  1. Drop rates definitely seem better, just ran a council paper in GV. +0/8 man. Got 16 salvage and 6 recipes, all generic though, no sets.
  2. AND now it appears as though the Baraccuida SF is bugged, I completed a Master of last night (9/18) and NO badge.. SOO Angry!!

They don't stack from the same power, but slotting 1 in both Burst and Slug will stack. So I can effectively floor a boss's Defense and Resistance with some luck.
  4. My Traps/AR Defender just hit 9, and I'm loving the ride. I'm amazed that Caltrops is REALLY useful. I knew what a monster AM can be, but with the Defender Modifiers added in.. just wow. And FFG at 8????? That right there sells the set almost by itself. I can already see the possibilities this guy will have, what with multiple Achilles Procs

I get the feeling Traps is recieving the same reception TA got.. luke warm at best until people really tinkered around with the set and realized what a beast it can be. The debuffing levels of a Traps/Dark or /Rad are just downright scary.
  5. Just ran lal 50 paper missions in GV with my Brute. Had it set to 8 man team, with +1s. It was a non-stop roller coaster of Destruction!!! I was grinning! Only died 1 time due to a sapper hidden in the corner. At times, I couldn't see anything on my screen due to the smoke from 4 or more Titans.. is was Glorious!!!
  6. Dockworkers: So you want to be COMPLETELY useless and unnecessary?

  8. We need to campaign for a new Day Job, only attainable by standing by standing by the outside doors of AE buildings- "Paragon Tour Guide"!
  9. I've played more stalkers then any other AT in CoV. I can tell you that the Stalker AT, post-buff WILL outdamage and outkill a Scrapper in Every single instance. Not only does the increased Crit chance really add up, there is the safety factor.

No matter how much damage a Stalker cranks out, they will never peel agro from a Brute or tank or any agro holder. Which means they are free to concentrate on killing, nothing else. Scrappers will at times attract far more agro then they can handle, and need to spend a few precious seconds activating a heal or repositioning to minimize incoming damage. A Stalker never needs worry about this. I have stood side by side with a Tank AND Brute during Invincible ITFs and LGTFs and never once been noticed. And I have doth Resist Secondaries at 50, I know when I'd get hit. There have been team wipes where I clean up the mobs while waiting for the team to rez, in absolute safety.

Honestly, there is no reason I would take a Scrapper over a Stalker if I had to choose only one.. the Stalker will benefit the team and COMPLIMENT a team far better. A Scrapper brings nothing more then damage to a team, a roll that can easily be filled by blasters or even tanks with the right support. A Stalker brings surgical strike ability, speed, even defense in the sense that the tanks and brutes can worry less about squishies since a Stalker can jump back and eliminate a threat to the back line before the agro holders even register the danger. Bosses are a non-issue with Stalkers onboard, allowing the Brutes and Scrappers to wade into the rank & File where they shine. On any half competent Stalker, the boss will be down and out before the Scraps even get warmed up.
  10. I don't care how many times you can recreate it Sally- they aren't going to award you Bug Hunter for this.
  11. Get off the fence and get your Freak on!!!
  12. A couple quick comments Cold before I pass out-

You certainly don't need to fully slot Grounded out with Res, it's a waste since you can cap your energy resistance easily. Slap the uniques in and use the other 3 slots elsewhere.

Sloitting Power Sink fully for Taunt on a tank is a bad use of it, even for the bonuses. PS is going to be one of your BEST agro management tools- slot it for End Mod, I'd suggest a full set of Efficacy. Draining all the foes around you will be the best use of PS, trust me, they will keep focused on you. On that note, strip 2 Slots from Physical Perfection, add those and the 3 from Grounded and 6-slot Taunt. (I speak as a massive abuser of a fully slotted taunt in PvP.. its FUN!) This way you keep the bonuses from Mocking Beratement AND get a nice boost from the bonuses of Efficacy.

One last comment. Actually more of a heads up. For whatever reason, slotting a damage proc in Chain Induction SEVERELY reduces the chance for "chain shock". I noticed it immediately on my Elec/Elec Stalker.. it really cuts into your AOE potential.
  13. Thats it!- and I was thinking about the power itself, not the set
  14. Before the forum change there was a post on how to soft-cap Invincibility using Reactive armors and other IOs. I cannot seem to find it anymore (my search-fu is weak). Does anyone remember the build for it? Thanks for any help
  15. Mental Note.... Get upgraded video card and supercooling fans so my PC does explode during the Jackson Pollock painting that Mothership Raids will become post-I16....

    Mids: Pre- I16

This link will tell you all you need :

    How to modify mids
  17. No, they can get Targetting Drone which is a Toggle and Surveillance which isa click Defense/Resistance debuff
  18. My point being double-stacking invariably leads to Nerfs, and I don't want that for any set.

