Was thinking of restarting my fire/TA. He has a respec or two so I should be ok. He generally was OK (got him to 26ish), but relied on support for a heal and end management. I know TA is end light, but I still found no stamina slightly stilting.
I'd probably take aid self on him if I start playing again. -

Does SR have repel resistance?
Just wondering how TK from mind/ would fair? Also, I seem to remember something about Dominate being classed as an untyped damage attack, thus causing problems for defence based sets.
Not that my mind/kin could beat an /SR - I'm not a great PvP player myself. Just thought that the above might provide some protection, and a judiciously timed Geas could be enough to get the kill.
Just a thought - I could be talking nonsense.
EDIT: Tis late, I'm dumb. Guess the scrapper would just use BF's to ride out the Geas period and could afford to pop 4 to break the TK if they were on a small arena map.

They're gonna be mighty annoyed in the US when you reduce their sig lengths to 200, I reckon.

I have read all the other posts at some point, but have had a couple of beers tonight so forgive my vagaries.
I champion mind/kin as an exceptional team build as I never find it to be without a solution. This probably holds moreso if one holds back, but I have always played aggressively as is the kins wont.
I am not the best at team buffage, but the oppurtunity is there. I use mass hypnosis on every mob I fight and it seems to work. The TP fulcrum shift is something you can be waiting for the tank to get there for.
When I am on the ball, kin is such a satisfying secondary to have - but it needs concentration. Mind is my favourite primary by a mile (that I have played) - but ice is close (I prefer ignoring ice slick and seeing what slows I can stack). This has probably come out as gobbledegook, I'll leave now,

Hmmm, trying to think which scrapper primary could be mistaken for EM? Given the banter, I'm assuming it was one with no ranged attack.

Just go in and have a go.
My toons that I PvP with (Brain and Melon) are not ideal for PvP and are not specced into optimal builds at all (Melon is almost a do badly movement wise-build) . However, I have a lot of fun in the zones and through the process of many beatings have learnt a fair bit. I still get my butt handed to me, but I also know that I can be a small thorn in the enemies side.
I don't know what AT you are but I echo my original statement, "give it a try". I really enjoy it - it stops the RSI recovering. -
Hmmm, maybe I'll actually do my respecs and pop along. I enjoyed having a go when the test server nights were going.
Also, I know Jum would like a pet kin, hehe. -

I may mention that the ranges are part of a mismatch of ideas I have. I think there is an imbalance in this between PvP solo and PvP team. I welcome any feedback.

Hey all. I'm just posting on behalf of a mate.
He has a level 35 SS/Inv brute with all the Inv powers so far and was planning to take tough then weave.
I had heard that weave wasn't that great but have no experience myself with it - he primarily wants to get it to give him some Psi defence (or resistance maybe?), is it worth it?
Should he just take tough and another primary power?

If I may i'd like to mention the mind/ part of your build. It's my first time posting suggestions, so go easy on me.
Generally, I'd say the AoE'a need 2 acc enhans. From playing and from figures, I wouldn't wanna play without. Also, sleep duration enhancements, n the right team they are worth it but I find the normal duration enough for what I need - be it seetting up containment or merely occupying a mob.
Levitate - I have personally gone for damage with this - I find it useful to have an attack. I do find that it hits less often than I might want, maybe I'll go 2 acc if I have the slots.
Dominate - not my slotting, but in terms of the rest of the build it sits well.
TK - that's what I'm missing, recharges.
Terrify - I feel you can eithyer go hold or hurt on this. I'm a cause pain man as the fear effect seems to last long enough for me. I either use it with TD or mass hyp or as a pseudo hold with MC.

I might have not noticed you announcing your home, but if you're on union give me a shout @Braindead. I'm not a veteran like some of these guys, but I joined at a time when I got a pair of free respecs. As such I've tried most fire/fire powers and still play the character.
I've tried most powers and even the ones that are slated have their uses, in my opinion.

I only want to echo the shouts of the other people who are on this thread. I'm (touch wood) sorting myself out after a bout of the downs - it's not easy but the step you've made is a big one mate. Probaly a noobish question, but how viable is an end draining team? That is an elec/elec blaster, kin/elec defender and /kin troller.
I have a level 40ish /kin controller and wonder if as a team the end drain might be substantial enough to be viable
Just a thought - haven't watched enough of the international matches to make a decision myself. -
Well, after having my bubble burst by Jum I can only roll with the punch and counter. How about I present you with a grav/storm controller (Gomorrah's Bane).
If as a team we need a bit more buffage, I'd be happy to drop into an earth/emp, but we'll see. Anyway, there's my offer.
