Okay...just read the issue with the death of Spider-Man (#160), and I how do we know he just didn't die, but then revived on the way to the hospital?

Do you have the science booster? If so, you could adjust your height till you get to where you're happy.
And by people, I'm guessing you mean the enemies? What ones? Council tend to be super soldiers, so they're kinda supped up.
I'm thinking maybe you should put it at the half way mark between 6ft and 7ft and see if that works for you. -
Quote:Wonder if /EA will have the 20% +RCH that /ELA has. I'd say very likely.Electric melee will be better with nin for the reason brandx said. As far as everything else, nin will still have more mitigation. /EA will have loads and loads of endurance though, so it will be sort of the defense version of electric armor. An /electric stalker that can softcap s/l will eventually have more mitigation than /ea, but the /ea will be better than a non-softcapped /electric.
/EA may beable to pull off more damage in the long run though. /EA will beable to concentrate on more +RCH, while the /ELA is focusing on getting S/L Defense. -
Don't know anything about this story. Was at the comic shop today and looked them over, just wasn't sure if it was worth picking up.
However, I'll have to say She-Hulk on the tall woman, and with that design, Spider-Woman as the other. -
Quote:Okay, I admit it, if they ported Illusion/ over to Doms, I'd make a new Dom. Ill/Fire or even maybe Ill/Ice :OSure you could roll another AT.. but then you could roll another Dom !!!!!
I'm sure there's a reason they didn't however, so I'll look over that new Time Manipulation. Hopefully it's a fun set (for me...doesn't matter if it's fun for anyone else
)

Quote:And that was just a build going for what I would think most would go after on a MA/EA.Add in the T4 Spritual Radial for the bonus +rech, +heal, +jump, and +stun.
MA/EA has...a LOT of powerful synergies. That is going to be a simply ridiculous amount of stun.
Personally, I wouldn't go with Fire Epic, and likely not have skipped Crane Kick (I love all of MA's animations).
But seeing what could be done...Ooooo.
Doesn't do anything for Stalkers need for some +DMG imo >_> But, I think by what we've heard so far, it's going to be an impressive powerset.
People will be suggesting NIN, WP, an EA imo after this.
*Note: Not that people don't suggest the others >_> But NIN and WP tend to be the go to sets for suggesting. -
I've been getting crashes constantly since i20.5. Sometimes I make it through a trial, sometimes I don't.

Hmmm...wasn't it possible to get the Atlas Medallion at lvl 1 before, and now have to wait for level 14.

Quote:Naaaa...I don't see them getting rid of Frozen Aura. It's to awesome looking of an animation to let it go to waste.Frozen Aura has only a 10' radius, little more than Spin and etc. Footstomp has 15 and it is way better due to kd and Rage. GIS is a very lackluster attack and I think that's what Stalkers are getting instead of FA, we don't see ST attacks getting pulled out of Stalker primaries.
I made my Ice/Ice Tanker specifically to use Frozen Aura, and did, BEFORE it got the damage added to it. -
Zem...Negate...I see a problem with your lists...they have 2 PBAOE attacks.
Ice Sword Circle AND Frozen Aura. I just don't see that happening.
1) Ice Barrage
2) Ice Sword
3) Freezing Touch
4) Assassin Strike
5) Build Up
6) Placate
7) Ice Patch
8) Ice Slash
9) Frozen Aura
Would be my guess.
Ice Melee needs Ice Patch if it won't be in the Epics, and right now there are no Ice Epics. It's to linked to the concept not to be available to an AT with Ice capabilities.
There's a loss of Frost, but I just don't imagine them taking out Ice Sword or Ice Barrage. Now they could take out FT or IS for it, however the loss of FT and better version of GIS would be suckie. -
Quote:o.O A Powerset that said "Hey, you don't get your inherent"?SS probably won't be ported to scrappers as is but would anyone be willing take it as is double rage and all if it was ported sans crits?
Would they stop SS from being effected by Fury or Gauntlet/Bruising? -
Giving an Emp merit for using the queue would go along way in getting people to use it.
Just saying

Quote:Well I did qualify it with "looks"You are the 2nd person I have seen indicate a possible ranking for new EA. How do you people do this without having actually seeing anything about the new set but vague descriptions?

That said, I have an Ice Armor Tanker at 50, so I know Energy Absorbtion (which is my guess with how the ED change is going to play out, based on what they said), 50 Electric Armor Brute, so I know how Energize is, and looking over EA now (I never got one to 50, but I've played it like 20), it's really not hard to softcap it's defenses now to everything except Psi.
Since they said they were going to boost it's resists in the passives, I'm guessing that means 10% now, versus the 7.5% it has now. Not a big increase, but it's added Resists none the less.
Slow Resist and End Drain Resists added in (and with softcapped Energy Defense and ED, energy drain imo probably wasnt to much of an issue, if my Ice Tanker was any indication, or my WP Scrapper without the End Drain Protection, but with softcapped Energy Defense and lots of +END Procs) will add to the awesomeness.
I don't expect the Slow Resist to be more than 20%, but Grounded has like 60% so maaaaybe higher (I doubt it though).
Then you have Energize giving a heal and regen, and EA will have an easier time getting it to perma with IOs, that's a self heal every 30 seconds and +Regen.
Psi will be it's weak spot. And it won't have major Toxic Resist. But overall, I think it'll be up there.
Also heard mention of a raise in it's DDR (but this was second hand, saying it was mentioned onthe Ustream...so no idea on the validity of it), which coupled with higher Defense numbers, should help from cascade failure. Even without a raise in DDR, more defense helps with that to a point, which ED will provide.
But it's all speculation at this point for sure. But using what little I see, I don't see why it wouldn't be up there with INV/WP/SH.
All I wanted to see in the set was a change to CP, and the ability to reach capped Energy Resists (mind you I prefere to see that with all elemental sets...like Dark Armor being able to reach Negative Energy cap). -
On my Fire/Earth, my tactic was simple. Build for Perma Dom, and rely on mass lockdown (holds/stuns) and keep them that way, while I beat them up.

