  1. I highly doubt That a set like Serene's would get released before Dark/Dark.

Dark may be a port, but it's a NEW set for Doms, where as the "autumnal" idea is just a mishmash of what we already have. Dominators are the ONLY AT red-side not to have access to dark in some way, and they are probably the 2nd most requested Dom set after Illusion (which I rather NOT be ported).

I have a small hope that it'll be a new set like Device Control or Radiation Control/Melee or something. But if it's Dark, I will be VERY happy.
  2. I had the inkling to create a heavy duty debuffer for when my group runs 'Cudas and RSFs, so I thought about this combo.

I normally don't play Corruptors, I have exactly 1, a old Dark/Dark 50 that I haven't played since Issue 10, so I really have no idea how to build one. I whipped up the following build for him, went for extra damage, regen and a bit of recharge.. what do you guys think?

  3. If you can wait a bit.. I suggest looking at the new Alpha- Agility. It covers End Mod, Recharge and a bit of Defense. It'll help your own recovery and Chrono Shift and boost all your recharge. (I'm also partial to Vigor but it doesn't exactly fit what you need.)

The only character I used Musculature on is my TA/Archery Defender. If you're looking for more damage- go Reactive Interface. On a Fire Blast character it is sick damage, my Fire/Fire/Fire Dom is completely over the top now, wiping out X8 mob sizes in a flash.
  4. The one I came up with was the following-

Magic Fire/Fire Brute: A quasi-sentient elemental force of fire given human form. Using the Empty Jar, the Omega aura for hair, and High Collar Vampire cloak I was able to make it appear as if the flame was just hovering where the head is supposed to be. (I had to tinker with grays to make the Jar transparent as I could, and the collar helps hide it, so does FA's shields.

You could play on the Jarhead/marine concept- a die-hard gunny who just can't leave the corps- even to the point of transplanting his brain to a jar to make sure those wimpy recruits become real marines!!!
  5. Got a final response from support- here's the part about the Reward Points (not my 550 Paragon Points just to clarify)

The monthly Paragon Reward Token is awarded differently than the Paragon Points. They follow the same schedule as the old Veteran Reward program. This means you may not receive them on the same date that you receive your monthly Paragon Points. Paragon Reward Tokens are calculated based on the time your game account was actually playable with active paid game time. Please keep in mind that lapses in paid time will affect the date you receive your monthly Paragon Reward Token. This may be most common for customers using a Game Time Card to pay for their subscription. Please also note that while you do pay for game time in advance, you will have to play through your month of time before receiving your Paragon Reward Token.

Freedom has been active for about a month, so you should be receiving your next reward token within a few days on each account. Should you have further questions, do not hesitate to contact us again.

Soo.. the Reward Points are still on the old vet reward timer but reward monthly instead of every 3rd? That just seems lazy programming, I'm sorry. They should have been retooled to award on the bill date, period. I'm Really disappointed with this half-***** implementation, it hurt an otherwise great Freedom launch.

Additional- To have PPs, Reward Points and Transfers all on separate different timers just seems dumb and wayyy too much potential for breakage, as we have aptly seen here.

It'd be interesting if he manages to get something going with this. He certainly wouldn't be the worse choice by far.
He's smart and figuring out what targetted audiences want so I would definitely give him a shot.

Referring to your link Lothic- not sure how much I would believe that report since it's suppossed to be 5-7 years after Voyager yet mentions that the Klingons are restless after the Praxis incident?? Praxis occurred about 100 years before. If anything, the later seasons of DS9 showed the Klingons, even with their losses in the Dominion war were level with the Federation...

Now if the empire split that would be interesting, or possibly some cleaning up of the god-awful explination that Enterprise gave.....

I also wouldn't mind another "bad guy" race stepping up, like the Breen.
  7. My renewal date was on the 10th, I got my Paragon Points on the 12th but no reward token. The system MUST be recording it somewhere because this token on my main account would have bade me Tier 9 and i did get 550 points on the 12th.

At this point I think they need to just assign a couple people to check every VIP account anbd manually assign tokens. Yeah I know thats a lot of work and extreme but At this point I do not feel confident AT ALL that they can code this correctly. This system should NEVER have gone live in the state it is and it reflects extremely badly on the game.

