Mez protection only works BEFORE you get mezzed, except in special cases. That means it needs to be up and any time it is down while you have enemies nearby is bad.

It's not just a quality of life thing, especially since it used to work as intended.

Also, the "says it is recharged, but won't activate" thing is definitely a problem for click powers that aren't on auto. It would really suck to try to activate it when you need it and just find out you're wasting time you could be tryign to save your hide with another power.

Of course, the mez protection being down isn't an issue for those with toggle mez protection so I guess you could say "play a different power set with a toggle" despite the fact that it is broken and needs to be fixed.

You can't solve a clear problem by saying "just go do something else", Bill.
More importanly, you can't solve Actual problems by whining that the sky isn't your favorite shade of the color blue.

1: Enemies randomly walking up to store contacts are very rare. If they are doing so at regular intervals, then it's a spawn pathing issue and has absolutely **** all to do with mez protection.

2: Go take your whine about PB/AD not firing off when idle to all the archetypes that don't have mez protection at all. See how quickly they all say, "So the **** what?"

3: Before, auto-powers were constantly firing off in places like Wentworths and the Black Market and players like me got sick of it. So the devs tweaked the code so that auto-powers would be far less of a nuisance. It is now working as intended.

4: The recharged but won't activate issue While In Combat With An Enemy Targeted is a real problem that should be researched by the developers.

5: The last sentence in your post is too stupid to bother with... much like your understanding of basic troubleshooting.

That's why I have this issue. I hate having mez protection down especially when it is caused by doing something I have to do, target an npc to do business.
No. Now we're getting into two different issues.

If an autofire power is not firing off while in combat and while you have an enemy targeted, that's one thing.

Having autofire powers go off while people are AFK at the stores is nothing but a nuisance to the playerbase.
  3. I dunno, MB. If the company that produced the trailers for SWTOR were to create a feature length movie of those trailers and add in content to bridge them all together... I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Without considering criticals (which only really improve damage by the critical rate... significant but not more than 12%) Brute damage equals scrapper damage at 50% damage bonus from Fury? My damage bonus monitor often seems to top 100% without inspirations and without difficulty. What am I missing? Is my damage bonus monitor not correctly reporting the bonus?
    Combat monitor is working fine.

    Let's look at your math.

.75*1.5 = 1.125 Check. But who runs around without any damage buffs at all AND you're not calculating crits at all.

    1.125*1.1 = 1.2375 (Edit: Using 10% crit rate)
Brute now needs 65% damage buff to catch up. (32.5% fury)

    With 95% damage enhancement:
    1.125*1.95*1.1 = 2.413125
Brute now needs 221.75 total damage buff. 95 from enhancements leaves 126.75% damage buff. (63.375% fury)

See where this is going? For every damage buff added to the scrapper, the brute has to work even more to catch up.

So the fact that it adds the same amount of damage over time as the damage proc in the Mako set when used in an attack like followup must mean that there's no reason to use damage procs in PvE either!

    /sarcasm off

Placing the CFBU in a toggle doesn't work as well as placing it in an attack like blinding feint or followup, but the proc is hardly useless.

If you've already got tohit buffs and acc from elsewhere, you'll get more out of assault in general than you will a CFBU in tactics.
  6. Just you, 5% chance every 10 seconds.
  7. Welcome back, jg.

No help to offer. Haven't heard of that before.

If threads get moderated for the health of the community why is community health only note worthy 5/7 of the time?
Because the health of the community, as you put it, isn't worth the financial expenditure of weekend moderation. If it was worth it, it would have already been implemented.
  9. Heh... yea, I almost took that angle as well, MB. Decided to go the conservative route instead.
  10. Mods cost money. Even if we're just talking about overtime for existing mods.

Is it really so earth-shattering that the ******* come out in force late Friday night only to be dealt with on Monday morning?

Honestly, I'd consider adding a weekend mod to be a waste of money.
  11. Additional information:

Playing last night, I ran into several instances of PB not firing off even though it was recharged, I was IN combat, and I did NOT have an attack queued.

Something is not working as intended.
  12. In a nutshell it was a universal slot. If you picked the recharge buff, it buffed every power affected by recharge buffs.

That said, it occurs to me that what anyone saw there may not be what shows up at all in I-19 and I may be designing a build based on flat out false information.

    Which would kinda suck.
  13. Ahhh, another seeker of the holy grail of claws chains.

Here's my best advice: Wait until you max out the +recharge alpha slot come I-19. Only then will we know how much more recharge we need for that which has so far been unattainable.

Right now, you're at 289.92% recharge in followup. For the chain we want, you need 313%. I honestly believe that the alpha slot should get you there with that build. As for the lacking defense, when I imported the build into Mids, you had some extra slots. I'd advise using them to get Lucky and Combat Jumping slotted to the ED cap for defense. You'll be close enough to the softcap on aoe that I don't think you'll notice the difference as you'll be over 45 on range and melee.

My claws/sr build is completely different than yours due to shooting for HP and Regen since I don't use aid self.

Extra note: With so little recharge missing from your build, the pause before followup won't be bad at all. You should also consider changing the chain to fu, focus, slash. I was recently talked into this for several reasons and it it helps a bit.
  14. All good points. Thanks for that explanation.
  15. I assume, as with the first one, as long as Zarathos is on the screen instead of Cage, I'll enjoy it.
  16. Question 1: Would it be easier to cap melee defense rather than S/L?
Question 2: Which defends against more attacks for a scrapper on average, melee or S/L defense?
  17. I buy TOs at 2-7 when I'm near a store, DOs at 12 and 17, SOs/BasicIOs from 22 on out.

Is the buff small? Hell yea, but it's better than nothing. Why a min-maxer will state that TOs are worthless when they'll drop 2 billion inf on +3% defense is beyond me.

Focused Sense with 3 TOs goes from 13.875 to 15.96 or so. So yea... I'll use TOs.

Edit: I suspect that those who team rather than running from 1 to 50 solo are more lax in their slotting.
  18. Also functions when you target an enemy. Cuz mitigation powers don't mean much when you're not in combat.

See Stone Armor for a power that you shapeshift into that blocks you from other toggles.

In the end though, the important thing you said was this:

But you know what bringing logic into an Internet argument will get you.
Logic won't enter into it at the end. It won't be done for no other reason but all those griping that they don't get the happy button as well.

To be perfectly honest, I would prefer that the toggle dam-res shields all be turned into passives, even with the necessary reduction in mitigation values.
  20. Here's why I don't see it happening, even if I'd like it:

"If Khels can turn on all their shields with one button why the hell can't everyone else with multiple shields?!?!?!"

Since PvP is now a completely separate entity from the rest of the game, I see no reason that changes can't be made to WS powers In PvP Only so that they stand a better chance.

Of course the odds of this being done approaches nil considering how PvP in general has been tossed to the side, but I wouldn't stand in the way or speak out against such things.

    Solo the Posi TF

I soloed Posi's with my main with zero changes to his normal level 50 PvE build. I then went on to solo Synapse's, Sister P's, Citadel's, Manticore's and finally Numina's all within a 24 hour period.

    It ain't rocket surgery.
