Quote:You have a point. Temporal Mastery would be my pick.My first thought is that they should rename it. Cold Domination already is an annoying name that sounds like it should be a Dominator set. Do not use the blaster secondary naming convention for a buff/debuff set; think consistent user experience, consistent user experience, consistent user experience.
Time
Time Guide/Guiding
Time Mastery
Time Command
Time Supremacy
Time Wielding
Time Handling
I am also sad that the game already has 13 buff/debuff sets, and yet that is where a new set is being added instead of adding new blaster/dominator secondaries. -
I put my prediction in another thread, but I'll put it here too...
A positional defense AOE shield ala Force Field Generator and Dispersion Bubble. No typed defense, as it wouldn't make sense with Time Manipulation (imo anyways). Possibly with a S/L Resist as a way of lessening the blow of such physical attacks.
An AOE regen or heal ability.
Then a lot of slows and +RCH.
Maybe some -Defense.
Then a -regen power.
And I like the idea of Summon Duplicates. Doesn't have to have the same powers, it can be akin to Phantom Army, but the doubles just look like the character.
Adding to that prediction, a hold would make sense as well.
I really hope this is a set that plays well for solo as well as teaming. And personally don't want to see (though have no problem with them in the other sets as I have played them) Shield Other type players.
Also don't want to see a targeted heal ala DM or KIN. -
Quote:A bit. And again a bit in Voyager, when the crew made their own light space craft type ship. But they had to have Tuvok ruin it with "The Spoiler doesn't make sense and is a waste." over Tom's "It looks cool!"They play with the idea some with the Runabout in DS9, don't they? And then also that one rebel group fighting the Cardassians that Chkotay was from (sorry if I manged that spelling... not a fan of Voyager) and was also featured in TNG? I know they were using whatever they had to hand, but I did like the use of smaller craft around all the big cruisers type ships.
Yeah, I could see weariness in the last couple TNG movies... the scripts weren't all that great, and there was spark missing from everything, other than maybe the new Data singing at the very end of the last movie.
Ha, I completely forgot about the opening to that episode. That one is hilarious, too. John de Lancie played off of Stewart in every episode he was in.
At least Tom got he joystick control over buttons

Quote:Not at all. Spock Prime can leave them a message on all the important things! That was me that pointed that out. So will Kirk encounter Planet Talos and will it still become the planet that Starfleet will forbid travel to under penalty of death?
How about the vampiric cloud that drained blood from its victims? Kirk first encountered it when he served on the Faragutt and remembered it years later as Captain of the Enterprise when they found it again.
How about the DOOMSDAY machine?
How about Kirk's trip to the Mirror Universe and how we saw in an episode of DS9 what the ramifications of Kirk's speech to goatee Spock were? For that matter does Kirk getting the Enterprise early in this new timeline also affect the mirror universe?
and of course we cannot forget that somewhere in space drifts a certain old ship by the name of BOTANY BAY........
How about how down the line we get visited by the Probe that needed to speak to humpback whales?
Those are some old story points that should be drastically affected by this time change and Kirk gaining the Enterprise 5 years ahead of schedule.
Also as I recall from the original timeline, Pike took the Enterprise on a 5 year mission the ship gets a refit/upgrade, then Kirk gets it for his 5 year mission in TOS. After that we get the Motion Picture with the Enterprise rebuilt/upgraded and Kirk reclaims it to stop V'ger and then apparently uses his fame and glory from that victory to get the ship for another 5 year mission. After that he is relegated to Starfleet Academy and bored out of his mind and restless, then comes Khan's Wrath, death of Spock, Spock restored and original Enterprise (which in that movie was stated to be 20yrs old) destroyed, and Starfleet insisting that Kirk remain an Admiral and work at Starfleet Academy vs. being in charge of a ship, until Kirk brought back the whales to stop that probe......
So things are now very much askew from the old timeline. -
I suspect...

Not going anywhere.
Though I will take a cue from the Name Watch Thread and grab awesome names for every slot on the VIP server and never use them. ^_^ -
Seeing as how my DP/MM Blaster, DB/WP, RAD/DP (all my namesake in various ATs/Power set combos) is a Time Manipulator...ME (well I may go Corr instead >_>)
Positional Defense to self and team is a must imo. It's the only ay to really make one feel like a time manipulator.
I suspect a AOE heal as well, due to rewinding time to heal self.
If this becomes a set like I've been wanting, this will be awesome. I hope they don;t let me down with this set. -
Quote:If you're a farming build...take Consume, and use blue inspirations when they drop!Hey guys i know this has probably been answered alot but i just want somewhere that people can check for a quicker answer
How can you get good Endurance Recovery on a SS/FA Brute without going the endurance recovery Alpha slot?
Also what would be the best epic power pool for such a build is a patrol hero or villain better?

Quote:No room! Why not Darkest Night? Unsloted its steady 10% -tohit and 20% -dmg, its huge on AVs/GMs (and actually quite amazing on tough packs since its even AoE, not to mention is a super herd tool).
I have to have Hurl, as well, it's fun to use! You tear your fingers into the ground and pull out a chunk of it and throw it at someone! How can you pick SS and not pick this power up?!
I've seen 5 SS/ Brutes recently who didn't have it!
Soul Tentacles...again...who doesn't want to ensnare people in oily black gooey latez like substance?! So had to go in there for concept! -
Okay, it wasn't half. It just seemed that way with the writing. Entire cities of mutants. Gangs of mutants. It was to the point one wondered how they were even a minority.

