Wow 88 years old.
Thats like a thousand life times. -
The best TF Brute is the one you like to play best.
-
I'm just going to let everyone know that th booster pack will be containing all of those baddie costume pieces we have been waiting for like the Carnie masks and Hellion T shirts.
Just thought you should know. -
Three years seems like a good length of time to me as well.
-
I kind of think Oblits work pretty well in Blazing Aura.
-
It seems that when I set my difficulty for 7 players I get less Bosses then I do at both 6 and 8 if that helps you at all.
-
OK I didn't actually know that. Still haven't done the new task forces.
I've actually been thinking about getting Acrobatics anyways. I have a couple of powers I don't use and I figured I might as well. -

Quote:This is why I fell in love with mine for the second time. It seems to me I stalled out in the low 20 as well beacuse I didn't want to have to fix the wholes again. I had a fire/fire tank that I did as well.Ideally you should jump in and use Burn+whatever AoEs you have. This will kill minions and LTs for the most part. Heal back whatever damage you took and finish off whatever is left. High S/L defense makes the "jumping in" part a lot more viable.
I took a little time off, went back and played a bit more and I kept going. -
Looks like i came late to this conversation as well. Too busy getting my Claws/Fire up to 50 and finally my first slotted Incarnate. Yaaaa for me.
Anyways, Fire does have some wholes but as others have pointed out they are pretty easy to fix. I used 3 sets (3 sets?, maybe it is four, not sure) of Reactive Armour which helped a whole bunch. Plus 3 stes of Oblits, a Guasian, and a Shield-Breaker to fill in the other gaps.
Not sure why everyone is talking about 12 KB prot though. I have a steadfast in my Combat JUmp and I seem to do fine with that.
Definately find a spot for tough/weave and if/when you actually get to be a incarnate the 2nd lvl of Cardiac adds a bunch. Totally fixed any End issues I was having as well. Think I have used Consume maybe twice since I slotted it. And that was probably just so I could run off and melt the next group.
Have fun with your fire Brute. I know I am. -
Well thats really too bad but life takes a hand.
I'm sure you will still wander the streets of Talos fighting crime with us though. Or at least we all hope you do. -
Well that all makes sense.
The City was my first MMO way back when and it wouldn't of even occurred to me that people would pay to have someone else level their characters.
Thanks for the info and I hope everyone has a nice day and a happy new year. -
Welcome to the City.
There are so many differnt types of ATs to choose from it can seem a daunting task. Don't let that bother you though. The more the merrier.
If you want to stand toe to toe with the baddies then Scrappers, Brutes, and Tanks are good choices. I should probably say Stalkers as well but I have never had one so I won't. Each of these relies upon damage and some kind of defence in their two sets to get them through.
Do you feel liking standing back and throwing bolts of energy around? Then a blaster can serve you well. They tend to be a little bit squishie but they do great damage.
Ever dream of keeping the baddies locked in one spot while little creatures run around and attack things for you? Then the Control set might be for you.
If you like to make other players stronger and make the baddies less deadly then check into Defenders.
If strategy is fun for you then Masterminds can offer a challenge. Bring out your pets, send then where you want and direct the flow of the battle.
There are other ATs as well but I don't know much about them. Someone else will be a long shortly I am sure to fill you in on those.
The best advice I can offer is to pick something that sounds fun at the time, make a cool looking costume and go off and fight crime. If after a while (whethe that is 3 levels or 30) you decide you don't like the hero try again and make something new. Then try again and again and again.
Experiment as much as you want. You will be surprised with what you end up enjoying. I know I was.
Oh Yeah. There is a group called N P C that is set up to help new players. Here is a link for information on them. http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=212083
Lots of nice and helpful people there to asist you. -
Quote:I was confused from the start though. I thought the maze was the entire base and the trick was to find you. I couldn't do that either though.Another victim.... @Bashful Banshee didn't quite make it...out of level one.
::sigh::
It was great fun though. Thanks for taking the time to make the maze and allowing us to run through it. -

Quote:Is that how it happens? If so that is ludicrous. I have no idea how many alts I have deleted with tobs of RMT emails. Now if they had come across one that had said "Heck yeah I'll buy some influence even though I could earn it off the market in 4 seconds,' I could understand.Edit: Ack. I know exactly how it happened. I just remembered that while going threw some old toons and several of them had spam from real money traders I never bothered to get rid of. They probably ran a sweep threw the in game E Mail system and banned anyone who had a lot of them. Make sure you go threw all your toons mail and clear them out.

Well I hope you return one day to many comments and wonderful ratings.

Vig/Rogue Get 50 merits after the first time? Is that right?
