Question: Major events in bios
Rarely a week goes by without a large building somewhere in Paragon City blowing up. Knock yourself out
I'd say go for it too, like Blackdove says. I think every week a building blows up, hehe.
Though for a bit of fun, me personally, i'd make some newspaper photoshop or something with "The so and so building goes up in smoke!" or something along them lines, thats just me though.
Another thing to remember is the buildings in game are merely representive of Paragon City. In reality the city is much more vast than can be shown in game. After all we cant really be expected to believe the Hellions are torching them same few buildings 6 or 7 times a day. Even they must get bored sometimes.
I dont think anybody would have a problem with you trashing a building(unless its something unique like city hall, in fact I think most of us has torched, nuked, or knocked down one at some point.
Beyond the "same building over and over again" Hellions... just look at the city map and where the zones are. What's in between them?
I've had a character live in a 'run down upper class' area between Steel Canyon and Independance Port.
Just don't go blowing a 100 foot crater where a mall used to stand in Boomtown
@ShadowGhost & @Ghostie
The Grav Mistress, Mistress of Gravity
If you have nothing useful to say, you have two choices: Say something useless or stay quiet.
Just keep away from the "Sentinal Industries"/"Campbel Towers" renovation projects in Kings Row... bloody terrorist

That was such a fun mission to GM.
And yeah, I sometimes use the bits in between the maps for house locations.
(Oh, don't blow up Unity Vigil HQ in Skyway. They just put in the foosball table! )
What about interaction with Major NPC Characters?
Statesman and Lord Recluse for example?
I ask this because Hatesman supposedly used a Doomsday Device on Statesman to extract his power and plant it in his own body. Statesman of course, broke free before even 4% of the proceedure was complete, destroying the device and rendering Hatesman unconcious. I can't help but feel guilt for God-Modding. Statesman is someone's character, but then again, he's also an NPC, for the most part. Where's the line for people and characters?
It takes Chaos to move the world to Action.
People have used game NPCs before, even I have; but where I've used them I've tried to make their part relatively minor. Certainly, I've never attempted to give a game NPC any major events in my plotlines; too much risk of it all going kasploooie!
@FloatingFatMan
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Awesome!
Cheers guys.
I'll post the bio up in creative when it's sorted!
Hi,
I'm just curious on people's ideas on major events involving Paragon in character's bios and their impact on the city's history etc.
Ive just returned to the game myself and I am currently writing a back story for a new character involving the destruction of a large building.
Is to create a large event such as this, that supposidly happened in the past a roleplaying faux pas?
Hopfully see you at GG soon!
