    RIGHT, because we're EVIL

    and when we awaken every morning we must have EVIL syrup on our EVIL pancakes

    Just ask Frostfire if life is that simple, after he gets bailed out for the 15th time today...

    You keep saying that word. I do not think it means what you think it means...

    Hubris: Overbearing ambition or pride that leads to ruination

    What is freedom without safety?

    Where is the justice for those of us who want to live without violent resistance?

    Never speak again about hypocrisy!

    That just means 90% of those trying to join the Guard are NPCs

    Do you think the Emperor would recruit people with allergies into the Praetorian Guard?

    Yes, please come to Praetoria and tell our citizens the TRUTH! There is no safety with your 'freedoms'
  10. I don't think you all get it!

    Praetoria is not Primal Earth. Praetoria had an Asian nuclear holocaust and the Devouring Earth as a world wide plague. This world was dying

    Primal earth has 'freedom'. That 'freedom' is abused by any and all, from magic powered thugs to ancient demon lords. Your citizens are vivisected by the Vahzilok, experimented on by Crey, killed by Rikti, and have their very souls torn asunder by the Circle. Yet you refuse to take the needed actions to stop these threats!

    I would much rather live under the rule of Emperor Cole than live with the dangers of your 'freedom'.

    Don't come to Praetoria unless you understand this

    To a cause far greater than oppression. What a silly man, that embodiment of despotism fittingly dubbed Tyrant, to hide behind a mass of soulless individuals long since beguiled by propaganda, fear mongering, and radical Praetorian zealotry.
    Beguiled by propaganda? Have you actually SEEN what the CoT is doing in your 'free' society?

    It is not WE who are 'beguiled', I'm afraid...
  12. Let's see. Would I rather be mugged in the streets? Have my profits stolen for 'protection'? My body taken to be used as a vessel for an ancient, wicked soul?

    ummm...

    THANKS EMPEROR COLE!

    Never wanted to get involved in the Rep thing. But silly tags are a fun way to kill time!

    Leave my silly tags alone!
  14. This whole thread is why I almost never even try to use 'contacts'.

    It's just that much more enjoyable to join PUGs and help other people do THEIR missions, for as long as the fun lasts, and then be on my way to another PUG

    Mission cue? I have no missions in that!

  16. Just my personal observation, but this is my 4th Halloween event and it never seems to get old

    Which is funny, because I can't stomach Croatoa. But give me 2 hours a night knocking on doors and fighting ghoulies and I'm happy as a gamer can get!

This is for a simple, obvious reason - all the readers also live on an Earth, which is improbably similar despite the presence/lack of superpowers - but it can lead to absurd situations as the OP and others have noted.

    It's even worse in the Marvel U, where New York City is the center of the universe. (Insert famous New Yorker cover here.)
    Not true! The Nexus of all Realities is in the Florida Everglades, guarded by the Man-Thing!
    New York might be important, but the center is in Florida

    That's right, kids! Want to see my Giant Size Man-Thing?

    first printing, of course

    I enjoy playing the nickname game:

    Midnighters:

    Percy Winkley = Percy Useless
    Lady Jane = Suicide Jane
    C'idion = C'idiot

    Posi TF:

    Rollister = Rollercoaster

    Faultline:

    Captain Castillo = Fancy Pants
    Fusionette = Fuzzy

    many many more, trying to make the PuGs smile

    Thanks! I love that line, but don't have the movie to get it right. Ironic, considering he planned out a bus crashing through a wall just so he could kill a guy
