It's not the ONLY thing but it's something that's been on my mind lately.
It appears to me that most of the spirits that we see in the Circle of Thorns would have to be what they'd look like when they aren't in a stolen body (I think this is backed up by what we see in Dark Astoria).
But what about the various demons we see in the Circle? The Behemoths, Overlords, Masters, and the Succubi? Are they transformed COT? COTS possessing the bodies of demons? Or are the demons there to make sure that THIS time the COT carry out their promise to the Prince of Hell? -
So there's something kinda spoilery involved in what I want to say ....
Spoilers to follow ....
Um, anyone else suddenly very afraid that the Power of Zeus may have found a most unlikely new host ... >.> -
So at first I found myself thinking about what sort of Epic ATs could be set up for certain Enemy Factions in the game (Rikti, COT, Malta, etc) and then I found myself thinking that what I'd REALLY like to see would be Fraction Specific Storylines that go from 1-50 in a fashion similar to the Kheldian or Arachnos storylines.
Ideally, these stories would reveal the backstory of the individual fractions. (Granted, most of the information we need would already be in the Game, but this would be a way to centralize some of the more obscure information as well as give the Devs a chance to add some personality to some of the more notable NPCs we fight in the game.)
While I do like the idea of more Epic ATs, I'm looking more for characterization and Lore rather than powersets here.
For example, maybe you start out as an undercover Malta Agent assigned to "hero" or "villain" duty. Along the way you're given the option of (covertly) betraying Malta either for self advancement or to serve the greater good.
Maybe you're a Mage from the Circle of Thorns who's just gotten his first new body in ages and have the option of serving Baron Zoria or working with Akarist to try to redeem the legacy of your people.
Maybe you're a Rikti Agent assigned by Hro'Dtohz to gain intel about the human super powered community. Slowly, you discover the true cause of the Human-Rikti War and must decide where you stand ...
Characters could take whatever existing AT or Powerset that already exists in the game. Perhaps there's a Faction Power Pool or Faction Specific TF that finishes the storyline.
As a spy or undercover agent, the character could still have the option of doing existing content like any other hero or villain, but he'd also have a separate set of contacts that furthered his story as a member of his faction.
What Enemy Group would you like to have a character be a part of? -
Oddly enough, I think the Hellions and Skulls are also multi-racial groups ...

I liked it. I give it a strong B+.
The quips from Spidey is what sold me on the actor. Toby just wasn't able to pull that off. -
My main server is Triumph, and in general I haven't seen very many Itrials run during my normal hours of play. (The Magi Trials have picked that up a bit.)
I'd be VERY happy if we could have cross server teaming ... not just for Trials, but so that my friends and I could play whatever toons we wanted together.
That being said, I'd be satisfied with a Cross-Server for Trial only option option. Perhaps with the global name added to the character name for that event. -
The first time I did it we tried to finish it because almost no one had done it and we wanted to see what it was like. We failed at the end. The next few times the only thing running it was a farm and I ran those. When I was at 92% another team wanted to do the whole thing and we managed to pull it off and win.
It was fun. I enjoyed the trial-- and I HATE trials before I have my level shift to 50 + 3.
But, yeah. Having only one way to win the thing and making the reward front-loaded guarantees farming it.
And NOTHING is going to be so much fun that I want to do it four or five times in a row to get the reward I WANT.
Especially on servers where you don't have a large crowd of people running the trials. -
I counted today in my Inherent column on a particular toon today and between purchased powers, veteran powers, and what have you, I had 29 items in it. That made finding a particular item a bit difficult.
So my suggestion is create a new column where the things we purchase from the Market can be found by themselves. Maybe a Paragon Rewards Column as well. -
I found the one in Steel Canyon for the Graham guy ... lierally stumbled over it.
Are there others?
And can we flashback to them? The Graham one was quite fun and has a nice temp power reward. -
Quote:Batman beat a Superman who was recovering from a tactical nuke who didn't really WANT to win.Nor would I assume she would succeed but as she is an assassin I would presume she is good at making sure she can catch a target unawares
In a hand to hand fight it would come down to Widow's greater experience and training vs the Slayer.
David beat Goliath
Batman defeated Superman (albeit Batman had YEARS to prep in case they ever fought)
Luke blew up the Death Star
Anakin blew up the Droid Army Control Station in Ep 1
Wedge+Lando blew up Death Star 2
Skill, training, and yes even luck (or the Force) can trump power. Granted that doesn't always happen of course.
If Superman had wanted to win, he could have snatched Batman at super speed and there would have been nothing Batman could have done about it. (And for crying out loud, Batman's suit was PLUGGED into a lamp socket! Bizarro should have been able to figure that one out!) -
I tend to go magic these days just because its the first origin available in RWZ or at Ghost Falcon.
Mutant for simplicity's sake as the SO tells me what they are. -

Quote:As much as he might like to think so, CK isn't Penny's boyfriend.Really? if that is her dad darn he must have aged terribly, and No I was not that guy but someone has to explain to her the mechanics of how a relationship between a young lady and a Giant Psychic Brain in a jar is going to work.
That had to have been an interesting conversation between her and her father.
He's her patsy. The guy she goes to for help and training. The guy she'll mind-call at 3 in the morning to cry about how that hot-- and newly single-- Manticore is being mean to her and not paying attention to her ...
And CK will badly wish he had a mouth so he could get drunk. -
My team and I had just summoned and defeated Adamastor in Sharkhead and were planning our next move.

