I guess some people are like that.

Feel a little bit used though. 'Schooner' seemed a nice person. So much so that I was willing to drop whatever it was I was doing to assist a 'new' player for a moment. I'm sure I will continue to do it because it is nice help much like I when I started out and was clueless (well more clueless the I am today.)

If the experiment was one designed to see whether the City was still new player friendly well I like to think it is. I take a great deal of pleasure stumbling upon someone with no Vet badges fighting Hellions. I am more then willing to spend the time explaining how to change their Channel for Broadcast to Local to Team. That is not always as easy as you would think either.

If the experiment was one designed to see if you were capable of creating an entirely new persona for yourself out of thin air I guess that succeded as well. In a society based upon anonimity and accepting (most) things as they are presented I imagine it would be easy to do that if you are a semi capable writer.

If the experiment was one designed to see whether you could get me to spend a few minutes writing a post then yaaa for you.

If the experiment was one designed to discover who out there found Ignicity humourous well I guess it kind of worked. I liked him most days. Sure some things he said could be taken badly but for the most part I too found him funny. Most times.

What ever the experiment was designed to do I hope that it generated the desired effects.

Ahh. I always had the impression he was new. Well whatever. Hope he enjoys his stay anyways.

    Hello Justice

Just out of curiosity is Schooner still out there?
  4. Statues to proclaim our awesomeness.
  5. I'm really hoping we will be able to Trick or Treat in Praetoria and also be able to turn in costume salvage. Quite disliking not being able to have the additional slot.
  6. That makes a lot of sense. Ussually I just put them in randomly and curse myself later.
  7. Nice work Pitho. I will send myself some influence and get busy with TPers.
  8. Along with everything else I have mentioned (if in fact I have posted here) I would like to have a larger size of Workroom. Doesn't need to hold more stuff. Just think it would be nice to have a bigger work space to play in.
  9. Not sure if I have ever responded in one of these so I will do it now.

I would like this very much as well. Thank you.
  10. Hi That was me playing around in the base yesturday. I always need a rez ring at early lvls. Makes dying so much more convenient.

If some one wants to build a setup feel free. But I pick the med room, and I would like a big one please.
  11. Well this looks neat but I really can't play. Given away most of my fortune on one thing or another in recent memory. Think I'm down to a billion, maybe one and a half.

    Have fun all.

I respectfully declined. Let me just say any pronouncements of Guardian being a 'dead' server are premature.
Yeah I got a bunch of Team invites when I was there too.

Oh yeah. Tough to find Super-Heroish names on Guardian too. Pulse was taken and so was my standby Pulse'.

Yeah but it is the prettiest chair we have
  14. Yaa for it being under way. I should go make another 'Soon to be Neglected' alt.

I wonder if you can actualy get neat Super-Heroish names on Guardian.
  15. Yaaaa for a use for Influence. I'll run along now and send you some and hope I send it to the right place.

And a room? Hmmm....May I have one with western exsposure so I can watch the sunset?

    Embrace the Ebil!!!

On a less tongue-in-cheek note, the only difference between the poor,
downtrodden masses, and the elitist ebil marketeers is about 10 minutes
of effort a day and enough knowledge to focus that effort effectively.

"Ebil" is only the term (and excuse) the first group applies to the second
when they can't be bothered to understand that the things they "think"
are regular occurrences are usually the least effective ways to make inf.

As for White Hat Marketing, I've no problem conceptually with that. On
the other hand, I value my own time, and my own knowledge and effort,
and *that* is what I charge for.

As noted, anybody can do what I do, but because they choose not to,
they buy from me - I willingly provide that "service", but I expect appropriate
compensation for my time and effort.

The fact that I get rich doing it is a validation of the concept - were I
overvaluing my services, it would become more worthwhile for people to
do it themselves and bypass my wares.

Clearly, somewhere in there is a balance area where I'm willing to sell and
they'd rather buy from me (ie. use my time and resources) than build it
    themselves.

In reality, White Hat Marketing is a fiction. Especially in a Voluntary system.

In the same way, I'll pay the plumber to fix my toilet because I don't
want to deal with that crap myself (pun intended) - If the plumber were
more expensive than the convenience of avoiding the crap is worth to me, then .... I'd dig out the pipewrench and overalls, and fix the issue myself...

There's no altruism component required (or even involved) in the deal,
except as a pure rationalization on somebody's part.

    Regards,

I wonder if I could fix my toilet.
  17. It costs 1 Billion? I'm pretty sure I have that much left. If so count me in.

I'll go take a look and see what I have left.

Yep looks like I have that much so I would like to be a Benefactor please.
  18. I generally just use what drops till about 17. I would never buy a TO though, don't know I would even no where to look.
  19. Hmmm If we get a room named after ourselves can we build it too?
  20. Purple out a Fire/Emp. Great deal of fun and costs a bunch.
  21. Oh skip the cats. Just make bunnies.
