My Tank dislikes Crones intensely. They never kill him, they're just a nuisance. The Vampire Lords are pretty nuisance-y too....
They drop great Prestige though, so its all good. -
Quote:If only unlocking an aura at 30 were cool! Over here it isn't. I have to wait THIRTY LEVELS to achieve something my character has needed since level 1? UNcool! At the very most, the aura mish should be at level 25. And I'd really be fine with one mission to unlock both capes and auras at 20.All these new "level 1 auras" really kind of mess with the coolness of unlocking an aura at 30.
A: "Sweet, I got to level 30 and did these missions and look what I got!"
B: "Big deal, I spent 10 bucks, got mine at level 1, AND it looks cooler."
I know it's not power creep, but...eh.
I am loving the alpha and omega auras for this; at worst, my lowbies have SOME aura to wear while they level up to the one they really want. -
Quote:For some reason I was thinking the super boosters were around $12.99.Agreed on the capes!
It's actually the same price as the super boosters - 9.99. I think that's where a lot of frustration is coming from. It should have been the same price as the Party Pack. Actually the Party Pack should have been 5.99 and the Origins pack 7.99 and Super Boosters 9.99 if I were to do the marketing.
I'm totally buying it but I personally feel it shouldn't be the same price as a Super Booster. There should be a price point difference between normal and super, IMO.
In that case I agree that non-super boosters should be less than "super" boosters, which inclue things like extra powers and one or more complete costume sets. This is a great pack and I will be buying it, but it just has less content. Price should reflect that. -
Quote:We also desperately needed new capes....Personally, I feel this booster is a good ideas. Our auras are OLD, and the selection is VERY sparse. Sure, we can always use more costumes, but it's auras where the game really hurts, and the auras that come in this pack seem to open up at least a few new concepts for me. That's always a plus.
I think some are maybe forgetting the difference between a "booster" and a "SUPER booster." This pack is just a booster. I like super boosters too, but that's not what this is. It is also cheaper than a super booster.
Buy what [general] you likes, pass on what you dont, just like how I passed on the "party" pack. You want to talk about sparse of content, that is the one to bring up. OMG.
I would be open to just general cothing packs: "pants." [this game is way short of pants/lower body tights options. WAY SHORT.] "Tops." "Faces." "Weapons." "Hair." I would buy any and all of those if I perceived the value to be good enough. -
PLEASE MAKE A VERSION OF EACH AURA WITH GLOWING EYES PLEASE!!!!!!!111!~~~~!
With that said, I will be buying this pack - because unlike the so-called "party" pack, there is a metric ton of stuff in this one that I will piece out all over the place.
I often buy boosters to get my hands on ONE piece of it, such as I bought Mutant because I wanted the Mutant wings. I will use almost everything in this one.... omg the leaf one has little cutouts in it.... awesome... so since I'll be using almost all of it I have no problem paying for it.
I would prefer that original-style boosters such as the original four origins packs continue to be made as well, however.
Wait: firefly is not in there. Does this mean we're still not going to be able to put it on female characters, after this is released? -
Quote:I think those few who can solo GMs especially should keep quiet about it; bragging about this sort of thing in public gets the rest of us nerfed.
1. Do you favour the idea of being able to solo EBs/AVs/GMs, if so/not, why?
Quote:2. Have you ever soloed an EB/AV/GM, and if so how did you feel afterward?
Quote:3. Do you think the dynamic will change after the implementation of the Incarnate system? -
Quote:Because some of us have five costumes on various characters that we want to keep. We are given an ever-expanding array of new costume stuff, and to some of us this means we need more because we like what we have now, too.Question, why could you just swap out a saved costume at the tailor?
So long as the cost of these slots was such that it paid the costs of development plus, sure. But I don't see the point honestly.
Since earnable costume slots are in the game NOW, I really cannot see this as a huge drain on developer resources: people act like them giving us more costume slots is the equivalent of having to create an entire new zone, two new task forces and a new power set or two. I have a hard time believing this is the case, but what do I know. -
Quote:Yes, I think it can be safely stated that everyone reading this knows that. However some of us have the occasional character for which we would like more than 5 costumes. If you agree, cool. If you don't, you are in no way obligated to make however many costume slots are possible; you can just not participate.
each toon already can unlock 4 additional costume slots having a total of 5
3 of them you can get through doing a very short mish arc for either facemakers or icon

Quote:How is spending two hero merits on a Miracle +Recovery a "waste"? I got an extremely rare recipe selling for tens of millions [or hundreds... have not checked the price on that lately] for.... running twenty missions total. No big deal. I'd have run those missions anyways. My point being, that I completely avoided spending influence, and running the missions generated a lot of influence and prestige for me.
Minotaur: If you wish to waste your A-merits, feel free to do so.
If I make 150 million off the market and immediately have to turn around and give it right back to someone else for a recipe I need... yuk.
Quote:Bumbler: What were you doing with reward merits? -
Quote:Exactly as usual, with the exception of not rolling any new characters. I got plenty to do on what I have now, trust me.
