Considering that people in the industry, particularly at the product development level, are generally involved with more than one line at a time, this doesn't mean anything special. Just means he's doing his job.

Heh, neat idea overall, but we're not gonna see it 'til the BDSM crowd gets Whip Dom/Whip Assault.

Quote:Pretty much this. I'd had a vampyr costume designed for ages, waiting for the day when I could build a mind/dark dom. Archon Barlowe has been a blast to play since i22 dropped.Whenever I've fought a council vamp they have always shot at me with ranged attacks and controls. Seems more like a Dom.
But yes, if you're breaking away from the actual (apparent) AT of the vampyri, then a dark/dark scrapper or brute seems most likely. Kinda getting mixed signals from the OP. Are you more concerned with purity of concept (in which case the mind/dark dom IS the closest option)? Or are you more concerned with game efficiency, with only a superficial resemblance to a "real" vampyr (in which case, anything is fair game)? -
Heh, and the first thing I think on seeing that image? Hellion zorched by drone in 3... 2... 1...

Quote:This is indeed the exact behavior (Unaffected) that resulted from summoning Singularity, turning on Phase Shift, and flying through a group of enemies. Worked normally when the phase wore off.Singularity *should* knock them around with repel. Instead, you'll see a lot of "Unaffected" pop over their heads until PS wears off.
Again, though, this is *phase* shift we're talking about, not *dimension* shift.
Have yet to test it with the WB temp. Will have to sift through all my (several) MMs to see which, if any, still have this power. Edit: Or for that matter, the Spirit Potion craftable temp power. -
Come to think of it, I *do* seem to remember my Singularity adopting my personal phase state. My grav/nrg dom doesn't have Dimension Shift (they waited far too long to make that power useful...
), but he does have Phase Shift. Will have to pop on a bit later and see how that works. Also, my wife's grav/kni troller *does* have Dim Shift, so may be able to do some testing there, if I can correctly grasp what I'm trying to test, here.

Quote:The first enemy with a phase power that comes to mind is Ghost Widow. I've had her phase my MM and still get damaged by my pets, but that wasn't recent; certainly not since i22.Don't know:
- There's at least one enemy I can't think of right this second that phases you. If this affects your pets and controls THERE, it becomes much worse.
I can think of other enemies that *cage* you (trap you in a force field), but I don't know if that's the same effect, mechanically, beyond the "affect self only" part. Those would be Ballistae and Wisp Overlords. -
Quote:If you tell your zombie pets to all crowd on the top of the rotor axle, the sound becomes a lot more tolerable. Works for me, anyway.I've searched the thread and didn't find anything relating to the keywords, but it's possible I missed this anyway. . . how about the helicopter sound. When I'm standing next to Sutter or Statesman waiting for the TF to fill, the sound of that dang helicopter just drives me bananas.

Personally, I'd be happy if they'd fix, and return, some of the maps that USED to be in the MA, such as the unique map "Floating Ziggurat". I'm all for new stuff, but they need to revisit many older maps as well.
As a side note, "bumping" a thread is forbidden in the forums rules/guidelines. Might want to be a little more proactive, research other maps (old and new) you'd like to see in the MA (the /location command is good for this) and post them here, if you want to legitimately sustain this thread. -
-
They could have simply gone with more gender-neutral felines, such as tigers, leopards, puma, etc. But then people would snivel about those not being "pack" (pride) animals.
As ever, there's just no pleasing some people. -
Quote:First off, no. Telling people to either agree with you or not post in the thread is not a dicussion. It's going to attract all the dismissal it deserves. If you can't tolerate the idea of other people having opinions that are counter to your own, don't share yours.I've been a long time game player of COV/COH and yet to see any servers combine with each other. Many servers are slower than others, or not as busy.
I think it's time that some severs are combined with others, to provide a much needed team oriented self severing ehancement to all players.
Combining severs with other noncompetive servers I'm sure will provide a more stuctured and fluent gaming experience to all players, giving them more communication, knowledge, competiveness, challenges and most of all less work flow for the Dev's or any Tech.
This is just an idea so please focus your comments on promoting this idea as oppose to not supporting combining servers.
Second, no. This game is still one of the most solo-friendly MMOs in existence. Many people like this aspect, because it allows them to play on quieter, less populous severs. Have a little respect for the other players, rather than assuming that everyone wants to team, all the time, for everything.
Third, even on "quiet servers", I've never had problems finding teams. Ever. I'd suggest investigating other means of finding team mates, if you're having this issue. For example, the aforementioned server transfers. -
Quote:As a matter of fact, no. While I don't agree that Scrappers require an Extra Special Snowflake Inherent, just so they can feel like Extra Special Snowflakes, the "solo AVs/GMs/+4x8" justification for... pretty much anything... has always been a specious argument at absolute best. Your character, regardless of AT, had to be rigorously tuned to acquire this ability, just like anyone else's.my main scrapper can solo GM's, AV's and run mishes against any enemy group at +4x8...
And/or Incarnate abilities.
People need to pull their heads out and stop using this as an argument for (or against) anything. -

No, it almost certainly does not make all tanks as awesome as Superman.

New Scrapper inherent power: defeated enemies no longer collapse on the ground, they turn into small children and cry uncontrollably.
-
Another small dodge around the crash is to slot the Performance Shifter: Chance for +Endurance proc in Stamina. It doesn't give +Recovery, it just periodically throws Endurance at you, completely ignoring the -Rec of any crash nuke, or god-mode, for that matter.
Pretty sure the Panacea proc works the same way (+Health, +End), but I haven't personally tested it. -
Newer? How about every Stalker backset except Ninjitsu? All the rest appear to be using the Scrapper version. In short, if you want to give an enemy Hide... it has to have Ninjitsu.
Edit - And after a quick double-check, none of the "Stalker" primaries have AS or Placate. So all of THOSE are Scrapper primaries.
I, like so many others, have abandoned the AE as a mere farming tool. And I don't farm... -
Can we get a version of the baby-sitting power that works on chat channels and the forums, too?..
-
I call shenanigans... in bad Spanish, even. Shenaniganos? Summin' like that...
