Charity Ball
The Last Word have released a charity CD to coincide with the Silent Tempest/Angel Foundation charity ball. It is being sold for $5 (or whatever people wish to donate above five bucks) at Paragon University and several of the city's clubs and bars.
It will also be on sale at the ball itself where guests will have the opportunity to have it signed by The Last Word members (should they be in a fit state to do so).
The CD
On the back of the CD it reads:
Lyrics and music by DD Diablo.
"All profits from this CD will be donated to the Angel Foundation to support projects working with homeless children in Paragon City.
Bonus tracks: Place Where You Are (live), Slip of the Tongue (live)

((IC all Tempest member frequencies are listed in FC archives and members are easily reachable. So everyone who wants to come to a ball this evening please send a IC tell (comm units) to Love Angel (@Rhinotar) or any Tempest member that you know and is online. We'll form teams so that people can enter Tempest base.))
((I have to say I enjoyed this immensely, and IC Lunk enjoyed it more so
I'll try and write an update from my PoV when i get the chance ))
((Last night I took a few screenshots that people can use if needed, they're mostly crowd shots though, so hopefully there's some other screenshots out there too. For those that wish them, I've uploaded them to http://rapidshare.com/files/42075195...yball.rar.html
Was great fun last night, will write things up from Nene's perspective later. ))
((Thanks to everyone who came to the ball yesterday and I hope that you all had fun. ICly Ball was huge success and a lot was raised.

Since IC there were a lot of "invisible" NPCs around too if someone wasn't able to come online and wished to be on the ball he can say how he was but keeping low "in the crowd" and PM me how much they donated, if they donated anything at all (it wasn't mandatory).
As for what was happening, I guess there will be several recaps soon. ))
((I thought it was a great success too. An amazing turnout of people without being overbearing.
Here's an account of The Last Word's performance.))

Was a good night. Got to speak to people I wouldn't normally, dress like Harry Potter, and see Big Lunk in Lycra(the thought of it riding up kept me awake all night...the horror! ). Thanks to all involved for making us feel welcome.

Eeee, yeah i enjoyed it too, at first Echo had a Snow White costume, but i thought an Angel would be far far more sarcastic. Then the idea cropped up "You should go as the devil Lunk." very amusing, great night though, i enjoyed it as did Echo and her paper masche wings, though she really hated them. Loved some of the outfits, Brit as Harry Potter made me giggle, but Echo hadnt a clue who Harry Potter is, i liked Moons outfit too, the Terminator, ace!
Light of Truth: So, who did you come as?
Number Nine blushes. "I came as the woman who read the notice too quickly, and didn't notice it said it was a costume ball... "
Still, Nene turned up in a little red and pink dress, and at first spoke with Echo, Diana and Ben about all manner of things. Nene mingled a little, but actually felt a little shy about talking to people she didn't know that well. She tried to start a conversation with Harry Potter, who wandered off to gawk at Ben's lycra clad physique.
Nene did strike up a conversation with the two Nadia's (leading to a slow ooc moment from me later:
@Zortel: I just realised... Nadia is an anagram of Diana...
@Coile: Someone's always gotta come last. ^^
@Zortel: Indeed :P), spoke with Andre later about whether his head/jaw was big (Nene said it was a rather manly jaw. Whether she was just trying to placate young Picard we don't know ), and chatted to the barman, Chi... Chi... aahh dammit, I can't remember how the rest of the name goes. >.< The two seemed to strike it off quite well, in fact. A topic of conversation for the night also seemed to be leather pants, which was mentioned when Nene chatted to Dee Dee Diablo.
After a while of chatting, listening to the band (Being a bit of a musician herself, Nene was most interested in comparing styles), and donating $2,000, Nene bid goodnight to people and wandered off home.

Sorry about that...but that costume...was just so hypnotically gruesome
Sadly I wasn't able to come to the ball, due to my stupidity, I lost my CoV code, now I have to get a new one! Project wouldn't have arrived in costume anyway. Fantasy isn't his style. It doesn't suit giant robots.
(( Thank you goes to:
- Love Angel, for organizing the event. This shows again that all it needs is just one person with a vision and a dedicated posse of a few others to pull together a grand event.
- Sword of Truth and Light of Truth, for base design. The party area looked beautiful and had functionality. For those who took a glance around the base, Sword is responsible for the most of the current look.
- Chiaroscuro, for bartending. It's not the most glamorous job since the guy behind the bar can rarely engage in conversations because emoting making and giving drinks takes up a lot of time.
- Dee Dee Diablo and the rest of the Last Word for providing the event 'a soul'. A charity event in itself was a distinct idea but combining an IC cd with a music number made it feel unique.
- to all who came, because you made the event an event! I had a good time and I hope that everyone else did too! ))
(( Would like to say thank you to all involved with the organisation / hosting of the ball.
Was a little hesitant about attending (for IC reasons, it's been quite a while since Ves really spoke to any of the ST members and didn't really want to take him to a party if he didn't know anyone there) but I'm so glad I did
Much fun was had, a few old faces were seen (Coile with hair!!!! ) and even party-crashers! Perfect!!
Well done all, and once again, thank you
*big thumbs up* ))
((As of today this poster could be seen hanging in Pocket D, in all train stations and on many notice boards around the city.))
