Hello Justice

Just wanted to give a quick hello to everyone on the Justice server.

I'm currently on a trial account (started today) and made a Fiery Aura - Super Strength Tanker. I've soloed him to level 7 and hes a lot of fun to play.

Glad to say that I've met some nice members of the community under the big statue in Atlas Park, and was given many helpful suggestions including joining the N P C channel (which I'll endeavor to do when I buy the game) as well as the two main Justice channel's (can't remember their names right at this moment). I was also told to register and join the forums and introduce myself to this community.

I hope I get to meet many of you in the future.

Hi, Schooner. You'll find you landed on a great server. It's got a big enough population to make teaming a cinch. There are several active global channels. There are lots of player-un events. And we are probably the most active raiding server. The people here are pretty helpful and cool. Enjoy.

Never argue with stupid people. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

It's ok to have some pride. You picked THE ONLY SERVER! The others are up (kinda) and the have people (questionable) and they even have their own version of server celebrities (D list at best). But Justice is the best! Welcome!

Thank you all for the warm welcome. Just a quick update. As some of you may know, upon hitting 14 and taking super speed I was thoroughly smitten with my character to the point where I had to subscribe to the game. Many thanks must go to the many people that helped me join a few of the major Justice community global channels, helped me with build ideas and provided links to the build planner: Mids' (http://www.cohplanner.com), and to the general teams and task forces that I was privileged enough to join today. I had a great time.

I'd like to make a couple of special mentions. I really am having a fun time with this Fiery Aura/Super Strength Tanker, but was getting disheartened by the way I was getting thrown around like a rag-doll. Consequently, firstly I'd like to give a shout out and thank you to @Tritonfree who donated 2 Steadfast: Knock back Reduction Invention Origin Recipes and the influence to craft them. They helped immensely.

Id also like to take this opportunity to thank @Anita Bedit who invited me not only to their Super Group, but organized and invited me on a number of Task Forces. From memory, I was able to partake in the Positron TF, The Sister Psyche TF and the Moonfire TF. Not only did he help me find teams and other great people to play with but he also donated a Celerity: Stealth Invention Origin Enhancement and more influence than I could poke a stick at for a complete Invention Origin Enhancement overhaul. I can't stress how much these made a difference. I even was able to solo both the Elites Bosses; Heracles and Maestro.

To sum up a quick progress report: After playing for far too long over the last 48 hours, the lack of sleep has finally got the best of me. However, I'm proud to announce my Tanker, "Schooner", is now level 24 and has level 25 Invention Origin Enhancements in all power enhancement slots.

Thanks again for both your company and help and hope to see you in game again soon.

Not sure if this is true anymore but Justice seems to be the font of hidden knowledge that hides raid expertise amongst the commoners. Too bad most of them are wizened and curmudgeonly.

Usually an either/or situation but don't let that dissuade you. Welcome to Justice and don't let the drama hounds bite you.

While I am a massive fan of Kevin Smith and Mallrats, and understand that a Schooner is a type of sailing vessel, I must point out that my character's name has no connection to boats.

As some of you may have already guessed my avatar is in fact a Schooner. I guess I should explain myself. I am from Australia. We have seven different territories/states and each has its own rules. Let’s start where I am from, in Queensland. A Schooner is 425 mL so it’s about three quarters of a pint and is probably the most common measurement that a typical Aussie man would ask for in a bar. Alternative measures are a pot, which sounds bigger but isn’t, it’s 285 mL. Or you could ask for a glass which would be 200 mL.

Over in New South Wales, schooners and glasses are the same but a pot is called a middie. In Victoria it is all the same as Queensland but in South Australia a glass becomes a butcher, a pot turns into the schooner and a pint is only 425 mL, which is a schooner in everybody else’s language.
In Western Australia a glass is a bobby, a pot is a glass and a schooner is a pot, according to some sources. But others say it works out the same as it is in Queensland except a pot is a middie as it is in New South Wales. That’s because in Western Australia a pot is 575 mL which is slightly more than a pint but close enough to be called a pint by all the English people who live there.

I am not making this up, it’s for real.

In Northern Territory a schooner is a schooner but a pot is a handle and a glass is a seven. Although another source tells me that a glass is a six not seven, because the seven is actually a pot and the handle is 425 mL which of course, in most other places is a schooner.

Stick with me on this, we only have Tasmania left to go.

In Tassie, just as in N.T. (probably) a glass is a seven. But a pot is a ten and a pint only 425 mL.

And if your still confused by all the mL's. Just remember that 425mL is equal to about 14.3 oz.

Hope this helps to clear the confusion.

Schooner
