I'm not sure if this would have anything to do with this but both of your hard drives are overloaded. Most manufacturers and defrag instructions say to have 15% of capacity left open for defrags.

With 1 drive at 12% open and the other with 7% open your seriously overloaded. Clean out your un-used junk files and defrag, it might help some.

I got my 6800 Ultra off eBay for $65, best you can get most of the time is a 7800 GS for around $80 or so. Steer clear of ATI cards, I won't go into why but many more features are available to nVidia users.

I'm 53 and when I started 4 years ago I played with a guy named Patch in Guardian, he was 60 so if he's still here he'd be at least 64...

It's shared memory, is this an onboard vid chip? I know nothing about ATI.

You don't have a video card, you have a video solution. A onboard Intel vid chip that takes it's memory from your system memory.

I have no clue what you can do about it, most likely nothing but really drop your settings to the absolute minimums and run the sound down to zero.

I'm about to do the exact opposite, I'm moving my namesake to Virtue and bringing along my first tank, FlaTToP. I'm going to write a story for the fanzine on this thing, hopefully write even more after that.

Not my first move, though. I moved my very first guy I made, an ele/ele/ele blaster and got him to 50, he was languishing at 32 until the move here to Virtue.

Those are server issues, not a vBulletin problem.

I visit several vBulletin boards that get far more traffic than the CoH forum and they run just fine.

Yah, I looked into it a little deeper. Turns out the problem is IXHosting and not vBulletin.

So as long as NCSoft doesn't change server host to a 2 star server company we'll be ok

Pwer supply could be a problem but eBay has many nVidia AGP cards. I paid $75 with shipping for a 6800 Ultra considered by Tom's Hardware as equal to a 7800 GS. These are the best AGP cards you can get. There is a 7850 AGP card but that might be a rumor, never seen one.

Probably the most fearless occupation in Paragon City, Lawn Maintinence. These guys ghost around, never seen, to keep the lawns golf green flat. Water the lawns on the sly, never seen.

edit: Oh, yeah, another doom-and-gloom prediction. The super volcano that is Yellowstone is overdue to blow and when it does, depending on wind direction, the land for hundreds of miles away will be buried under 10 feet of ash. Denver will be the mile and 10 feet city.

.....it's got to be better than my 9200SE. It gives up the ghost during the STF. Folding triangles of doom with their points aimed at the other players and VPU crashes during the final phase makes this an event a nightmare for my comp.

Next time I try it in safe mode.

I've noticed that AV's, bosses, lt's will take off running from my dark/dark defender with their health full up when I hit them with Howling Twilight. I use HT a lot when I'm soloing as an attack, I even have slow enh slotted in it.

They don't run very fast but they do run...

I was invited to a PUG the other day. Most of the members were of the same SG, lvl 50's or so. Mobs were at 52 and Praetorian.
I knew we were in trouble from the start when the tank started herding 1 spawn to a second group. As soon as he got the second groups agro half of the first group would stop, usually with the main body of the PUG inbetween.
During this time I had a RL friend over and I was explaining what he (the tank) was doing wrong. As he did it over and over many deaths ensued.
Disgusted I got up to get something to drink and when I came back my friend had proceeded to tell him he was a bad teammate and why. Ended up being the only time I was ever kicked from a group, AFTER they used me for my debuffs on the AV. I sent the leader a short, little message; ,l,,
So you see, nOObs come at ALL levels.

I USED to allow the SG to modify the base until I entered one day to find my nice arcane base changed into a tech base and 6 telepads gone. Huge loss of salvage. Base changes became top tier that day and even now I'm reluctant to promote to the top level.

...try being 3 lvls' above Nosferatu(conning orange) and not being able to dent him.

There's more wrong here than just gauntlet.

Occasionally we lose a dropper that flys down to place PA then we have a TP friend followed by a fast rez.

It's a little tricky rezing in mid-air but we do it maybe too often. lol

We're getting good at it. lol
