  1. Definitely looks to be different than in the past, and fun, too.

    Event Test Notice
  2. Interesting, interesting! Looks like it'll be fun.
  3. I was in the open beta of CO for a few hours right at the end, and, like most people here, I think, I wasn't overly impressed. There were a couple things that I thought would be nice if they were brought to CoH, but the main part that turned me off was the art style and that Cryptic tried waay to hard to give it a comic book feel. Definitely not a game I'm interested in following.

On the other hand, one game I *am* going to try is Aion. I hadn't been much interested in the WoW style of contacts and missions, but the way they're handled in Aion is a bit more palatable. Plus, the graphics are amazingly well-done for an MMO. I don't know how long I'll stick with it, but I figure I'll give it the first month and see what happens.

Headstart begins in a couple hours. Whee..!

    5th Column....

    Not anything that I've noticed.

Any chance you could post that build?
  6. I've decided to take the opportunity before I16 to look at my scrapper's build and see about making it better. I'm not planning to PvP or solo AVs, and my original concepts were frankenslotting for enhancement values and +Regen for set bonuses.

    Here's my current build:

The changes that I'm looking at include softcapping the DEFs (though it uses Divine Avalanche to do that) and dropping Elude and Conserve Power in favor of Focused Accuracy and Physical Perfection. I'm ignoring Blessing of the Zephyr because it's a bit salty for my tastes. Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

It's funny that you should ask this question because that info was just recently added to the Wiki badge pages (i.e., this weekend). It eschews a narrative format in favor of a clear and concise list of specific neighborhoods with level ranges, as well as some missions and story arcs that can be used.
  9. And here's a quick reference chart with overall totals and a timeline of when badges were added, if that's of interest to you.

  10. We're actually looking at ways to make larger, high-quality versions of the print-out maps be available on the site. Keep watching the Badge Hunter forums for updates.
  11. Yeah, that was a nice bug. It allowed my level 17 brute to get the Shivan badge without ever stepping foot in Bloody Bay.
  12. NPCs still walk through the walls inside buildings, especially in Portal Corp.

    With the release of i15:

Rikti Drones play the death animation over and over until they do the fadeout. They explode, re-appear, explode and repeat this until the normal dead body fade out. Each explosion leaves the normal amount of debris, so the floor is covered with metal chunks after this behavior . This was on the Ashley McKnight arc, June 29th, Pinnacle (redside obviously).

    [/ QUOTE ]
It's also been doing this with Council Zenith Hoverbots.

Problem: Entangling arrow when fired will sometimes remain in the air spinning if the target is defeated while activating the power. This can be easily replicated if you just activate the power while he has a sliver of health as your pets finish him off. I've also seen this happen to the nem staff, dark powers (such as gloom), and energy primary for blasters (power blast). It usually lasts 5 or so seconds before vanishing, but it should be known that this does not have any direct affects on gameplay.

  16. (QR)

Trying to find the most visible place to post this:

The Swiss Draw events appear to be massively bugged regarding who is picked to move on to the next rounds. We tried it several times tonight with different victory conditions (individual lives, total kills, timed) and the ratings were not being determined in any logical manner.

For example, one tournament had the player rankings after two rounds from 1st to 8th (listing number of kills) as 3-0-0-1-7-7-6-3. This means that the people who got 6-7 kills in their first round are in the bottom four seedings and didn't move on, while people who had zero kills got to continue.

Another tournament that just finished had a final ranking as follows:

    <font class="small">Code:[/color]<hr /><pre>
    SE Points KOs
    2.0 10
    1.5 2
    1.0 1
    1.0 5
    0.5 2
    0.5 4
    0.5 0
    0.0 0
    </pre><hr />
The 2nd place winner after 3 rounds had fewer KOs than two other players, but somehow their SE Points were higher. Exactly how are the SE points (Single Elimination?) determined? That's what seems to be the bigger problem with this since that's what the system sorts by to get the seedings for advancement.
  17. It's been doing the same thing with Council Zenith Hoverbots in that level range, too.
  18. [ QUOTE ]
And even after 4 1/2 years of playing, there are still zones I haven't seen.

    [/ QUOTE ]
So why not just go there?
  19. There's a female model animation bug that's bothered me for a while. Any time the character model returns to the standing pose where your arms are at your side, your shoulders jerk up slightly as the next animation cycle starts (with your head panning left and right). It's as if the two animation sequences aren't set to start/end at exactly the same position. I've never noticed it with the male and huge models, but it's been in-game as long as I can remember (at least four years). You can also see this behavior on the character selection screen.
  20. FWIW, I used a purple Seneschal in a radio mish on my Scrapper to get the last damage badges. The occasional extra DoT on the melee attack helped, and I could recover just before the next swing. Not sure if Carnies show up in paper missions, though.

    Crash bug?!

I've been having this same problem with one of my characters, but it might have only happened for me after I tried bringing up the in-game map while I was in the Midnighter Club. I'm going to see if support can move that character into Cimerora and I'll try to go back out without bringing up the map. Do any of you also have any map overlays installed (like from VidiotMaps) or are you using the standard files?

I heard they finally added the arena badges and an accolade for them. Took them long enough, I wonder bs excuse they have for not releasing like they were supposed to for i4.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Yes, there are at least 16 arena badges this issue, including one accolade:

    Individual PVP badges
    Accolade

There may also be a badge called "Contender" but I haven't found what would earn it. The Accolade is awarded by earning the five Victor badges shown in the first link.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I only see 15 new badges, plus the accolade.

    Justiciar is old.
