  1. Gratz ofcourse! He's not the first though i'm afraid...
  2. Agree with OVohms. Fluffy deserves some accu slotted.
I slot it 1 ac/3 accu debuff using normal SO's/IO's. The heals are additional. I found much better use for those slots in other powers then inject fluffy with some extra heal.

The 3 accu debuff are essential though, because that debuffing is her excellence. And due to her excellent debuff aura she can tank quite well -and virtually flooring all accu combined with DN.
Just use her smartly and cast (or TP) her in the middle of the mobs instead of letting her hang back. She's much more useful that way.
  3. Not bad thinking, but still having only a to hit based enemy centered heal is hard survival with all the fast moving targets in PvP

And yes a fire/cold would make nice play. Will make one when I stop refusing to succumb to a second account
  4. Big gratz to you both from Sky!

Ive found tornado to be a really reliable stun, for me almost every minion it touches gets disorientated, but it never stuns bosses when combined with thunderclap.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Hence it's unrelaibale :P

And spider, the end return is very small and inconsequent. All little helps ofcourse, but slots are better spent in other ways imo.
  6. Thunderclap + either TF or tornado already stuns bosses. although tornado has less reliable stun.
  7. I'm a capoersista- well i uesed to be. Don't play a storm def but got earth/storm at 50 and a fire/storm at 39 atm. more and more i'm convinced of storms greatness. Takes a while to get to use the storm set right. immobs (with-kb)helps a lot- either from you or other trollers.
    Just gotta say. It rocks!!!

I'm only a few blips away from lvl49 on my Fire/Fire/Mu and i'm trying to decide on what power to take, the choices are:
    [u]Fire Control:[u][*]Ring of Fire[*]Smoke[*]Hot Feet[*]Bonfire

    [u]Fiery Assault[u][*]Fire Blast[*]Combustion[*]Consume[*]Blazing Bolt

    [u]Power Pools[u][*]Flurry and Superspeed[*]Hurdle[*]Jump Kick[*]Provoke[*]Ball Lightning

Pretty much ruling out anything from the power pools and don't really need Consume because of Power Sink.

The problem is i need something thats pretty decent straight out the box, as when i reach lvl50 2 of the 3 slots are already spoken for...so can only spare one.

    What do you people suggest?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Very surprised some of the powers you mention aren't in your build already, but seeing it's the last powerpick i'd say bonfire or ss is nice as is smoke. None of those need any additional slots, so you can 6 slot your Mu Guardian you have taken i suppose.
RoF is nice too to keep pesky mobs out of range to deal with at a more convenient time and drop flyers as well as to immob EB's/AV's quite easily. This power only needs a second accu.

Imps FTW! But indeed only solo or in small teams. Big teams makes them perish very fast.
  9. EM pulse totally rocks!! Beats any troller primary AoE hold hands down all the time. Mind the recov drop which can be annoying, but managed quite easily with 1 or 2 blues.
    Just take it...

And about ISC, take it if you can. Tis a great power, and the animation is really cool. Also your main AoE damage.

*has flashbacks of Blue's high level doms faceplanting... repeatedly... due to some reckless mega-aggroing... to the joy of my Vengeance thirsty thugs*

But point well taken, I still have a hard time thinking of doms as AoE damage dealers. Control? Yes. Damage? We'll see

    [/ QUOTE ]

You cheeck! Stop spreading lies nimmer n00b!

And damage? Oh yessss!!!! Can't compeat with those annoying chicken, easy to play, fun taking away uber damage kings MM's are ofcourse, but can be good rivals to any brute or corr damage wise.
  11. Too right Okt. Mu mastery is a great set- the only one really . And the pet is quite nice as pseudo healbot.
And about ISC, take it if you can. Tis a great power, and the animation is really cool. Also your main AoE damage.

..I could be wrong but after testing im impressed with the results.

    Results:
Can stand toe to toe with Monster in PI and withstand the damage indefinitely. might not be a big thing to you was great to me.

Can withstand a full fury attack from a EM brute only hurting 15% from a ET attack. without DP.

Used Spirit's excellent guide so far but it has no i9 info. Anyone care to show me the light?
Looking for a good mass kill farming build, from 20 upwards. (As in I'm PLing it to 20)

    Flash Arrow?

    [ QUOTE ]

As for natural builds, Fleur is 100% natural, and proof that you can get all the way to Hero of the City with no travel power. She has Hurdle, 3-slotted with Jump SOs, and Sprint, 4-slotted with three Run SOs and one Jump. 3-slotted Hurdle is about the same speed as unenhanced Fly, and she can jump over the height of lampposts (blame it on extensive gym work and vitamins!) The 30 second jetpack device takes care of any awkward cliffs and walls, and she can even get around in Terra Volta with a bit of forward planning!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Lol, talking about "bunging up slots".
Fleur, you used 5 extra slots on hurdle/sprint and you got at least 1 or 2 more powers which need slots then when taking normal travel (which dont need extra slots really)...
Not even to mention that SS is only one power pick away from hasten.

And both flasharrow as well as entang arrow are very low on slots. Flasharrow doesn't have any need for any additional slots at all and entang arrow is good to go with just 2 accu (meaning one extra accu slot) or even just stick to the base slot with 1 accu.
    Take both!

But PvP wise its absolutely great!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Very nice for interupting aid self

    [/ QUOTE ]

Aye, one of the good aspects. To stack more slow and the big -recharge being the others
  16. OMG, i didnt even notice snowstorm was lacking! It's a lovely power, but not vital. I'd not leave it out, but fair arguments can be made not to take it. But PvP wise its absolutely great!
  17. Build looks improved now Echo.

