Well good! My meaning was clear, then. It was fully intended to be snarky, sarcastic and condescending.
Asking if a power is a toggle, when a simple glance at the power info tells you it's not, is not "misunderstanding the dynamic and principle of endurance recovery." It's a simple case of not reading the power's easily available information.
If the question had been "With this increase in base endurance, will it help my recovery?" I would not have felt compelled to respond in such a negative way. I just can't stand lazy and stupid, and I'm a big fan of LMGTFY.
As such: Here's your answer. -
So's Calvin Scott. Hurray for racially homogenous marraiges in Paragon City!
-
You had a blaster! That's cheating!
Also, I'm thinking of running this All-Troller later this evening, in case I don't make the 5:30 run. -
The Tech Knight quiver was shown in a screenshot...there's that, and the
/e vomitface
Golf Bag
/e vomitface
and those're the only two. The TK one looks pretty sweet, and will prob work for any costume set. -
I tried to get Zwil to cop to his PC crashing due to our awesomeness, while he was on the coffee talk today, but to no avail.
-
Well, I can't speak for the Psi/Kin combo...but as for Martial Gloom, he uses Oppressive Gloom, IIRC, so yeah, it's gonna keep you stunned as long as you're in melee range, just like Vahz bosses.
I have a few Psi Blast characters, and I've never seen a problem with Subdual not immobilizing minions. If it hits, they're immob'd, pretty much 100% of the time. -
You do realize Zwilinger was actually playing the PC Captain Mako, right? It wasn't an NPC, it was just him, spawning things, and taunting and trashtalking the players.

Quote:How is this any different than making a Kat/Regen, going to 20, then deciding you don't like Katana, and rerolling as BS/Regen? Other than badges, obviously...but we do this already. The obvious solution that works for most MMOs with leveling: have a two-phase leveling system. In phase one, leveling is fast, player build options focus on base fundamental choices, and respecs are easy. In effect, the first, say, 20 levels are the try before you buy phase. After that, those choices become locked in and future progress involves developing those choices, which become generally immutable. Leveling becomes slower, and personal investment into the character becomes higher over time.
It would be kinda like if in CoH your archetype choice was frozen, but you could respec primary and secondary between levels 1 and 20. But after 20, you couldn't anymore, but you could still respec power and slot choices within those powersets. A free form system would not be that large-grained, but the concept would be similar.
Free form power systems don't automatically imply unlimited respecification. Combining the two together is in my opinion bad for almost any MMO. The only kinds of MMOs that could tolerate that sort of thing without serious problems are ones where the content itself is specifically designed to challenge such options existing.
Also, before you rip into me (which I know you will) I just want you to know I LOVE MISFILE! >.> Poor Rumisiel gets all the bad breaks. -
I can't get more than 3 minutes into the video because Jack's voice makes me want to punch him in the face.
Also, yay Taxibots! Are you guys only on Infinity or multi-server these days? -
I just figured Zwil was mad we figured out /getglobalname Captain Mako proved it was him, and he didn't want to curse at us in English.

Obviously Forbin's well-versed in what we in the military call Operational Risk Management. You *have* to assume worst case scenario, because otherwise you're unprepared for it.
Magic elves or no magic elves. -
What the pancake kind of power tray is that?! Holy crap.
"Using Fire Sword" YEAH I KNOW! -
Quote:lolwutExcept with DFB that is exactly what is the easiest thing to do now. I can level any character to 50, no matter how impossible the build is to level, no matter how little I know about that archetype/power setup, because it is easy easy easy. THen, when the character gets it's uber powers at 38 and you can I/O it to godhood it is ready for the I-trials without me struggling to get it through regular content.
Your point about that being even worse in a respeccable full variable system is well seen. I could build mondo the tank, crush all enemies by standing there with the 3 allowable damage toggles. Then after Mondo has hit max experience turn Mondo into Mondrotron the Mighty Blaster with no armor and 3 nukes that kill at a distance, while I am cloaked, and phase shifted. (Not a good build to level, but fun at a party)
Have you actually *tried* to go 1-50 on nothing but DFBs?
If you have the patience to do that on a "normal" powerset/AT combo, let alone a "gimped" or "aberrant" one (Petless MM comes to mind), professional help for your OCD may be in order. -

I could have sworn we defeated Lusca, because I got some merits and a bunch of INF. I know we were at least damaging the head, so, at least that part of the OP is...not wrong, but inconsistent. She was VERY close to defeat, anyway.

Quote:Does it have less "normal trial lawyer suddenly has a high-tech arsenal of technologically advanced weapons and a sensory deprivation automated sleep chamber?"The theatrical version of Daredevil was meh. The directors cut is actually well worth watching.
If so, I might consider telling someone else they maybe should check it out, if they get the chance. -

...and no. The Law of Fives means you can have 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 of the same set bonus, but not six.
-
I think asking if it was a toggle power actually proves that he didn't even bother reading the power info in the first place, making my questions about reading comprehension moot.
-
If I remember right, Grant Invis works the same way as Stealth. The DEF bonus is one value before attacked/attacking, and suppressed when attacked/attacking.
-
I'm not hammering! If I were hammering I'd have called him names or something.
I'm merely surprised at a lack of (seemingly) basic reading comprehension. Is it a problem with the concept of percentages? Is it a problem with reading in general? Is this something that should be addressed in the way the power details are described in game? Would adding something like:
"Your Superior Condition has increased your maximum endurance by 5%. What this means is, you will get exactly 5 more endurance, if your endurance is exactly 100, because 5% of 100 is 5. If your endurance is more than exactly 100, you'll get more endurance. It will also improve your recovery rate, as a side bonus. If you put Endurance Modification enhancements into this power, the modification of your endurance (the 5% we mentioned earlier) will be enhanced, or "increased.""

I would love a tasty oven-baked Dessert Shrike, actually. Mhmmm.
