Perseverance.

so far, EVIL has died a few times over, and is currently on the rise again after the last period of inactivity.
People keep coming back after a while when they hear we're back on our feet.

No idea why though.
But I think it might be connected to interesting group plots, close nit community, all being crazy as the OOC channel will show, and the lack of lesbian catgirls (we have officially the lowest count of lesbian catgirls in any rpsg, at 0)

The most important part being the lesbian catgirls.

((quick bit background info. This basically came from an idea that cropped up while discussing the invasion, to kick off a few plot pieces, and cover over a few IC problems.

In order to keep this reasonably uncluttered, try and keep it down to RPSG leaders from both hero and villain side.
IC, they would of received some kind invitation (directly or otherwise) from either Britanic or Big Lunk to meet in a back room of Pocket D's.
I was going to send out actual Invitations via PM, but not everyone checks their messages regularly, and it would mean tracking down who's in what SG, and working out if they have a closer connection to either EVIL/Lunk or the millitia/brit.

So if you want to take part, just fudge your way in :P ))


In a plain, white walled, well lit room, some of the greatest beings of the world sit around a great round table.
This room, this outcropping of DJ Zero's dimension, buzzed with activity as people shuffled, and talked among themselves.
At one side of the table sits the infamous mercenary, Big Lunk, to some a hero and a soldier, to others a cold blooded killer and criminal.
Beside him, paragon city's boy wonder, Britanic.
The pair talk amongst themselves in hushed tones, waiting on the room to bring itself to order.

The walls of the KM-Tech factory in Port Oakes shook violently as the entire staff rushed into the parking lot to look at the huge craft thundering overhead. The chatterings of bemused curiosity flowing through the crowd.
"what the hell is that thing?"
"Some kind of new military toy, i dunno."
"Man, that looks so freaking sweet"

Pushing his way through the crowd, the factory owner, Renowned mercenary, Ben "Big Lunk" Campbel, clambers onto the roof of a delivery truck.
"People...People... Go back inside, Its probably just..."
In the distance, an object falls from the underside of the craft to the ground, and explodes in a flash of light and scattering the nearby parked cars.
The crowd stands in shocked silence as the air fizzes and alien creatures start to fill the scorched street.
"RIIKTII! EVERYONE, INSIDE NOW! BLOCKADE THE DOOR!"
Lunk jumps down from the truck and pushes against the teeming masses, trying to get closer to the drop zone with a determined stride, as the workers flee from it.
He taps the communicator pin on his collar "Anyone at the office, set up sentry guns at the entrance, shut off all non-essential base functions, and set up white noise generators around the entire facility. I want that place blind on scanners."
With a deft jump, he lauches himself into the air, flying upwards and perching himself on a roof above the mayhem caused by the rampaging Rikti soldiers.
The giant pulls his phone from his pocket, and dials frantically. Reaching the voice mail of Eric Mitchell, he keeps his tone low to avoid alerting the soldiers below. "Brit. Its Lunk. Rikti are hitting the Isles... Hell, they probably are everywhere. Call all the big names you can, arrange a meeting, I'll sort something out with Zero, get a conference room in D's or something. Call me back Asap."
He hangs up and watches the rampage silently from his vantage point.
Costumed freaks, and gangs of thugs running into the fray before being overwhelmed by the invaders.
Lunk's skin pales as realisation hits him "Oh god... Echo!" racing away from the fight, he flings himself off the roof into the air, as he heads towards his home.

Wow, E.V.I.L (the non-rp one :P ) must of really pelted them if they're disbanding XD

If you want old and established, then you want EVIL.
Although teaming is hard to come by, as our roster is a little top heavy, and we're more concerned with plots and casual RP over missions now days.
Plus, we're harder to get into than a nun's knickers, and we've started witch-hunting bad RPers within our ranks.

If you want regular teams, then you want The Gang.
Although you have to be a thugs MM, and they're not a purely RPSG.
Lots of members, active, and well known.

the Terra Liberation Front is a good middle of the road SG.
Full RP, anarchist/anti-establishment/classic-villain concept. They are relatively new though.

If you want quick rank advancement, and less strict RP guidelines, then i recommend one of the many newer rpsgs

Give it time

we're roleplayers, and we have (collectively) limitless imagination and creativity. We can make plots/corrector-development/concepts out of something as small as Little Timmy getting a new puppy. A major event like this should be a creative goldmine.

For example: what would happen to Rosalin's Jewelers during this? Will she turn it into a refuge center, or be fighting off looters?
Right there, you have something you could either write about as a story, or talk about in casual RP.


And as for those that claim GG is going to be ruined because of this, it wont. the invasion isn't constant, you can still hang around GG.
Just when you hear that air raid siren, it would be best to run into the hero-corps building.

Well, Lunk isnt a Villain. He's a Criminal, yes, but not a villain.

I actualy find it amusing seing the IC side of this argument. the heroes that know that Lunk IS a 'villain'.
He's usualy courteous and polite, but you'll see people like Coile acting cautious around him.

But beyond actualy knowing him IC, theres no way to tell what side he's on.

Mix 'n' Match. it means we get a nice little "almost uniform" look
So for instance p1 wears it unmodded, over his bright orange spandex. p2 sticks a cape and a helmet on, and a pair of huge shoulder pads. p3 paints his in urban cammo.

((back when they announced the Rikti Invasion (and after i stopped running around in circles making exited "EEEE" noises) i thought "wouldnt it be cool to have a uniformed group of Rikti Hunters, for the TF and stuff.
Not confined to a SG, or even to Hero or Villain side, but just pockets of these fighters throughout paragon and the rogue islses.

The origional design was scrapped, after it was pointed out that it had way too much subconsious X-Com:Ufo influence ( :P )and that the armoured legs look too bulky on some chars.
So back to the drawing board, and finaly, we get a "combat vest" design.
IC wise its basicaly Plasteel plating, with a bunch of gizmos in it (vital sign monitors, Med-port signal amplifier...all the bits needed to make life easier, but without going against game physics, like making everyone a tank-mage)

anyway, heres the base Suit. Its designed to fit over normal wear, and be easily customisable, so gloves, shoulder pads, and stenciling (secondary chest pattern) are all changeable.
Looks very cool with the swept back respirator mask, and big chunky boots.

The suits will be introduced IC...well...when it makes sense to, seings we dont realy know about the invasion yet.

So who is interested in the whole concept?))

What i want to know, is why arent all the PreCog Psi's going crazy right now?

Just keep away from the "Sentinal Industries"/"Campbel Towers" renovation projects in Kings Row... bloody terrorist

In all seriousness though, not including a huge 6 month gap between leaving Virtue, and joining Union, i had maybe 3-4 months more experiance than you.
No tabletop experience.
No other MMO experience (i tried, realy).
I do however have a small amount of experience of RPing Forum NPCs for competitions.


i think the move from N00b to vetran isnt that clear. you can be a n00b for a short time, and not be a vetran. Britanic for instance, i wouldnt call a n00b, but he's only been RPing a few months.
