Sin Stalker? The guy from the Base Raiding event?
-
I've played blasters for a long time, but I'm not as articulate in the use of Radiation Blast or even with PvPing much. I threw this build together and I'm not sure how it'll hold up. Any suggestions?

Its that the AoEs have a -Def component and every attack in the set can be slotted with an Achilles Heel -Res proc. That and it's almost entirely energy damage (in comparison to ENERGY BLAST who has a fairly large percent of it's overall damage as SMASHING. If I wanted to do smashing damage at range it should have been called Smash Blast, but I digress). Its a great PvE and PvP powerset, all considering, especially when the Achilles Heel procs start going off.
Even without the Proc, the AoEs all come early in the game (irradiate can be taken at level 2) not counting Neutron Bomb and, although the Recharge was icreased to reflect blaster se tendancies, it's still just a well-performing set. I can't explain it.
Just try one and you'll see what I mean. -
It's better than Explosive Blast in the Energy Primary. So us Energy/Energy Blasters have a new AoE to play with.

*Runs away. kinda*
You'll never take me alive!
...
Wait. -
I'd remember you if you weren't so dang quiet.

Dirt Mall? I'd have to agree on that. :P
Flea Markets make that Indian Bazaar I visited look like a strip mall. -
This is the worst news I've heard all day. Marvel was a company I still had some respect for... after this... I'm caling my cable company and asking them to remove Disney from my accessible channels.

Sorry everyone, I had to gt up early for something and ended up falling asleep. Got up around 8:50 :/. NOTE: Viseur is having computer problems at the moment and couldnt show. Also, be sure to add Swift as a global friend next week, he was online but the 2 of us on his global werent around. Check the Social group board for my pot about the AE mission thingy and/or plan for next week.

Quote:I miss TFs. I had to bring my TF knowledge to Virtue, and I don't think it helped the community's overall brain power much.If there is one thing I learned between Justice and Virtue is that Justice knows how to run Task Forces!!
In fact, the seem dumber than before... -
Hopefully you can have some MoLRSF nights. I have yet to achieve that one. MoITF will be easy as pie too.

Slot the build for around 20%-30% (depending on how you slotted DA) Defense to S/L and Melee and leave it at that. From there focus on some Recharge and some +HP and the build should perform just fine. Use Energize when you've taken some hits. The way I look at it, its use is as a self heal, with the +regen and Endurance Discount there just as a buffer to help keep alive a bit longer after using it. If you COULD get it Perma, I'd say do it, but since you can't I wouldn't go out of my way to decrease the recharge time any more than you would normally.

Please edit so its in phpbb format.
EDIT: Why didn't you take crushing Field? If you only have room for the AoE HOld or the AoE immobilize I'd have to suggest the Immobilize. Wormhole is a wierd power but good, and I dont see any reason not to have the AoE HOld AND The immobilize. You could probably do without charged Brawl, Considering Havok Punch, Thunder Strike, and your ranged attacks should be enough. I'd say it's good for leveling but at around level 22 a respec could open up a bunch of options. -
Not bad. The RP community got hit hard by the AE Generation of players, but we're making a solid recovery, even if it's still a bit cloudy. And I certainly remember you and Bobitron! Gad not so much. Mekk should be in here any momet. Abraxxus has to be around here somewhere... all those Hami Raids. Heck, I came back to Justice on my Blaser because I didn't like the way Virtue does it's hami raids at first! I went back once I grudgingly got over it. >:/

Thugs/Thermal = Next MM Arena/PvP FoTM. It'll also be a beast in PvE, akin to Rad/EM in it's versatility.

CAKM is fine in my book.

Quote:Well, seeing as you haven't taken it ever, I don't think your arguement is as valid. While I agree Explosive blast the KB just like Power Push, Explosive Blats damage output is less than great. Not to mention it's very difficult to surgically KB a target back into a group, or out of a group depending on the situation, with a big weak AoE KB. Single Target KB, and Fallow in for the melee kill. Much easier on an Energy/Energy with the melee stun stacking, but it's definately applicable on an Energy/Electric as well. If you're only concerned about DPS, then you haven't realized you are one of the highest damaging classes in the game. Best to take most, if not all, of the Tools and Mitigation techniques you can.
I've survived just fine through two Energy Blast Blasters and haven't taken Power Push ever. Explosive Blast is a much more useful power than Power Push in my opinion.
Yes. Build Up and Aim are Must-Take powers. have them both before levvel 30 and your nuke at 32 will feel much more powerful. -
Hey Justice peoples! You may have known me as my blaster: Starshot Avenger? Just wanted to wave and say hello, how are ya doin'? I was once a Justice guy until I switched to Virtue for the RP. I still stand by my belief that Justice is the friendliest server of them all, of course. So, what have I missed?

-.-
+1 to Xanatos for a hilariously pointless thread. -

Power Push is a good power, that is, if you like living. As a single target knockback it can help keep targets on the ground and away from you, and remember this: When they're off their feet, they can't attack. Power Push is almost a must-take for you, considering your secondary set is electric manipulation. You wont need Power Push until around level 30, but you'll like having it, especially once you start target juggling and keeping everyone knocked over.
EDIT: Just fixed my signature so the link to my energy blaster guide functions. -
Quote:Don't forget Fearsome Stare. Fearsome Stare + Tar Patch + Tenebrous Tentacles with a Hold Proc in it is one of the most ridiculous lockdown/DeBuff combo's ive ever seen, considering it can be applied multiple times on the same group.THE SECRET TO A PURE DARKNESS!!!!
Okay, I just want to say something before I help you. A pure Darkness Defender is one of the best defenders out there lol. Okay I'll give you some key powers you need-
-Dark Servant
-Tentacles
-Your AoE heal
-Your AoE rez
-Your fear power
-Your sniper power(can't remember the name of it.)
-Tar patch(this is recommended to be one of the last powers you get because tentacles does a way better job.)
-there are two powers you should get in you mastery set:
--The endurance power(can't remember the name of it)
--Oppressive gloom
Also this is not needed but highly recommended: get hover & flight and get fitness