Any bigger Neko and they'll need to rename the set "The Overcompensating" powerset!
  9. OK the only thing that would make this MORE awesome would be if Titan weapons were released and there was a scythe option......

    Pretty pretty please?

So unless I encountered a bug you do not get a "first time" reward from both the villain and hero versions of the SSA's.

Secondly... no you cant get 30 threads a week... you can get 10 after your freebie "first time" reward... that's it.

Basically first week it comes out and you do it you can get 20 threads. Every subsequent week will be 10 threads. Also the devs have said the SSA's are NOT the intended method for incarnate solo progression.
Actually- yes you CAN. I just did it on 2 separate Rogues and got 30 threads each time. I ran SSA1 both sides and got 20- then I ran SSA2 Hero side and got my 10. Lastly I ran SSA2 Villain and was told no I couldn't get threads, so I was able to get 30. Like I said, no it isn't a solo Incarnate path but it's a start.

    Bond 23

    FPARN!

I Agree the last 2 were the best and closest to the books, even if Quiantum was just soo.. down and dreary it affected your opinion of the whole film. I'd like to see a new version of SPECTRE arise....
  13. My ONLY complaint about the set is the sounds- they are awful in the extreme. Beyond that, the set is amazing dipped in awesomesuce with a side order of extra awesomesauce! On a tanker I actually feel like a scrapper for damage!

    Then I died.

    Oh I feel your pain!!

I need to learn NOT to hit that power when I am tanking AVs- I swear it's a 99% chance to devolve then. My latest was Reichsman on a Kahn. I had been tanking him easily for a good 35 minutes, hit Mutation.... and suddenly I'm a monkey! Followed just as suddenly I was monkey paste....
  15. You know, it occurred to me- this may be the Devs first (albiet sly) way of giving out a solo Incarnate path)- If you are a Rogue or a Vigilante you can do both the hero and villain side. That means 20 Incarnate threads, actually 30 a week, once each side then 1 more for the timer. Times that by 7 parts and by the time the SSA is finish you'd have 210 threads, not bad in 1 week solo. Not great but it's a start.
  16. heh.. first Individual costume peice I am considering buying! 80 pps for 2 helmets of that quality is worth it IMHO

Batman Forever is only "ok" when compared to Batman and Robin! Compared to any other comic movie (hell even Daredevil) it is pure steaming garbage. When you score a actor of Tommy Lee Jone's ability and totally waste him as a second-rate sidekick to Jim Carrey of ALL people you should be banned from making a theatrical release film EVER again.

And How the hell Did IM2 rate below X:Men Wolverine and Superman Returns and SUPERGIRL???? Are they serious? That list is nothing more than a X-men/DC fanboy #$&%*%-@#$%!

  20. I'm surprised at Elec Melee being ranked so low. I always found the set to be completely nuts with larger sized mobs and all the 'splash' damage. Played a Stalker and Brute to 50, and both are beasts that can roll though mobs like crazy..

Would someone explain to me what makes Street Justice so hypeful and eagerly anticipated? Is it the new mechanics? Is it the animation? Is it the fact that it's a punching set that scrappers can use?

    I don't get it.
It's a true "brawler" set. For those who want to play a street-level hero who's only powers are his wits and 'dirty' fighting, this is it. Martial Arts came close with the alt animations but that sets unreliable secondary effects and still reliance on kicks made it a ill fit. This set is what you want when you want a character like Night Thrasher or Daredevil or even Robin. The fact that the devs said that the fight scene from "They Live" was a heavy influence shows just how much they Nailed this set...

The smooth combo system is just gravy.

(runs off to make at least 3-4 SJ toons)

Your character stays under her mental control until she is done with you and then you go away. No wonder people hate it.
See, I actually kind of like the Uqua arcs. I understand that you are ignoring the elephant in the room and that may annoy a LOT of players- but I always saw it as my villain seeing right through her and deciding to take the money anyways, it's not my war.

Best comparison I can think of is a pair of lines from the Dr Who story "Seeds of Doom"-

Doctor: You're working for a madman Scorby, do you know that?
Scorby: He pays well, and when it comes to money Mr. Chase and I are of the same religion.

I admit a little story editing would clean this up, but I never saw it as a huge offense to my character. Now Wheeler... I soo wish there was a Tip mission later where we torture and kill this lil stool pigeon...
