New Epic Power for Force Mastery

Just checked out that they added Repulsion Bomb to Force Mastery for Blasters. My Sonic/Mental blaster just hit lvl 49 last night with exactly 1 undecided power.
Is Repulsion Bomb worthy of my last slot? Is it mainly used as a dmg power or a kb/kd power?
If not Repulsion Bomb, anyone have good suggestions for my 1 power slot?
I could either take Mind Probe or scare, or from the pools, I have Hover/Fly, Swift/Health/Stamina, Hasten, so that leaves me w/ leadership, medicine, or ionno, concealment, maybe recall friend.
What to do, what to do

Repulsion bomb for a blaster actually does a considerable amount of damage. It's actually a little better than most primary's ranged AoE damage wise, and on top of that there's the knockback and mag2 stun. It just has a considerable windup

I loved this power on my FF Defender. Having it on a Blaster with even more damage? Awesome.

I haven't had the chance to test this out on Test so take this with a grain of salt. Repulsion bomb is a targeted AoE knockdown that does some damage and has a 40% chance of stunning minions.

The power isn't terrible and it's a decent opener to get stuff on their back and buy you time. The downside of the power is the animation is long and the endurance costs high. It's definitely not something you'd use to save yourself (a la air superiority or force bolt), because you will be killed mid animation.

This is speaking from a defender's point of view on the power. I suspect that the blaster version will have higher damage. No idea if they change the recharge rate (30 seconds for defenders), the magnitude / percentage of the stun or the inherent accuracy (1.2 or 20% more accurate than standard).

As for power choices, sonic blast has a ton of stuff to take, and in my builds I always seem to have me miss taking one. There's really not a bad power in the set (maybe shout in high recharge builds). Mind Probe is okay...a single target melee blap that also has -40% recharge (Psi scream + mind probe = -90% recharge rate).

Some 1 slot power picks:

CJ - works with hover/fly, provides defense and near immunity to immobilize. Great to slot out -kb IOs (Karma, Universal Travel), LoTG recharges.

Stealth - stacks with a stealth IO if you have it to provide invisibility. Also can be slotted with Karma -kb IOs, LoTG recharges.

Superspeed - can be slotted with a stealth IO for close to perfect invisibility. Great option to stealth missions or when flying is too slow. Can take Universal travel sets, including the -kb IO.

Air Superiority - a nice way to put something on their back and ragdoll them. Pretty good with just 1 Acc IO. May be redundant if you already have TK Thrust.

Kick - While this isn't a 1 slot wonder, it's a good way to get budget -kb protection with 4 slots of Kinetic Crash (which is dirt cheap). Alternatively, you could take jump kick, but that has a slower animation. Either way, it would be mostly as a set mule power choice.

And recharge, its on a 45 second base recharge timer unlike the 30 second recharge of its defender version.

It does do good damage though, and the knockdown is good. If you are only one slotting it, i wouldnt bother, but its a good power if you fully slot it.

Personally I'm missing why you cant move something like force of nature to level 49 instead. It really only needs 2 level 50 Recharge IOs. If you play your character right, its base resistance should be more than enough to get by, especially since you have drain psyche and siren's song and to an extent shockwave as controlling/regenerating abilities.

I would also like to advise the OP, to switch epics to the elec mastery epic. Static discharge with howl and psy scream can easily create a full aoe/cone attack chain. See the link in my sig for some info/advice on the matter, but its very potent and great on teams. Elec mastery also gets surge of power, which works exactly like force of nature, as does charged armor, only charged armor includes energy resistance to the smash/lethal.

And one that won't be knocking them all over the place.
