw with using the blast, I still wouldn't likely say it's that game breaking. The 6 slots just wouldn't be all that in terms of set bonuses.

It's not like we were all suddenly told that the reason for our powers was because we were aliens exiled from our home planet.

Oh wait, that was Highlander 2.

Still, I see Sam's point. I don't think I could ever run an all natural character to 50 for the same reason. Not without falling back on advanced technology or some other source of power.
    o.O

Didn't it always say that powers came about when Statesman and Recluse drank fromt he well, thus opening it up for powers to return, and thusly why our characters could do the things they did?

Yeah. Fine. Fae were always around, but they were in hiding because they were weak. Then the Well is brought back and boom, they could go out again.

That's basically how I read it.

They can limit the acquisition time by requiring me to play specific content for what (on average) takes a player a week. Or they can require me to play a couple of hours of content, and then leave the rest of my play week free to do whatever kind of content I want until the time limit expires. I personally find the latter a lot more fun, and also much friendlier for a game where people have a lot of alts.
This is basically how I was looking at it.

I don't see the reason to rush (not saying I wouldn't get it as fast as I could if I could ).

You know the current time table on it. What does this mean? It means you get the Notice, then you move on and do all the other things you can do...tips, alts, more TFs for shards/merits/fun...ect...ect...
  25. I don't know. So far I haven't seen anything except the first mission of the incarnate arc, that makes one seem like a god.

I just continue to imagine my main as being as a SG member put it "a combination of Spider-Man and Wolverine"
