Not really much you can do to get higher Resistance out of base slotting. -

Im a sucker for some wasted time. I used to play EQ back in the day when it was at its height and i remember there were plentiful amounts of vanity type powers that had little or no function other than to amuse, entertain, and add depth to a character. I think it is one aspect that coh has not yet developed further but one that i think could ultimately seal the deal in terms of playability and over all attractiveness of the game. Why? Because it's the little things that make a huge difference. Let's say for instance that someone is playing a mind dom. Wouldn't it add leagues more depth to the experience of playing a mind dom if maybe you had a power in which you could control a random NCP and attack as that character. Or maybe an illusion troller might be able to set different appearances on himself/herself and on other players.
I think alot of those sort of vanity powers wouldn't be too difficult to implement and would add tremendous depth to the game.
That said, Confuse sort of does the same thing, without you actually controlling them, doesn't it?
The illusion idea makes lots of sense, in a shouldn't an illusion maker beable to do such a thing type of way. The problem comes in the griefing players would endure from other players who just want to be dumb.
Think people complain now about drive by buffs? Just imagine drive by illusion casting. -

This isn't to say great costumes can't be made with the other awesome, OMG so intricate pieces...but I find most people don't often mix them well. -

Marvel has a few heroes who've been put in over what their usual solo title would go...like Spider-Man in space! But he doesn't tend to get big bad new tech out of it, and it happens less often. -

It just seems like such a strange argument to me. I'm not against making a "Batman in the real world" movie, and Nolan really hit it outta the park. I just don't cotton to the claims that Batman ONLY makes sense in that setting.

That's one of the main reasons I GO to movies (or read comics). I WANT to see the scrappy hero overcome odds he should have no chance of surviving.
Also, why is Batman always the one to get called out on this? There are plenty of characters with the exact same dynamic, yet nobody seems to say anything about them. I'm guessing it's just cause Batman's really popular.
For all that Superman is, he can't be everywhere at once. This has been proven time and time again.
Sure, Superman could go to Gotham and keep the streets clean, but then other things begin to happen...
...new criminals show up who think they can take out Superman. So, a city who's crime was relatively low powerlevel, but smart and/or connected, just got new superpowered criminals!

...Gotham's streets are cleaned, but it takes constant vigilance from Superman to keep it that way, and thus Metropolis starts to go down.
Now, as for them on the same team it can work, but when one looks at Batman's solo title and then at JLU it just falls apart in so much as you wonder why he doesn't use the tech to begin with. -

Given the results at the end and the lines of the other orderlies, it is very likely that the head orderly was using the girls in the sanitarium as his own personal harem. So Storm Kick would be the 1st power, 2nd Crippling Axe Kick and 3rd Cobra Strike. Although those attacks do recharge slower than Thunder Kick, they also do better damage for their endurance costs...and they have better secondary effects for higher mitigation compared to Thunder Kick.

Yes, but comic books don't require actors that have to wear these costumes and perform athletic feats in them for extended periods of time. There has to be some measure of practicality taken into consideration for the safety and comfort of the wearer.
I understand the practicallity of such changes in RL of course.
Though, you say safety, and I have to think, didn't they switch to the flats when anything like running needed to be done? -

I agree. I think the material change was more for durability than the aesthetics. That shiny stuff tears very easily. Especially if it's the same material used to make the costumes from the Power Rangers movie from long ago. Also digging the red boots. Still nice, and above all else, PRACTICAL.
That said, I like the idea of the flatter boots, purely for the "in high heels...now in flats...now back in high heels" we'd get otherwise. -

I've thought that PvP here in CoH is pretty limited with no point except killing the other person. Deathmatch type PvP is hard for me to get into, I would much prefer a type of capture the flag, or hold A,B,C points to win type games. I'm not a big fan of WoW, but they're PvP is done pretty well.
BTW, thanks for all the advice. I'm thinking about giving a tanker a shot.

WB and Siren's are dead not because PvP is dead, but because most people have their IOs slotted at level 50 (for max enhancement bonus %) which don't work on the lower level zones. Ditto on incarnate abilities.
I know that's why I prefere RV over the other zones. -

Sucker Punch, in my opinion, doesn't have that. See, I read a lot of promotional material for the movie, and everything I read swore up and down six ways to Sunday that SP is Baby Doll's story. So I was actually annoyed at the big "revelation" more than anything. Don't get me wrong, I'd been wondering -why- the movie was called "Sucker Punch" since I heard the title, but I just feel the twist ending was poorly done. For me, the two girls getting killed suddenly, and Baby Doll getting lobotomized -anyway- overwhelm any happy endingy closure of Sweet Pea being the lone survivor of the whole thing.
The Sucker Punch as it were, comes from the fact, that it was all about getting Sweet Pea free and not BD.
That doesn't stop it from being Baby Doll's story. -
