Masterminds. More and more Masterminds. So many Masterminds, in fact, that we'll crash the entire server list for an hour. That is my dream event.

Chainsaw powerset.
Then four years later have a Dual Wield Chainsaws powerset introduced. -
Optional; nice, but not necessary.

Debasement of moral values and degeneration of the upright mind through self-conflict and a dastardly turn of unfortunate events. Basically develop a backstory that has her going from rogue to villainess, and then back to hero through some form of self-redemption.

Alas, my support! How thine two edges pierce my soul. From what should I derive this unfortunate twist of fate? Tis happiness I feel, yet sorrow in my heart.
Sorry, I was feeling poetic. That aside I have a real question to ask him: has the marketing department ever considered advertisement in the media outside of any web-based means? Such as television is what I am getting at. Perhaps some form of commercial on a less-than-gratifying time slot?
Just curious. -
I feel that the Asian gaming market "should", at least in my opinion, be more strongly reached. I also feel as though the game itself could use a bit more advertisement in general, but go figure. I'm not a marketing exec. and I'm not that savy with economics, but I would surmise that reaching our Eastern friends (including the EU of course) would be great for profits and for other Asianic players all ready enjoying the game.
My 7 and a half cents. -

Found anotbher link too. Nothing to jump for joy over but it shows they might be considering a counter blow to DCUO AND SWTOR once thier opening dust settles.
-C.A.
DCUO is doomed to fail. Did you even consider who is behind it? SOE has lost all respect as a company in my opinion.
That aside, this whole "CoH2" business appears to have an official state about it. However, I will not cross my fingers on a release date anytime soon (at least not in the next year and a half). Ultra Mode +Going Rogue are huge content updates that I strongly believe will last at least a year and a half, maybe two.
I just hope they don't go cel-shaded with CoH2. That would make me a sad, pantsless panda. -
Do you have a precariously curly mustache that you enjoy stroking periodically...?
-
My take on it: It's useful but not "required". What you feel is necessary is what you feel is necessary. A battle of opinions won't have a winning side over the case of taunt.
As previously stated, bots have a pretty low threat level to Avs, and any form of attack that smacks the slugger in the face will pretty much have their steroid-incuded rage directed directly (redundant much?) at you rather than the innocent bystandard pets.
Generally AVs and hefty-leveled mobs are the few cases where you actually want some form of taunt, be it in attacks or in the power itself. -

If Demons will be primarily melee, then Demons/Pain is what I'm rolling. Ninjas/Pain was surprisingly durable and powerful, but throw in some exotic damage and kick-*** pet models and you've got yourself a deal.
Runner-up would be Demons/Traps. If only for the inside joke. -
Quote:On top of the pets taking up space, there's also a mentality of many Masterminds that buffs are for pets only. Sometimes when I add a Mastermind to a team what I see is teammates getting slaughtered while the MM is busily healing his zombies. It's one thing to concentrate on your pets while the team is doing ok, but really poor style when the team is about to wipe. I suspect a lot of Masterminds don't even look at the team window to see how things are going, based on the number of times I've been killed.
That said, not everything about Masterminds is bad. Having those extra bodies around as potential aggro targets does make my squishies feel safer.
As a Mastermind it is my utmost duty to protect my pets in the case of when resummoning is down. Should the need arise I will abandon and flee to leave the squishy temmate(s) in question to die. However, I do put players above pets when it doesn't put me in a potential suicide spot because I'd have to ignore the pets.
Hell, half the time I just facepalm when I buff my pets because I realize that the first three buggers are basically cannon fodder. Players are definitely the priority in most situations. You have to remember, though, that with each Mastermind the defense of the teammate(s) in question becomes a matter of what is in their arsenal to begin with.
You know what, I'm at the point of rambling. Long story short: teammates have different priority levels to different Masterminds. -
My Necro/Dark has successfully downed Pylons before (not with extreme ease, though).
Thugs/Dark
Bots/Dark
Necro/Dark
Thugs/Traps
Bots/Traps
Thugs/Thermal
Thugs/Pain
Bots/Pain
Necro/Pain
Ninjas/Dark
Just a few of my suggestions. -
Thugs/Pain melts basically anything it comes into contact with with barely any threat to you or your pets. Once you IO out the build you'll be a nigh-unstoppable monster of AoE and ST destruction that is increasingly powerful solo and an extremely useful member of a team.

Q.F.T
Plus I understand with the AE mission. Masterminds tend to move slow because of the pets themselves. No, not damage, but movement. The time it takes the pets to arrive to the next mob is usually much greater than it takes to actually have half of it all ready dead. Usually in the case of AE missions without Archvillains or Heroes people will want fast-moving ATs.
Outside of AE farm missions and speed runs, you'll find many places a Mastermind will be comfortably welcomed. Speed, in this case, is not the Mastermind's specialty. -
I would be down for a villains channel. Mainly because everything I've got on Infinity is a villain.
-
FINALLY.
No, but seriously, I'm down for anything you post up. ANYTHING. -
Good to see you back. My global is @Bookkeeper Jay and I'm always down with helping out a returning player (or any player for that matter).
-
Maybe if we send them more weed they'll fix things...eventually.
Excuse me while I put my pants on my head.
