There were no event badges, red or blue.
The Lusca appeared to be a new special event version -- the head was unkillable, and the tentacles kept respawning.

I could have sworn we defeated Lusca, because I got some merits and a bunch of INF. I know we were at least damaging the head, so, at least that part of the OP is...not wrong, but inconsistent. She was VERY close to defeat, anyway.

Freedom Heroes killed the Head last night... Got merits for it. Then hundreds of more tentacles spawned, I got tired of having 1fps. Mako disappeared for a few minutes, then finally spoke in Global again saying he gets terrible service in the ocean and his computer had crashed.
Paragon Studios, thanks for all you've done. You've made this a great game, and a great community. I see this as six years well-spent. NCSoft, I'm seriously disappointed in you. This is not how you get or keep customers.
Last night on Victory we were definitely able to kill the Lusca heads (at least on blueside.) Three were right together and 2 reward merits were awarded for each of them.

We took it down on Union last week - must have been about 40 tentacles to take out first though. Once they were down the head dropped quickly enough. The Coralax and Arachnos respawns were more of an problem than the upgraded Lusca.

Hi all.
Just a question for advice or whatever on the Mako event.
Yesterday was the 1st day of the new Mako event on the Exalted server. I was the team leader for a Red side league group of 21 players, almost all 50s. Well we fought and we fought and we must have killed a couple of hundred of the new Coralax beasts but no badge for any of us?? We grew tired of nothing happening so we went to fight Lusca. Now Lusca has NEVER been on the Red side to our knowledge so this was a rare treat for the Lusca badge. The 21 of us fought him and fought him, knocking off all of his tentacles with ease. There were 2 Arachnos flyers next to him so we knocked them off VERY quickly. Then back to finish off Lusca's head. We attacked that head for 30 minutes!!! No exaggeration at all. Not one tiny bit of damage was done to him, nor one bit of his endurance lost. We finally got sick of it and went to the Pocket D party.
Now what was wrong?? Was it just that the Red side received no badges at all? And what about Lusca? Why no damage nor end loss?? We should have been able to knock him off easily with that many of us. I have been on teams of 6 or 7 on the Blue side and knocked him off easily over there.
