hi guys, is hot feet worth getting for a fire ta troller who isnt planning on PvP, just PvE? what other powers are worth getting and not getting?

Well...kinda a tricky one.

Hotfeet is an awesome power and deals good damage...sadly it uses an enormous amount of endurance so basically only viable for a /kin or partly an /emp or /rad.

Would've loved to have it on my fire/ta but seeing I wont get any recovery in my fire/ta duo I skipped it.

All powers in fire are good. Skippable would be smoke, bonfire and to a lesser extent hotfeet. Depends on playstyle and team setup. Rest are basically all must haves.

Can't comment too much on the /ta side yet as I've only gotten to lvl 22 on mine so don't know enough yet.

Hot feat could save you time if you wanted to ignite your oil slick without waiting for a power to animate.

If Hot Feet takes slow IO sets it could benefit from the -recharge proc in Pacing of the Turtle (when the fix the aoe bug).


I really should do something about this signature.

I skipped it on mine as I prefered staying at range. Plus I went without Stamina so couldn't really run it all the time.

Don't skip Smoke - combined with Flash Arrow you become invisible to mobs. Great for stealthing mish or fighting two very close together groups.

Im not sure about skipping smoke. Smoke would stack with Flash Arrow for an extremely nice -perception.

Aside from the utility in terms of pulling made very easy, this allows you to ghost missions easily.

Wheras clicking on a glowy causes stealth suppression, it doesnt cause -perception supression. Hence, no probs.

Idle speculation, but ghosting may be popular in issue 9... it allows prompt completion of mission, which means promptly getting the mission salvage drop (or at least the chance of one).

I'd certainly take Hotfeet on a Fire/TA. You should be fine End-wise, I took Hotfeet on my Fire/Rad at level 8 and managed it fairly handly. And thats with RI and other toggles running too. TA is very light on End so you should be fine as long as you don't spam Fire cages.

The only drawback is that TA doesn't give you the safety that Rad gave me, so surviving the Hotfeet aggro might be tough. May be worth splurging on the Medicine pool for imp and self-heals.

Smoke is ok, I only use it for Imp Wrangling. don't think you need Smoke & Flash, smoke alone lets me ghost fairly easily, although I don't do it too much, too boring. But I used it to get through tough areas (like the end of the Numina trial).

I'd skip Bonfire and one of the immobs in Fire, either single or the aoe. The one thing you certainly need and should slot asap is Flashfire at 12.

Personally in TA I've skipped Flash & Poison arrow. The rest are basically must haves. Haste is great for stacking Glue & Disruption arrow as well as quick Oil slick & EMP recharge.

hotfeets fine on a fire/ta as ta is a pretty end light set, I have it on mine

Was thinking of restarting my fire/TA. He has a respec or two so I should be ok. He generally was OK (got him to 26ish), but relied on support for a heal and end management. I know TA is end light, but I still found no stamina slightly stilting.

I'd probably take aid self on him if I start playing again.

I took fitness, even with the End lightness of TA you still need it or you're being careful too much. I found you don't need to slot it ASAP though which was handy, it let me slot Acid Arrow and my level 26 power (wormhole for me which was really handy). I reckon theres an inventions build which could skip Fitness altogether with the right inventions slotted.

I've just respecced in the Medicine pool too which is quite handy, especially when soloing. Even more useful to a Fire than a Grav for pet healing.

Hot feet is splendid, turn it on, then flash arrow + glue arrow + disruption arrow, send in fire imps, spam your holds, then go in the middle. Use greens if needed.
Oh, and...almost forgot: watch them numbers fly!!!

And if you die, keep in mind - Fire/TA is not for feeling tidy, you are chaos, man!