Quote:Having looked, yes, I can see Scrappers tending to out ST DPS a Blaster. But out damage? Blasters tend to have way more AOE.And every scrapper/brute should have a dual build too, one where they focus on damage and the other where they focus on survivability... Oh wait. They can have one build and get both those traits. Hmmm. Well at least dominators are still like blasters... oh wait, they have high damage and survivability at the same time too.
Or are you comparing low end blaster to high end scrapper/brute? -
Quote:Weird. Seeing as how the KB powers that do damage can kill enemies, how is KB an enemy survival boost?RoF does not deny others the use of their powers.
KB Scatter denies the maximal use of RoF, or any AoE effect/attack.
They should not stand there and admire anything. They should get their own AoEs and add to the destruction of enemies, instead of adding to our enemies lifespans.
Why control them, when they could be dead instead?
Are you sure you don't want to help our targets survive longer? Whose side are you on anyway?
KB = enemy survival boost.
But hey, the devs finally got around to allowing me to turn off those griefing tools people like to call "group fly" and "group teleport".
Now all the players who like those powers have been denied their fun.
Who knows, maybe they will one day turn off the griefing tool that is KB.
KBed followed up by another KB power enemy is dead. :O
Or do those non KB powers one shot enemies all the time? -
Quote:He has the Brute option, so doesnt have to waitBill, if you want a SR with a taunt aura all you have to do is trade...um... around 40% damage for it.
By rolling a SR Tanker when they arrive.
'Cause you know, Tankers have been trading damage for aggro capability since forever.
A fair and worthwhile trade, yes I know.

Quote:It's not a self nerf, when one wants aggro capabilities, but their set lacks it.It is a self nerf to throw out another desired power as well as taking a place in an attack chain.
SR started out not having an aggro aura. /SR didn't have one untill it was given to Brutes. It made it this long without one, so having to pickup Provoke on a Scrapper is not a self nerf, it's a power choice. -
Quote:Only Brutes would get the Hibernate tier 9!Apparently even Brute wants Ice Melee/Armor. So by the time they are ready to give Villains Ice Melee, it will be a "cash item". Oh well... I am sure I'll buy it if Ice Melee is modified well for Stalker.
Personally, I like Hibernate, but I can see some complaining. -
Quote:Don't forget the Performance Shifter: +END ProcHAHA. Theft of essence chance for +end in dark reg, a numina's +/+ and the miracle + in health. All are easily gotten with merits. The rest is just using inspirations. Dark is an amazing set, but it is not turn on your toggles and go WP.
Your doing it wrong.

Quote:For my SG? Yes. Note they don't all do what I just said. But then a lot of them don't care about having the uber builds anyways. Also a RPSG.Are you seeing those same players every day? I consider myself to be an average player, and I'm lucky if I get on for more than 10-12 hours a week.
But let's see, I have one SG member who managed to pull off building Werner's Katana/Dark Armor build, sans the +3 HOs, and only using lvl 50 HOs.
Took a little over a months time. But that was with dedication to wanting to have such a build. I'd say she spent about 2-4 hours a day, skipping some days, to get that build.
Mind you, I was running STFs for her, and she was selling other drops she didn't need to afford the items she did need.
Instead of saving Purple drops one may use later, she sold them for ones she wanted now.
ITFs I've always found to be worthwhile on getting a good chance for a purple drop. And This is a kill all TF that can be completed in 30-60mins.
And yeah, if you don't like running lvl 50 content, or TFs, you're right, it just became harder. But the access to getting these builds is there. -
Quote:What's compkicated about it?I still don't even understand how the queues work. The interface and everything is confusing, and I have no idea what's going on and if I'm joining something or not.
Broadcast is SOOO much simpler.

Click on LFG, click on the trial you want or the ANY option, and click a button. then wait.
Or were you being sarcastic? -

Quote:This.Seems to me like a retread of the Team Seek interface. You see people begging, pleading and even crying for a team. Then you search for their name and they have no search comment and are set to "Not looking for any."
All those people lf trial, arent signing into the queue.
I tried signing into the queue, but after not getting anywhere, I went to RWZ and got in one that was forming.
If people can't use the Team Seek (and I don't blame them...people flag themselves for LF Anything...with nothing in their description for exceptions...then complain when they get blind invited...they said they were looking for ANYTHING), I don't see them using the LFG Queue for trials any better. -
Quote:Yes, defender secondaries all have one thing in common like you mention. But then, not counting Fire Blast, so do all Blaster Primaries.I'm crossing my fingers for a -dam debuff component to Fire Blast for defenders.
Defender secondaries all have one thing in common: They have a secondary effect to apply aside from the damage it deals. Defender secondaries cover pretty much every secondary effect there is, so a -dam effect would round it out (since they don't have a set that does that yet) I suspect that, in a way, that's why they hesitated on giving Fire Blast to defenders for so long.
It would pair well with Thermal as well. Thermal buffs allies resistance, while the Fire debuffs enemies' damage.
I doubt it will happen, but I can hope.
I don't expect to see Fire Blast getting a -DMG component. It's secondary effect has always been it's DoT for more damage.
And giving Defenders the -DMG component would have the others clamoring for it.