A few things i'd like to add:

I agree with Chin. It's really worth moving frostwork earlier on (and try squeeze in a 3rd heal). It's an excellent buff, that would add a lot to team play, both PvE as well as PvP.

Can drop the 3rd accu in infrig

Icestorm, sleet, heat loss: 3 rech pls

Arctic fog has a low def value, so the def enhance are a waste of slots imo. It fares better with res enhance (useful against most common PvP types: ice/fire/nrg) or use the slots elsewhere.

Think about taking web envelope from mace. Having an AoE immob is very sweet to have. Keeps the mobs inside your LBAoE's, especially considering Icestorm has a 'scatter' effect which makes the mobs trying to run out of it (slowly though ). And in PvP you really want it for the -fly and -jump on top of web cocoon.

Personally i'd drop BIB and take freeze ray. Freeze ray is a much better hold (2 accu/2hold/1 or 2 rechg) and I advice to take it asap as it's a life saver and move glacial shield to the back, if taking it that all. Personally i'd rather pick ss (remember in PvE it stacks to invis wit SS?) or the earlier mentioned web envelope.

And last but bot least: blizzard doesn't need accu really. Maybe put in one if you want, but you can make well do without any as it has enhanced base accu out of the box being a nuke and you'll be slapping it over the sleet anyway. Just pop a yellow when using TEH BLIZ.

Enjoy it mate. It's a very adorable combo to play.

P.S Ohgodtherats, blizzard is a tier 9 primary power, so it's not available before lvl 32
  18. Ice/cold is very nice to play.

I see you tried to make it quite a PvP build with assault+tactics early on and the slotting focussed on -def and the slows in icestorm.

<ul type="square">[*]For PvE leadership is unneccesary especially because of infrigidate (-def) and sleet post 35 (-def and -resis) and not even considering when slotted with IO sets which can be boosting accu significantly. Ice/cold is a really endheavy build and I doubt you have the stamina to run the toggles- also seeing that you haven't slotted for end redux at all...
[*]Ice storm is very late at 44. It's great in itself and works a superb treat in combo with sleet (and blizzard). I'd get it earlier in favour of the leadership powers taking those not before lvl 40+ for RV (if needed at all) or maybe at WB lvl if you really want it. Stick to the slows for PvP, but for PvE put in 3 dam instead.
[*]TP foe ....hmmm not seeing it being very useful, you should be slowing them so much they are going nowhere really and then there's mace mastery...
[*]Arctig fog is really nice. Try it, you'll like it.
[*]Try getting hasten in your build; you got quite a few slow recharging powers like epic powers /icestorm/ sleet/ benumb/ heat loss/ blizzard and also for infrigidate to slap it easier on multiple targets (in PvP) too. Hell it's good for everything! Then you are only one powerpick away from SS which is great as second travel in PvP. (and in PvE it stacks to invis in combination with arctic fog)[/list]

As far as slotting goes the (3) def debuffs in sleet are pretty redundant as the debuff is great out of the box and you got infrig to top it of. Slows would be better for locking them in place -and not even this is needed really for PvE.

Heat loss defo wants at least 1 end mod (2 even better) for PvE and for PvP you don't wanna go without less then 2 of those.
Benumb wants rechr (3 pref) as it's got a long recharge.

I'd really recommend using mid's herobuilder and think up some nice IO sets slotting.
Would defo improve things a lot

Isle of Wight Festival Woohoo!!! Jimmy where are you??
  20. Cheers for replies folks.
So it seems the agreement here on fallout confirms the rumours it being bad. Still on paper it looks bloody neat.
Funny how reality and theory can be so contradictory.

I'm still tempted to take up Fallout tbh, despite all the agreement on it being the sucks. My stubborn nature just can't accept the that while it looks awesome on paper in reality it's gimpy.

    More opinions please!

BTW EMP really is the greatest AoE hold in the game -or volcanic gasses. Hmmmm ... but let's stay on the subject

Well anything that is bright, flashy and burns is fine by me.

Incidently can anyone tell me how to get Web grenades to work against bosses, or is it completely hit and miss whether they work or not?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Web Grenades, like most, if not all single target immobilise powers are mag 3. To get a boss in one shot you need a Mag 4 Immob.

So generally, you either need to be a controller who gets a critical control on their immob, or you need to be a Dominator with Domination up.

    ...

    [/ QUOTE ]

All troller/domi primary ST immobilizes are standard mag 4. No need for domination nor a crit. Bosses are immobed in one hit. Always. them big bad wolfies have high mag immob resistance indeed and need 2 applications. (with domi up just one
  22. I'm thinking of maybe respeccing fallout in on my dark/rad corrupter. I know there's a lot of bad talk about it and from my own short experience with it on my troller i found it dissappointing indeed... but at the time it had no extra slotting as i only wanted a quick look at the power for fun and respecced it out asap.

On paper it looks very nice -apart from the need for a dead ally. Damage like a proper nuke and the obvious awesome debuffs.
On my little adventure with it (1 slot of accu) i found the radius pretty poor and the dam very dissappointing.

Theres (almost) no one around actually having this power...
So i wonder if anyone can share some thorough opinions about it on here?
  23. Now thats cynism for ya. Gotta say that pragmatically it looks dim indeed, but i think this problem has been reported multiple times, by mutiple ppl and they sadly don't seem to have the sense to fix it indeed.

But don't blame the americans for everything really.

All in all they should do something about the TA set to let it's proper potential excel indeed!!