Also, endless Endurance could see the creation of some scary farm builds, for example ELA/SS witrh auto-foot stomp can literally farm all night without stopping EVER.

EDIT: my money (and hope) is still on Short Circuit.

Anyhow if Elec Armor for Tankers/Scrappers get something actually useful instead of CP there will be hordes of Brutes and Stalkers screaming...

    [/ QUOTE ]

It strikes me that the ability to pick up Conserve Power at level 18 on a tanker would be one of the main attractions of the set. This is when you'd get it if it were ported over without changes. With auxiliary powers, you could have it twice, and any Electric Armor tanker I probably would make likely would have it twice.

Not sure why I am seeing the hate for what looks to me to be the most fun and useful power in the set.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The power has a duration of 90 seconds and a recharge of 600 seconds, thats an uptime of 15% without enhancements and 29% if fully slotted. Thats not going to help anyone skip Stamina.

Making Power Sink tier 7, though, would.

Power Sink has a 60 second cool-down and it can literally refill your full endurance bar with enough foes around. That's every 31ish seconds with 3 recharge SOs. Conserve Power is entirely redundant in the set, not to mention horribly weak compared to the alternative.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well with a fully slotted CP, Hasten and fairly pedestrian global recharge, you can get CP down to 150s recharge. Add in a second CP with the same stats (what would happen here if nothing changes in ElA (that's for Kioshi ) and that would make CP effectively perma, no?

    [/ QUOTE ]

It would Kruunch, which is why I doubt they are going to allow it. Perma-CP is very powerful when you think about it. Also with some of the high recharge builds out there plus a lil team support and you enter the realm of double-stacking. THAT is scary in and of itself.

If I can't change out the geometry for Spines then forget about it.

Just say no to banana melee!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Apart from Spines being able to use the geometry from Thorns, and Thorns being able to use the geometry from Spines (both of which can be colored), there will be at least one other set of alternate geometry/FX.

As for Martial Arts, the alternate animations we have right now are mainly punches. The idea was to provide you guys with a way to make the classic, fights with their fists and feet, super-hero that many have been asking for. That includes a new animation for assassin's strike (Assassin's Blow?).

    I love you man

The higher Tank resists should help, but I think Elec Armor tanks are going to have to rely on Tough and End Drain as mitigation. Think of it as Fire Armor with a sapper power instead of a Heal. I'd love to see Elec Tanks replace CP with Short Circuit.

Is it gimmicky? Yes. Is it anbother set that requires Tough to be viable to most- yes. But It is different, and that is whaty makes it fun, for me at least.

As for Capping Defense? I was able to get 48%+ melee defense on my Elec/Elec Stalker, so this IS doable.. and looks like a very sick possibility (in a good way).

    [/ QUOTE ]

Tough doesnt bother me.. I put tough and weave on Every Tank ( yes even Stone.. and yes its overkill )

Its just that I see the set on Brutes and I am not that crazy about it on brutes.. I can see of you really went for end drain then that would add some damage mitigation and you really dont need Conserve Power AND the Drain... One of those has to go.. They should just add something called Electric Surge which acts like Healing Flames..

    [/ QUOTE ]

Understandable.. Brutes kinda get screwed with it because while they have Tanker level Resist caps they start with Scrapper numbers- so it does feel squishy.

How about your Electric Surge idea but instead of heals it boosts resists instead? That would be a nice twist.
  22. I agree it is abysmal on Brutes, I've tried several times and couldn't stand it. Stalker side it's a different animal though. I would rank it between Dark and EM (mainly because of EM's animation nerfs)- mainly because of LR. The simple fact that LR doesn't break Hide allows me to LR into the middle of a group and pop off Thunderstrike (thereby getting 100% ST crit) or an AS before they get up. That is a HUGE benefit to single target damage for a Stalker. Ad in the quick animations and recharges on CB, HP and CI combined with the Stalker's increased Crit chance and it cranks out more ST than people think.

On Scrappers Spines is still king in AoE and I would still rank Fire slightly higher simply because of the extra DoT damage.
  23. The higher Tank resists should help, but I think Elec Armor tanks are going to have to rely on Tough and End Drain as mitigation. Think of it as Fire Armor with a sapper power instead of a Heal. I'd love to see Elec Tanks replace CP with Short Circuit.

The electric melee brutes and Stalkers get is pure, unmitigated garbage, one of the worst, most underperforming sets those ATs have, and I expect the same to hold true for scrappers.

We'd have been much better off getting either Axe or Mace in terms of performance. SS would be a dream come true.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Um, not sure where your getting this, but Electric Melee for Stalkers is FAR from underperorming. It ranks right under Dark Melee for damage and is probably one of the best sets you can have as a stalker.

As a Scrapper, I imagine Elec will be a decent middle of the road set, probably behind spines and fire in AoE.