Swapped out to a new toon and found the sliding bar that showed me the rest of my beacons. I didn't see it on the other toon that's on a different account.
-
I got the old Dark Astoria beacon just before I22 dropped and never installed it. I got the new one today. My SG badge collection shows I have the beacon but neither Echo or Dark Astoria are showing up in my beacon list. Any idea what's wrong?

How does a single zombie manage to overpower a cow?

Before they changed her costume, I thought Black Swan was MUCH more attractive than the hero Swan. That outfit looks much cooler in black than it does with white as it blends in with the skin too much.

Penny can't be the replacement for the Posi Taskforce without rewriting it slightly as the revamped TF indicates that Clockwork King strikes in the Posi TF to protect Penny.
I can see Aurora being the Sister Psyche TF Contact, but who will take over the training position in IP? -
It's been canon that Penny was 18ish since Faultline was established. I was working on a story about the Clockwork King back in 2008 and I asked Hero 1 about her age because the general consensus at the time was that Penny was 12-13ish but that didn't make sense to me given her bio established her running around making deliveries for her father before Faultline ever collapsed ... if she was 12 at the time of the Faultline storyline she would have been making deliveries for her father at 6 and that didn't make sense to me.
Anyway, Hero 1 told me:
Quote:Hey BlueBattler, thanks for the question.
Penelope Yin is 18. She just recently started her first year at PSU, majoring of course in Psychology (surprise) with a minor in Criminology. Even though she is one of the most powerful psychics on the planet, theres no way Mr. Yins daughter is getting out of a college education.
Youre dead on about the Clockwork king wanting to make Ms. Yin her very own Clockwork princess. He however is a little older than her. By now, post 2nd Rikti invasion, hes in his early twenties. Granted, thats a little hard to judge since hes a living brain with eye sockets.
The Clockwork King was always one of my favorite villains. Hes such a tragic character and while that does not excuse his actions, it does make us look at ourselves a little deeper.
I wonder if Penelope sees that tragedy in him, if she holds some sort of soft spot? Is it possible for a person like that to redeem themselves? Normally, no, because there is rarely anything to come back down that dark path to. But is Penelope enough to turn the clock backwards?
Perhaps.
Hope that answered you question. Keep them coming.
Stay True

I have to admit I wondered if it was Vanessa or the Clockwork King that Penny has received her training from.

I have two accounts and I bought 4 packs on each account. I didn't especially want the wolf but I did want a full set of Scrapper or Brute ATIOs.
And I didn't get them.
In fact, I don't think I have gotten more than 3 of any set.
(Did eventually get the wolf on the 4th pack on each account.) -
Most of my villains are more like Silver Age type villains. Guys who don't want to hurt people per se, but are in it for the money ... essentially almost all my villains would be rogue by temperament if not alignment.
Damon McCoy was probably not the nicest guy around to begin with, but when the Countess Crey kidnapped him and experimented on him in hopes of the secret of his semi-identical cousin Simon McCoy's mutation he got a whole lot meaner. He would love nothing better than to beat up the Countess-- and Simon since he would not have been kidnapped if Simon had worn a costume and taken a secret id like a sensible hero. Aside from those two, he has no particular grudge against anyone and is mainly in the villain business to earn a living.
Space Kadet is an alien that comes from a super intelligent society. On her world, she's considered "simple" so she came to Earth where she would be considered super intelligent. She's essentially a "ditzy blonde" with killer robots. She can be sweet and friendly ... but if you cross her, watch out!
Desmond Darke, on the other hand, is as close to pure evil as I got. Admittedly, he's kind of banal evil, but ... He studied sorcery to remedy his poor health and pick up chicks. He got power and improved health, but his luck with the ladies is not so good. When a girl turns him down, he tends to cure them ... having turned one of my other characters into a Dark Melee/Fire Scrapper who can never look at someone else without a mask on without driving them mad with fear and turned a dancer from Saint Martial into a Claws/Super Reflexes Brute.
Spider Blue I describe as being Prince Namor with a sense of humor. Until he met Hardcase he was a typical "The Strong Thrive, the Weak Perish" Rogue Isles kinda guy. After meeting Hardcase, he found himself thinking more along the lines of "The Strong Thrive-- and protect what is theirs"-- and that includes the people of the Rogue Isles. If it weren't for that whole "Overthrowing Recluse will destroy the world" thing he might move to be in charge himself.
I know that a lot of people have complained about not having the opportunity for their villains to be villainous enough, but I'd like to have more opportunities for my Rogues to be more Roguey ... surely there could be some Blueside and Redside Contacts willing to just HIRE someone to look into things for them.
