Anyone else return for Incarnates?
Yeah, a bit. I'd actually stayed subbed, and every now and again, at least after my enforced 15-month break during deployment with the Army, got Modern a bit further along the path to 50, but I didn't really make much of an effort until the whole Incarnate thing was announced. Granted, I got distracted by Praetoria and the morality system, too, but meh.
Nice to see you are still around Kant! I just started doing Tip missions as well. They are very well done but I have not seen alot of variety with them. It seems like I get the same seven or so missions every time. Of course I am staying Hero so that may affect that.

Oh hey there GK, definatly some good stuff. Enough to drive a veteran altaholic insane. Can always use some folks out there enjoying it. Stick around word is it is only gonna get better
Imagine if they actually ADVERTIZED For this game and kicked in their affiliate program again... lol!!!
I returned (although coincidentally, not specifically for Incarnates) after being gone from the game for five years. A friend of mine was all "Hey, let's check out CoH again with trial accounts!" and after 10 minutes messing around with the character creator I renewed my account and entered a world I once knew but am now entirely lost in.
But hey, I'm having fun being lost!
Maybe. >_>

Indeed and it's been a blast thus far.
I re-subbed for the Issue, but not necessarily for the Incarnate Trials. If I can't raid in WoW, I can't raid here.
I'm enjoying all the other aspects of the game, though. Having a blast re-acquainting myself with my very first MMO (CoV). Like walking...Or running...Or flying...Or 'porting down Memory Lane!
I live! Still!
Now! This is it! Now is the time to choose! Die and be free of pain or live and fight your sorrow! Now is the time to shape your stories! Your fate is in your hands!
I never unsubbed but I've been scarce in game , incarnate content has made me active again and I'm enjoying seeing old friends resurface.
I came back for GR in general, but the incarnate stuff was part of that. I haven't really gotten into the trials though. In the abstract they strike me as something I'd like, but in practice I just haven't enjoyed them much. I'm hoping the next round of new trials will click a little better with me.
WoW locks you to the instance once you enter it and will only let you run through it once a week, and resets it after that week whether you're finished or not. It also encourages cliques by locking you, and by making coordination and proper build and execution of moves so key to winning that I'd sooner scrape my teeth with a pirate's hook than do a pick-up raid.
City is almost entirely pick-up raids, and with rare exception, they work. There is no "you need X number of tanks and X number of healers" there's "grab at least one tank/brute and a few support, healing or otherwise, and we're good to go". And if your friend is running late? Well good thing you can run two (or three, or ten) raids in a night if you want to. He can join you on the next one.

Heya Grae. I've been subbed since Going Rogue, really. The new incarnate stuff really does give you a reason to continue playing your 50s again. The Praetorian stuff is pretty cool, too. When you get the chance you should try out the Apex and Tin Mage Task Forces, but you'll need to get something in your Alpha slot for that.
Characters!:
Pinny - Scrapper
Shadewing - Defender

Welcome back, old man.
Apex - most folks I know have their time split between the incarnate trials and weekly strike targets... so there's plenty of teams when Apex -is- the weekly strike target. Give me some notice and I'll run one with you.

I even see male toons in the Angels!!
Grae, check on our SG global channel or on our Vent server. Usually it's a simple task to grab the foundation for an Apex from there.

I was convinced by a friend that I needed to resub and check out the changes to the game and I have to say after a full week of playing my level 50 tank, I love the changes. I left the game right before Going Rogue went live so everything from that point on is brand new to me. I have really enjoyed the two trials and the one new TF I did (Sutter). It has also been great seeing some faces running around that I recognize. I also got to give Weather King my thanks for helping me understand the Lambda Trial on my first run. So much organized chaos.
Anyone else come back after an extended break?
