Well, yeah, Dark Mastery has the faster recharging Soul Drain, and Dark Consumption...but...it totally lacks Soul Storm! It's so pretty!
  2. I'm not oppossed to Hasten, it's more that I can usually come up with enough +RCH outside of using Hasten, to obtain the DPS chain I'm trying for.

Right now as it is, I just lack the End Rec. :/ Hasten I would think just make that more apparent.

Though if I do add Hasten to the build with 5 second off of perma easily enough, that's 111 DPS on the attacks alone, add in Tar Patch and -Regen...the build obviously needs some tweaking.

I'm more than willing to spend inf on this build but I'd rather not use the 3 big PVP shinies please. Thanks in advance.
I'd forgot the +3% Resist PvP IO, but the +3% Defense IO and the -Resist Proc would only be worthwhile!

Here's my DB/WP build. It's of course a bit off, but should help give you an idea of what to try for in a Spines/WP...

I'd only 4 slot Lunge with the Kinetic Combats...as it's really a terrible attack to be using!

  4. Okay, made some changes...I thought I had moved that 5th slot in DN, guess I hadn't.

Didn't worry about the KB protection to much, as with lots of defense and the -tohit, on my Defender, that covered KB missing quite a bit, but I liked the idea of getting one KB protection IO into the build.

However, looking over the build, I'm wondering if the Apoc set is worth putting into Fire Blast. The dmg proc is nice, and the +RCH, but none of that really helps the DPS chain any, maybe I should put Thunderstrikes in the attack instead, as that will be a bit more ENDREC and even more Range Defense.

  5. While I want to say Scrapper...something to think about now when it comes to end game content, which is what the OP has mentioned.

DM/INV with Barrier = 90% Resists across the board!
  6. Here's my build! Curious if anyone can think of possible changes. As it is right now, the Nuke is taken purely for occaissional fun use of seeing a big explosion. I have no intention to use it often, as it would drop my toggles!

The last two powers are only taken as *shrug* whatever powers. ShouldI replace them?

I went for high defense, as I have found with my Dark/Ice, Dark/Sonic Defenders, that high defense makes a BIG difference when combined with -to hit debuffs.

So with these powers in mind, any changes one could think I should make?

I love this idea...more so if it made NPCs automatically say "OMGWTF! They're still alive!?"

But I don't think the fear effect needs to be as strong as the stun in Soul Transfer. that's a mag 30 Stun.

I'd be happy with a mag 5 or 6 Fear effect. Just enough to effect Bosses and below.

Wouldn't most new reveals about a character be completely out of left field?

Unless there's some place they're telling new character advancement stories that I don't know about, anytime they add new content would be when to reveal "so and so like each other!"

That said, I don't think this thread has done anything to say one way or the other in which way it actually is, and more of a "Well I like the idea of them as couple" or "Meh I don't".

    The Build Thread

Here's my current DB/WP Build. There's a few 1 slot power choices one can easily replace with for added END RED or +DMG, or sacrifice some +REC/+HEALTH for concept wanting epic pool powers (or Shadow Meld even).

Expensive, but what I'm currently running live, as of now. Yup, I really use those levels of IOs on my build. One can easily just go with the max levels for the IO sets, but I like feeling all powerful when I exempt down too

That's what I thought (like Pacific Beach is a section of the city San Diego), I was just curious to it, as the bio made me curious if I was wrong.

I realize not all zones are parts of Paragon City as well, at least that's my understanding of Striga.
  12. I don't think there has to be a change to these shield buffs.

I also don't expect the shielding set users to buff an entire league (if they want to go for it), but yes I would expect this from one on the same team.

My suggestion, if they're on the team and not shielding the team, kick them or just don't invite them along the next time.
  13. I like the character, but isn't it Paragon City, and Kings Row is part of the city, not a city all unto itself? Or have I been mistaken this whole time?

Please don't think I am asking others to feel like I do. I say enjoy the story, get frustrated at inconsistencies, whatever. All I am saying is that I am not there.
Truthfully, I'd say you're inthe majority.

I tend to try to stick to some of which makes sense to stick to, but then, I realize have to ignore other bits here and there, but then I RP, and if you RP, I really don't see how you can't skip some of it, when you run into characters that blantantly go against CoH lore.

Hey! That's how I chose the name BrandX to begin with!

Well, that and the X Eyes option I love so much.

One was 49. One was 12. Two were in the mid-20s. Had that happen during a Rikti raid, as well - my mid-teen Controller had three Rikti raids to choose from... all to herself. yeah... no.

Edit: It's another reason I'll usually argue against adding more zones (well, other than something non-trashy for villainside.) Praetoria makes sense to have them, yes, but our population is so spread out (other than gathering for Incarnate Farms) it seems a bit bare at times.
    Agreed!

The actual intent of the line is somewhat in dispute even by Shakespeare scholars, but since it was spoken by Dick the Butcher, a wise-cracking murderous bad guy, many believe it is, in fact, a back-handed compliment to lawyers and their role of protecting rights.

Folks forget that there are lawyers on either side of most disputes. The problem is that the lawyers have hate directed at them due to the circumstances. Think about it. If you get sued, you hate the other lawyer, win or lose. If you lose, you hate your own lawyer, too. Even if you win, you are not too fond of your own lawyer, even if he or she did a great job, once you get the bill.

And yet most attorneys work hard to do a great job dealing with the messes their clients get into. Like any profession, there are bad ones but the majority are very good.

Sorry for the threadjack, but misuse of that quote is a pet peeve of mine.
I thought people hated lawyers because it was becoming more about the WIN with prosecuters, than anything else.

"He's innocent, we know this, but the evidence also points to him."

"Well we need to punish someone and we've come this far!"

Defense attorney's, well, like I always say, if I need defended, I want them to pull out all there is to let me win. So of course, people are going to hate them too.

That said, is it misquoting or just using a well known quote, in a new context?

Would of it made any difference if they said "Let's kill all the lawyers first"?

As for whether or not Gaga did or did not give permission at first, not something we'll ever really know. Right now they all say she didnt even know, and it's quite possible that's how it was.

Still just as possible for them to change their mind but want to save face. Personally, I think Wierd Al's done better songs.

If I'm not mistaken, there's a different set of tip missions for every 10 levels...

    20-30

...so yeah, it'll feel like a lot of repeating.

You realize there are 3 doors for each section of the LS, right?
