  1. Okay, I am VERY sorry if this has been mentioned before...

But, my Search-Fu is weak and I have been gleaning over MANY posts to find my answer, to no avail...

Is there a way to see the binds and macros used for a specific character?

I have a MM that has some cool binds (they do EVERYTHING), and when I played it regularly I could remember them...

I started playing other characters and I have since forgotten them.

Other than just hitting every key on the board and seeing what happens, is there a command to let me see what binds are assigned to each character?

And, I really don't want to delete them all and restart if I don't have to; some of the binds I haven't seen elsewhere.

    Thanks!
  2. I like your build. I am tweaking stuff on account of my Leviathan Mastery instead of the Mace, but it is a great starting point!
  3. http://www.cohplanner.com/mids/downl...2AFF1F41D5E11B

This is the "half-way point" (in other words roughly 500 million inf spent).

Don't think I can afford to get the Cytoskeletons and keep it under 1 billion, as they are running 300 million each right now. I also used a lot of my salvage and crafted almost everything myself (unless it was cheaper to buy it premade).

I do NOT miss elude now... I died ONCE and that was me being reckless. I cannot wait to get the other LotGs and the Cytoskeletons...

As a note, if it isn't crafted, the enhancement is temporary.

Now, onto the Leviathan-Crab and Mace-Bane!
  4. Working on the widow build now... Will post it ASAP.

Crab Spider and the Bane will be next...
  5. If you want more difficulty, raise the diff...

If you want to feel like a demi-god, lower the diff and go x8...

Everyone's happy, just not all at the same time.
  6. All the new story-lines by characters who were part of bizarre Crey or Aeon experiments will be hella good reading (or at least funny).

"Behold, Aurroch-the-Mike! Bull Sonic Blaster with BELLOW ACTION!"

"It is I, Vicar Talon-Ted! The wickedly smart Bird of Pray!"

I eagerly await the Pocket D animal pack give aways!
  7. So, I enjoy my VEATs a great deal...

Right now, as messed up as they are now (lots of attacks that follow no recognizable pattern, never put them in Mids, IOs because I had them on hand or there was ONE bonus I wanted) my Crab, Widow and Bane (who is not 50 yet, but will be soon enough) are all some of my favorite toons to play.

I would like to maximize their potential, but I simply cannot spend more than 1 billion per toon. I realize that most casual gamers would think this an obscene amount for a "part-time" character, and conversely serious gamers will scoff at such a limited amount of infamy (which would buy half to one purple IO set, depending), but that is the arbitrary cap I set.

I can go maybe 100 million over that, but I really don't wish to spend any more. I have other characters I still want to get set (my situational characters that I use for specific purposes [the TF tank, the SF buddy-corruptor, etc.,]), and they'll need inf too.

So, for anyone who has the time (and better understanding of Mids) and inclination, here are my thoughts and concepts. These are how I have them set now, and I am NOT married to any of these...

My Widow is my "off-lead" scrapper and buffer. She has most of the claw attacks, and most of the defensives. She uses no travel power but jet pack and ninja run, but I would like her to either have SS or Leap (flight just seems wrong).

My Crab has sort of a "Tank-Mage" set-up with LOTS of AoEs (Leviathan Mastery [no pet] has some great stuff {venom grenade and then Bile Spray is a friggin SICK display on DoTs}), and once again, no travel power but 5 pets.

My Bane is your prototypical "blapper" and, once again, has no travel powers. Just started Mace mastery, and really I have no identity for him, other than he is my blunt-trauma assassin.

I don't have a Fort... never cared for it. And, by the way, I KNOW I could've done dual build for my Spider, but I don't like the backpack if it ain't workin'... call me crazy.

So, any ideas? Remember, other than the inf cap, there are NO restrictions. I want them to be the best they can be with the financial limitations given...

    Thanks in advance!
  8. So... Issue 19.5 is out, and I was wondering if we might see that build, especially with the level shift for either attack rate or damage (accuracy seems pointless, and though endurance may drain some, 4 slots in interent stamina should offset that when slotted well).

    Apex SF sucks!

Yeah, THAT bothered the crap out of me... My main was too high (but not yet 50) when Croatoa first came out, so I didn't notice it at first... But when I actually went through there, egads!

    Go with option 7
Hmmm, I actually think option 4 is more appropriate...

If you want to shake and bake all your drops, 0x8. (I find this to be the very best.)
If you want to max your prestige/inf/exp per killtime, +2x8. You can then craft drops, too.
If you want to max your prestige/inf/exp per killrun, +4x8.

NOTE: With level shift you can't get +4x8 any more, and the sweet spots move up by the amount of your level shift unless all you're looking for are purple drops, in which case -2x8 becomes very VERY fast.

    Hope that clarifies things.
So, purple drops, as in purple recipes? Forgive my ignorance, but how exactly would, for example, my 50(+1) widow get a larger chance for purple drops on -2/x8? Wouldn't that make the level effectively 49 and not 50? I understand that the more mobs the higher a percentage of possible drops per mission, but the level thing confuzzles me.
  13. As I am rather unimaginative... Crab Spider Beorn and Huntsman Beorn are my VEAT spiders, and I don't have a Fortunata, but my widow is Black Widow Hexie (something I am going to rename when I get the 10 bucks to do so) in honor of my (ex)wife.
  14. Yeah, a fire/dark corr is awesome! I went from 1 to 50 (with altitis and one double exp weekend) in 29 days.

