Just for giggles: What would you like to see in CoH2 ?

Of course, it may or may not happen and the chances are they just were securing the naming rights incase they wanted another product with the City of Heroes brand name...

But, if it were a reality, what features would you like to see make it to CoH2? For me:

City Vault

More open world content mixed in with the standard instanced missions

Importing your CoH1 characters into your account

100% of the Hero, Villain, and Rogue content to be played out in the same environment rather than separated totally between faction specific zones/worlds

Badges as well as alternative collectable items

10+ player teams

and PvP Task Forces :P

Typical hero missions like "Save The Out Of Control Train"...Not only villain bashing, but also keeping the populace safe.

-Map tile sets with floor plans that make sense

-World Wide Zones with cities in England, Japan, Mexico, Egypt, Russia, etc. etc.

-AT exclusive pools that can help shrink the gaps between ATs just a little

-alternative power selections. (Like say instead of Golden Dragon Fly, I'd like Shockwave with a Katana swing)

-Vehicles and more temp powers

-Big Daddy and Big Sister EATs and Rapture! (just kidding)

Some of the stuff that was already mentioned, plus

dynamic environment wherever possible,
a borderless world (no war walls, no height cap),
underwater action,
player vehicles (sports cars, jets, sub),
player housing (could be a nice money sink, too),
one currency (and not influence, infamy, prestige, brainstorms, tickets, merits and whatnot),
more of the good stuff we already have.

You can't make a borderless game. It would essentially require you to build places for infinity.

I would like to be able to fly over every building in the game, and not have the garish war walls illuminated like a Christmas tree, however.

We definitely need underwater zones and vehicles, however. We 'sort of' have houses in the way of bases, but not really.

The biggie for me in any CoH2 would be to make sure that there are equivalents to all the ATs (especially the epic ATs) and power sets in it so that I could re-create my favorite existing characters in the new setting. Not being able to re-create my Peacebringer would be a deal-breaker for me.

Beyond that? A more dynamic environment with destructable elements and an improved enemy AI so we can have villains that aren't just bags of hit points to make them tough.

I'd also like to see them add some more unique villains (like those you must defeat in the bank missions) to face off with and perhaps run into while not on a mission. That we only see unique super-criminals in bank missions and at the conclusion of various story arcs feels far less comic-booky. Let them be rampaging down the street or crouching on a rooftop waiting to strike or actually show up in random radio missions.

Perhaps some REAL zone invasions? Rather then having the sky turn a different colour every time something bad is going to happen and the players being the main spawn points for the invaders, maybe we could have things like Arachnos fliers landing in the zone, deploying troops, having the troops on the ground fight off against some Longbow soldiers that spawn when this happens perhaps? And have the Fliers face off in the sky against a large wave of Chasers? I dunno, just something to make it FEEL like an invasion as opposed to one that feels more dead then Ghost Widow.

Also, new factions, new baddies, new areas, new missions and arcs, and a full-sized Rularuu the Ravager!

Well, doing the first one is a big part of making the second one happen

But a few natural disaster events would be very cool too

One of the things I really liked about the PVP zones is how there were open riots between Arachnos and Longbow. Unfortunately joining in on them usually resulted in a nice AS to your back, but it's something I would like to see in the PVE world.

They could possibly make them in PvE zones be similar to the banner event - Arachnos troops would attack targets in the zone guarded by Longbow, and Heroes would have to help defend them.

Not all us dark brooding types are baddies! >.> Thought I do go red I also play blue! Weather effects would be nice.

I would like to see what might be termed "The Galactus Event" - where a world breaking threat appears - probably with some precursor missions - and the inhabitants of the game on all sides have to come together to literally save the world

obviously it would have to like not kill the game in one move but something that actually makes the community feel threatened with a penalty for failure - for example taking the zone/area in which the event occurs off line for an amount of time or some other, similar effect.

I'd also like to see a serverless environment

On second thought, maybe not too much rain, or we'll be seeing many wet t-shirt contests in Atlas lagging up the area.