How are you playing for the next month? or so? -
Quote:I don't care! Just like they don't care when I have a complaint! lol.....While I would be in favor of extending the even to a full 2 weeks, I guarantee you there will be people whining by day 4 or 5 that the event is too long and it's making it impossible for them to play.
IMO the Winter event is too long, but I just keep shut about it and let people have fun skiing. "This too will pass," I tell myself - and sure enough, it does.
If I were running things CoX would have a full 30 Days of Night. Bwa-hahahaha! -
Quote:I think I paid two Hero merits for a Miracle +Recovery, and considering the going market price I think that was a pretty sweet deal. Other such deals are all over the place, often for one alignment merit. The initial 20 million stings a bit, but a few such deals sweetens the perception considerably. What are the alignment merits good for, anyway - and to whom do you turn them in?
Did for me, anyways. -
Quote:Malta are still not as bad as Knives. I hate Knives with the intensity of ten supernova-ing suns. HATE!Don't nerf them. I hate all malta's but we need something to hate. Actually I hate malta's more than anything in any game.
What I enjoy doing is fighting Sappers with my Elec/ Tank. Take my Endurance? Haha, no you didn't. *instantly saps it back* Good times. -
Quote:A medieval zone would have to give us long dresses too, so that's a big reason for needing it
I fail to see why, since the male half of the population was wearing hose back then
and we do not consider ourselves bound by tight gender stereotype these days
With that unpleasantness out of the way, please make with the Dark Astoria and Shard revamps which are so desperately needed. Would not be averse to an underwater zone, even if it takes a combat-free area to swim through to get to the missions. [No powers can be used while swimming or something like that.] -
Quote:I wonder what will happen down the road when enough people start doing what I'm doing.Statistically, you're going to make more inf on average from random rolls than you are purchasing most recipes outright (at least that was the case recently, not sure if price fluctuations have changed that).
I use hero merits to purchase the recipes I need from the merit contact, rather than purchasing from the market. It's still far, far more efficient for me to pay one or two hero merits for a rare thing I need, than to spend twenty million at the market....and have to fight other bidders for the privilege.
Its slow going but very do-able. When I am done using hero merits for the smaller stuff, I will start saving for purples. Meanwhile my millions stay OFF the market, and its working well so far.
Flooding the market with rares will only drive down the price. This is a thing I dont mind - far from it - but I dont know how long the gravy train is going to last for people intent on doing this. -
Sappers are a nuisance. What is really, truly way overpowered these days are Malta Titans.
-
Not that I know of, they haven't.
I agree that the twenty hours is a bit much. But what really irks me is the daily limit on how many tips you get credit for; this is the thing truly slowing me down and I don't like it. -

In church on Halloween...? Only if I'm in there agonizing over my sins at midnight dark and dreary, and while Im doing it a black glob of goo from another planet oozes down out of the bell-tower and drops down onto me. Then it very painfully forms an all-but-unbreakable symbiotic bond with me, enabling my rage and making me not only nuttier than a fruitcake, but all but unstoppable as I take revenge on my worst enemy. I'll start by scaring his wife half to death. BOO!
NOW we are talking Halloween. -
Ok, I call foul! The event should extend AT LEAST through All Hallows DAY, which if memory serves is Nov. 1. Ending it on the 31st, BOOOOOOOOO, HISSSSSSSSSS
Now make with the Halloween costume booster pack, already
p.s. Snaptooth better not be in that Halloween tip mission, just sayin'. LOL.... -
Since we have been waiting literally forever, I reiterate that we need Carnival-style masks, and also other full face masks such as Noh-type masks would be extremely welcome to say the very least.
These can be faces, or they can be Detail 1 or Detail 2, whatever, just please make with the full-face masks already. I would in fact buy a full-face mask PACK with about 20 different masks in it.
Or, "Carnival costume booster pack." Make it happen. -
Quote:Yeah, no one here has any idea what went down. I am very cognizant of that.
You've no idea of internal dynamics
That's why it looks ominous. Saying "it might have been this way or that way" is true... but we don't know which version actually went down. Meanwhile letting a lead developer go is not going to look too hot to any community, this one included.
Just sayin'. -
My Mind Dom has a good name for her Mu pet, which I'd really like to enable in the game.
I dont see why being able to name non-MM pets wasn't made possible years ago, to be honest. Who would it hurt? What exploit would it create? Nobody and none, so make it happen yesterday sez I. -
My understanding was that new people hired to complete a big project were the ones to be let go when the project was done; not keep the new people, and let those who have been with the project forever go in their place.
It would be good for someone in the know to let us know exactly what is going on here, because from where I sit, letting a developer of this standing go is actually quite an ominous development.
If he left voluntarily, now is the time to let us know. Because if it was not a voluntary leaving, if I worked there I would be really, really nervous. They let BaB go....? Crap, then nobody's job is safe.
Our economy in microcosm.Good luck BaB, no matter what ended up going down.