Really? I don't have a stalker up high enough to be on the LGTF, but I have a Bane that has gone by Drones before... Cloaking Device can't be better than Stalker hide, can it?
  16. I was hoping there would be Bear concepts... Alas, I reckon not.
  17. wow... I thought it looked comical (and not in a good way)...
  18. You can exchange Vanguard Merits for Gr'ai Matter... THAT is a simple and easy way to get a shard... Granted, it is 150 Vanguard Merits, and you can only do it roughly once every 18 hours or so...

But, how many merits does one get on a Rikti Mothership Raid? 400? More?
  19. I have used this tactic myself...

Hovering near one of the arches above the doors to the Arachnos Tower, but far enough for LR to TP-snap back after leaping up there, one can continuously taunt and LR will keep looping around and around while the towers are dropping from the other team members.

Perfect Zinger 6-slotted in Taunt is just fine (and that teeny, tiny chance for damage for SOME reason gives me joy every time I see the little orange numbers float upward on the screen), and you should have no problem.

It is a cheesy way to do it; not nearly as "tank-like" as planting yourself between the towers and grunting at LR all the while driving your fist into the palm of your other hand with an alarming monotony, but it works.
  20. For those who don't know, how do we get the nukes? I understand Shivans and the HVAS...

Heck, explain them, if you could, for folks who don't know, please...

    Lgtf

Lady Grey Task Force... Ahhhh, the memories...

    I've done this with an Invul/Energy tank, a Crab Spider, a Widow, a Bots/Traps mastermind, and a Fire/Dark Corr...

Each one was fun, but I think I enjoy tanking most of all.

You can fail 2 of the missions and still complete it (and for speed TFs we often do [though to be fair most folks only fail the 3rd portion of the TF])

Rikti, Rikti, Rikti... And, the Clockworks with the psi attacks. These can really hurt a tank who's not prepared. And, as mentioned above, Auroxis is dead on with everything.

    Kill Famine first!

If you are going to let Infernia and Glacia live, then expect this to be the longest portion of the TF. I'm not 100% sure, but I can say with a pretty high degree of certainty that I've not been on a LGTF that has done the third mission for success this year...

Hami presents a problem if everyone just runs off for their personal moment of glory. Working outside in and hitting the mitos in the correct order means no/little problem. Lately though many of the LGTFs have taken out the Rikti, but left the pylons up until the mitos are gone... Anyone know why that is?

The end as I've been on it usually is someone stealths to the staging area outside the main room, TPs all there, rush the AVs, then go about taking out the 4 generators (killing each spawn as they happen until people decide to leave). Sometimes we pull, but usually not. Honoree is a nasty energy melee dude, but his psi attacks are a bit more troublesome for a tank I think. Regardless, if you made it this far, the final room should present no problem.

I've done this in 25 minutes... I've done this just a hair shy of 2 hours... It really depends on the make up of the group, the leader, the stated objective(s) (i.e.- shards or merits), and the travel powers. Team TPs or ATT, stealth, and SS can make this one go by so fast you'll be at Honoree before you know it.

Never done a MoLGTF, but I reckon I'll try for it at least once this week.

    Happy Tanking!
  22. I don't use Hasten all that much, honestly it was more important earlier in levels... I could get combat jumping instead... So, remove res elements entirely and put in RPD instead... Not a problem.

I am going to mess around with this, but not until after the TFotW, so I should post a new build this weekend.

As always, thanks for the input!
  23. Hello to all my fellow players, with a special "hi" to my brother and sister (and other) tankers, with an even extra-ultra-spiffy "howdy" to my fellow Invulnerability tanks.

So, I've been playing this game on and off since Beta. I never really tried to get much out of my builds. I, like many casual players, just played to play and if I got something nifty I'd either craft or sell it.

Til I hit 50 the first time...

Then I started looking for ways to play my tank that were more than "fun" but also "useful."

The first time I got my butt kicked on the ITF (as I was told on that disastrous outing, "Invul ain't good for Rommie, bro"), I thought, 'how can I improve my style of play?'

I tried and I think I got better at holding aggro, taunting, assisting my squishier teamies, but I was STILL getting beat up a great deal.

You can't be much of a meat shield when you are either A) on your back or B) going to/coming from/AT the hospital.

So, I FINALLY started looking at my tank as a protector, rather than a really buff but still kinda weak scrapper.

Here is my build. I didn't want to sacrifice my concept (The armor he wears is magical and passed down through his family, and it glows with heat, makes him able to fly, and protects him from all mortal peril), but I am more than willing to swap out or Frankenslot my guy for max effect.

    Two caveats-

1- I am an ALT-itis sufferer. I don't have as many 50s as many, but more than some, and I enjoy GETTING to 50 and then I start trying to get the next one to 50, so I am not farming or playing ALL the time on Beorn.

2- I don't really have the scratch to purple out or Hamify my build. But, spending 1 billion overall I reckon is serious enough.

Here is the build, and comments are always welcome!

    Thanks!

    Beorn-

  24. I've been wanting chain armor (instead of the very stylized plate armor) since I started this game. Yes, I realize we aren't the "other" MMOs, but still, heroes dress in all manners of attire and armor.
