  2. I just recently upgraded to Windows 7 from XP and now I'm having issue with my keybinds. Intermittently, when I zone it will reset some of them, mostly the Alt Power Tray slot 5. I had it set to '-' before, now I change it to 'n' and it keeps switching back. The other problem I've had is that the mouse wheel no longer zooms the camera in and out. It scrolls just find in the various in-game windows, but I can' seem to re-bind it. Anyone else have these issues/know a solution? Thanks in advance.
  3. But it didn't explode, they took it off line at their discretion. It probably went something like this:

    1. Cut off access to WW
    2. Back-up all existing transactions
    3. Begin performing whatever dark magic is required to make it work again

I'm sure the back-up contains everything it's supposed to.
  4. Active Defense is your mez protection. It is in fact your superior mez protection because you can have it up all the time. Without seeing your build and/or knowing more about how/why you play, it's hard to say if OWtS is a good pick or if the medicine pool is better than stealth for you. If you've soft-capped or are planning to, OWtS is only needed if you're really pushing the limits, like AV soloing. The big question though is what would you take instead? Maybe you can keep the Medicine pool and just take Hasten instead of OWtS.
  5. I'll hop on too if there's still room. I'll be bringing my 50 WS, Hanasawa-chan.
  6. I'll be bringing my WS, Hanasawa-chan instead of Wolfren. Are we meeting in the Chantry or in PI?
  7. I'll be there with either Wolfren or Hanasawa-chan. Put me on team one please.
  8. Please sign Wolfren up for team 1. Either time works for me.
  9. I don't know if this counts, but for me it's Golden Dragonfly. And it not just that I use it, it's how. Running up to a mob, I jump about a half second before hitting the power. It begins to animate just as I sail over their heads at the height of my jump, then I turn around and come crashing down to earth from about 20ft off the ground. I've been going that since Issue 2 and it never gets old.
  10. How do you get the pet window to display for your fluffy?
  11. Please sign Hanasawa-chan up for team one. Since I missed the first go-round, where should we meet and do you want our globals to coordinate?

  13. Thunderstrike does the same thing, giving 2.5 E/NE, 1.25% ranged at 3 and 2.5% Ranged, 1.25% E/NE at 6. The overall defense is lower than Aegis, but it's the same deal.
  14. Darkstar, thanks for the good ideas. I implemented most of them in my new build. A couple of quick comments:

    1) I actually did have the end mod IO instead of the oblit proc in dwarf mire, but I have two copies of my build, one at work and one at home and I hadn't updated the work one to reflect that.

    2) I actually use Aid Self semi-frequently. Most of the time it's to just top off my health because I forgot to hit stygian when I should have, or when I'm soloing and there aren't enough bodies on the ground to fully fuel the stygian circle. I will re-slot for heal though.

    3) I had never given Quasar much thought because I've been underwhelmed by the 'Nova' type powers. But I always forget that the WS crash is much easier than the Blaster version, and the WS has more tools to deal with it. Now that it's slotted I just might have to start using the Eclipse->Human Mire->Dwarf Mire->Quasar->pop a blue->Stygian Circle tactic.

  15. I'll join in on the fun and post my build as well. Pretty similar to yours kybarsfang. My goal was to have perma-hasten and perma-eclipse without purples. I do now have two of the soulbound allegiance in fluffy, but only because my main happened to have them drop recently. I do use 5 LotG +7.5%'s, but those will slowly make their way in to build as I can afford them. In practice, this toon is all about mauling TF's. Most of my combat time is spent in Nova but I can tank in Dwarf if our tank dies, DC's, ragequits, etc. Human form is for out-of-combat utility. I will second a couple of other people's suggestions that 6 slotted positron's is a waste. Personally I drop the dam/range for a second proc. 6-slotted crushing impact is also overkill, again, I drop something for a proc. I don't like the gaussian's proc in nova, so I went with perf +end. Feel free to comment/critique as you see fit.

You're half correct. The 'boost up' mini power that activates is 10 seconds long. But the effects of said power are +72% dmg for 5.25 seconds followed by nothing for the remaining 4.75 seconds. I was looking at the scrapper version, which is how I got the +100% dmg. Assuming about 95% extra dmg from enhancements, a +72% dmg buff equates to an increase in actual damage of about 37%. So with the correct numbers 1+(5.25/200)*0.37=1.0097, less than a 1% increase in DPS over infinite time. Even worse than before.

As for multiple procs, the math is really pretty simple, if a little tedious. If the the chance that one proc fires is 33% then the chance of it not firing is 67%. The chance of both firing is .33*.33=.1089 or 10.89%. The chance of both not firing is .67*.67=.4489 or 44.89%. Therefore, the breakdown is this: 10.89% of the time, both will fire. 44.89% of the time, neither will fire. 1-.4489-.1089=.4422 or 44.22% of the time, only one of them will fire. .4422+.1089=.5511 or 55.11% of the time AT LEAST one will fire.

Continued for 3 procs. All three fire .33*.33*.33=.0359 or 3.59% of the time all three will fire. None fire .67*.67*.67=.3008 or 30.08% The chance of having AT LEAST one fire is 1-.3008=.6992 or 69.92% And now I'm going to be late to a dentists appointment and I'll continue this later.
  17. I don't have much proc experience on my WS, but on my scrapper they are great. The obliteration proc goes off at least once every time I lotus drop a decent group and the ToD proc is a nice addition to the relatively low damage gambler's cut.

The gaussian's proc is another story. If I didn't like the set bonuses I would drop it, and on my WS build I have. I may have made a mistake somewhere in here, but in a toggle it has a 5% chance of activation every 10 seconds. So it fires roughly once every 200 seconds and lasts for 5.25. During that time it boosts my damage by approx ~45%. So the effect it has on dps over a LONG period of time is 1+(5.25/200)*0.45=1.0118 or a 1.18% increase. And that only goes down as your damage buffs go up. Personally, I'd rather have the chance for +end in there.
  18. Mid's will show you if you're capped to a certain set bonus. Just click the 'Viuew Active Sets' button and anything is red is over the cap.
  19. Wind, for a loss of only 1.3 hp/sec you can boost end recovery by .6 end/sec by swapping the Numina's heal/end in PP for the miracle unique.
  20. You are correct, CJ was toggled off. You have 46.7/46.4/40.7 def with it on. If you drop the common IO in the three autos and put two into super jump, you can 3 slot BotZ there. Then 6 slot slice with Scirocco's and you're soft-capped to all, with minimal changes and 1 slot left over. In general, frankenslotting and positional defenses don't go well together as the big boosts come from the 5th and 6th slots. Also, you look like you're going to have end issues. If you drop tough and weave and try to pick up the def from set bonuses then you might be in a better place. IMHO, YMMV, etc. etc.
  21. You can easily drop the thrid slot in PB and the three autos. Then, use those free slots to 5 slot red fortune in weave, evasion, elude and focused senses, while keeping the specials. That nets you +15% global recharge while allowing you to swap the crushing impact in soaring dragon to a full set of Mako's. Personally I think you're losing a lot of AOE damage by not taking lotus and flashing steel. I've posted my Kat/SR buld below for a comparison. I don't have the miracle or numina's yet, but the build runs fine without them.