Quote:I agree! I always thought Trek needed some small military fighter crafts. Then Nemesis shows them, and they don't do much with themThe Borg TNG movie was good... I try to forget the ones after that. The very last one had some decent ideas in it, but it couldn't overcome... a blandness it had? I don't know how to describe it, but it just lacked spark, even with the Enterprise ramming into an enemy ship. Most TNG episodes were better, I guess is what I am saying.
And yes, Picard was definitely more crazy in his younger days. One of the better episodes of TNG was when Q let him go back to fix a mistake from his wilder, earlier days in the Fleet, which of course made him into the captain he was (it also features one of my favorite Q quotes ever "Is there a John Luck Pickerd here?"). The later movies probably overdid the romance angle for him, but... it's not like a lot of ladies don't like Patrick Stewart anyway.

If you're going with Fire Armor, I'd say Katana with the use of DA in the chain.
However, DB is easy to get BF-Attack vitals chain going on very little recharge. I run the chain without gaps with just 57% global recharge.
With 40% global recharge, enough RCH slotted into the powers should get you there, and if not quite there, witht he Spiritual Alpha for sure. -
Quote:I don't know...my SS/FA/Soul Brute has Soul Tentacles (purely for concept reasons) where it's the suit (symbiote based powers) lashing out (think something along the lines of the venom symbiote)I think the biggest thing that makes this concept difficult is midnight grasp. There's not a lot of expinations for giant gooey looking tenticles coming out of the ground and surrounding your enemy.
That said, i'd go with the deathless/zombie/ghoul concept... one can color the dark graphics these days, so you could go witha a "slimey" or "ectoplasmic" name or perhaps some kind of sticky insect name. -
Quote:Take Gloom and fix ELM's ST DPS problems.Hey does anyone have any opinions about a good primary to go with Willpower? I know SS is the best choice but I already have a SS brute and I'm kind of tired of rage crashes. I would like something that can farm quickly but I still want good survivability and few weaknesses which is why I think I want /WP as my secondary. The first thing that comes to mind is Elec but I'm not sure if I like the lack of single target dps. I was wondering if FM or SM had enough aoe to be good at farming, at least at higher levels.

Quote:It's also something that was suppossed to take centuries (evolution) not have half the world being mutants (even if most were relatively low power scale) in a few decades.Well the thing about the mutants was that they were supposed supposed to be an emerging species that would one day outnumber humans and eventually rule the planet. No doubt the writers wanted to explore the kind of stories that would unfold as that transition began. Naturally, it was swept aside for a return to the status quo with the horrible Disassembled and House of M storylines.
I'm generally one of those folks that doesn't care if things get rebooted or overhauled so long as we get a good story out of it, but that wasn't even the case that time. -
Quote:I'd say there's a bit of a difference between friend being a crippled mess and friend thought dead, as no one but a few people and their species seemed to know anything about the energy flux.Shatner is now too much of a caracture of himself to stuff himself back into a starfleet uniform.
Wasn't there a plan for the recent reboot movie for Spock Prime to have a recorded holo message from Kirk that he keeps to remind himself of their friendship, and wasn't he going to show that to young spock?
Also in the old series, Spock hijacks the Enterprise and risks his life and that of Kirk's to deliver Captain Pike to Talos where he can at least have a semblance of a life for the rest of his days. This was all due to Vulcan honor towards his former Captain. Thus I'm surprised there wasn't a movie or a major storyline in one of the other Trek series after Kirk perished in Generations with Spock thoroughly investigating what happened to his friend and seeing if it were possible to undo it. Too late now of course. -
Thomas Jane Punisher...I love that punisher!
And Dolh Lungdren's Punisher wasn't nearly as bad as Arnold's Mr Freeze.
To be honest, I think the list is way off on quite a few of them.
Haven't seen The last Punisher movie, but this seems to be more of a list of things I wish they'd have changed about certain comic book movies, rather than Comic Chars Movies Got Wrong.
Bane, Deadpool (except for the early minutes as mentioned), Two Face, I can agree with (already forgotten a lot of the list)...
But Cyclops, while not given much and totally screwed over in X3 (and I thought he got a bit screwed over in X2 with a real lack of screen time), was done quite well imo. I never had a problem like many seem to have with Cyclops, but his character didn't seem so changed from the comics to make me think THEY GOT HIM WRONG! -
That could be the audience wisening up. Except for Avatar and How to Train Your Dragon, I haven't found any movie to be worth the 3D.

o.O Now he won't have the superpower to stick to walls, it'll be his gloves and boots? What the hell is that all about?

[QUOTE=Wicked_Wendy;3694897]Well first of all there is a way around dragging Penny anywhere in mission one.. All you need is one player with ATT or recall friend at the front door after you rescue Penny and POOF she is rescued. Then you can actually defeat the Clockwork king (an AV worth considerable XP to anyone under level 50) instead of failing the mission.
Now on mission three if they wanted to change the rescue and lead out to a simple RESCUE I could see it.. takes away the chance of failure since Infernia rants on so long that half the time the first Ambush has arrived before she will move. As for the other rescues.. Are you honestly telling me you have never done any other mission with multiple glowies/task spread out over an large map?
Without even going to the wiki to look .. The Defend the War Wall Badge mission invloves preventing Rikti from destroying three objects and rescuing 5 or 6 captured scientists .. and THEN you still need to defeat the Raid Leader.
I did the LGTF on a KILL all team a while back and when i say KILL ALL i mean it.. We even stuck around after defeating the Clockwork King and took out all of the ambushes. Rescued both Infernia and Galacia and battled our way, not stealth/tp, to the final chamber to take out the Honoree and finish the TF. In all it took us 1 hour and 42 minutes .. I was several million richer, without selling any salvage, etc, I had close to 100 more Vanguard Merits and my slavage, recipe and enhancement trays were full.
]
I will gladly join you on kill all TFs for Wendy.
Though I admit, I love to skip CoT on the STF and go straight for the vines. >_>
