Quote:The problems you're having:hmmm well its a problem and it doesn't seem to be a bug persay. Also I am interested to see if other people end up having the same issue in the following days. Also it would be nice to have a Devs attention on this matter. i understand other players can't take care of the issue, at the same time being the tenth person to relay useless info doesn't help... I apologize if this wasn't exactly the right sub forum, but to me it seemed like the correct place. If some one would be so kind as to direct me to the forum they think this thread belongs in I will instead go ***** in that forum.
1. Devs aren't likely to chime in (the signal to noise ratio in here is much higher on the noise)
2. You don't seem to understand that people are trying to help you, not give you useless info - you don't seem to understand the issues at hand, and thus people are trying to question/inform you - but you keep refusing to answer...and instead continue on your mild tirade
3. There is no [asterisks]ing forum. In fact, [asterisk]ing is against the forum rules and can get you a finger-shake from the mods.
If you want to see if other players are having your same problem, that's one thing. But to rant and rave and tell people their troubleshooting questions and helpful comments are "useless info" is another thing entirely. If you want to see if other people are having your same problem, leave the ranting out next time. -
Quote:I don't understand this "objection" at all. I wasn't talking about your guide at all. That should be obvious, since I was talking to the OP about his statements.Agge, that guide linked to at the beginning? That was taken entirely from this post:
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=269044
The breakdown, is pretty much entirely verbatim from Zwillinger's post.
The "No offense to Snow Globe and Zombie Man" part was in direct response to his "well respected members of this forum (Snow Globe, Zombie Man)", and did mean exactly that: no offense to you, but the OP must warn people that he's not using complete data, only incomplete (and buggy) data from a test/prerelease/release type month (beta, headstart, launch). -
Quote:My main account:Same thing with me, I added up the months since the Freedom announcement and came up with 1200 points. When I logged in and saw 1600, I presumed I did the math wrong.
400 - July 1 pre-launch pp
400 - August 1 pre-launch pp
400 - September 1 pre-launch pp
400 - Freedom is live, September's official points package
= 1600 pp
Similarly, my first preemie account:
400 - July 1 pre-launch pp
400 - August 1 pre-launch pp
= 800 pp (wasn't active in Sept)
And my second preemie account (damn you $1.99 sale!)
400 - August 1 pre-launch pp
400 - September 1 pre-launch pp
400 - Freedom is live, September's official points package
= 1200 pp -
Those are *ALL* of the Shield customization options. That's it. If it doesn't say something can be changed, it can't be changed (i.e. the standard and reinforced shields can have an emblem).

No, this part of the forum is to get help from players, for technical issues.
This is not a technical issue that we can help with. Therefore, you don't need to continue posting here, because we can no longer provide any assistance. -
These are all of the Shield customization options:

Quote:Well, if they locked out all rewards except drops, then sure. But the SSA has bonus XP and inf gains that are ridiculous. The last boss/mission combo gave me like three bars of XP, if not more. Those SSA rewards could be locked behind a subscription or license instead of locking preems out by not even letting them join the team. Who cares if preems piggyback on SSAs if they aren't getting any rewards.
If someone buys First Ward they should be able to invite their friends along. -
-
If a preemie hasn't purchased the content, they can't even join teams doing the content. This includes Morality Missions, Praetoria, First Ward, SSA, Incarnate-stuff (i.e. Mender Ramiel; can't even be purchased), and any future purchasable content.
-
Quote:Regarding all three of these:- There is no purchase history. If you navigate to the 'My Account' area and go through the confusing hassle of logging into the NCSoft website, you will be shown a purchase history of things you have bought with your credit card... subscription time or points.
What you are not shown at any point is a history of what you've bought with your Paragon Points.
In a similar vein,
- Bundles don't seem to indicate any sub-items you may have already purchased. It makes sense that a player might buy an item as a once-off, decides he likes it so much that he wants the bundle, and then buys the bundle to complete the set.
However, there doesn't appear to be any place that shows a player which or how many items he has already purchased in a particular bundle.
- Actually, There is no indicator that you have already purchased an item by itself or as part of a bundle at all. Again, this gets doubly confusing and is inconsistent because VIP players have 'Buy Now' buttons removed from items they received as part of their VIP subscription. Those buttons are not removed from items they've already purchased.
Likewise, if you've purchased a bundle, items that are part of that bundle still appear to be purchasable.
Even if you purchase an item or bundle, the 'Buy Now' button does not disappear.
Again, this is an inconsistent control and needs to be fixed with a high priority to avoid making potential customers confused or angry.
/mypurchases dumps a huge text list into your chat window that delineates what your account has already unlocked.
Sadly, this list does not interact in any way with the market so it requires the user to parse it and apply that knowledge to the market. -

Spring Attack is awesome. The FPC (fun per cast) ratio of it is *INCREDIBLY HIGH*. I find myself giggling evilly every time I click it.
I've got an elec/SD scrapper with SA. I have SA bound to shift+lbutton. I cannot WAIT to get LR and SC, and bind them to ctrl+lbutton and alt+lbutton. I expect my FPC on that character will not just triple, but will go up in orders of magnitude with each new teleport attack. The first time that I cast all three in sequence, I will likely fall out of my chair due to hysterical laughter. -
Quote:This part is incorrect. PPs, PRTs, and server tokens are supposed to award on your billing date. There are all kinds of issues with billing right now though. For your second, the Paragon Reward Tokens are apparently awarded at the end of each month of your subscription, so you should get one at the end of the month, then another at the end of your second. The Paragon Points should be (from what I understan) awarded at the start of each month of your subscription, so you should get 400 right away. Some people have reported immediate payment, others take a little bit.
Quote:They are working on awarding all Reward Tokens for a multi-month subscription at the beginning of that subscription period, but that is not working as intended at the moment, so it is once per month. -
It doesn't look like the zone cap was lowered. In /search, AP is listed as having between 80 and 95 players (zoning fluctuations), with only a handful of those in AP2. IIRC the zone cap is 100, and a second instance opens up when it's 3/4 full and stays open until the last person leaves it... so that looks about normal.

...this was my response to this statement:
"Huh. I wonder if it's really that hard... *clicks on forums* ... *clicks on Announcements* ... *clicks on thread labeled "City of Heroes Freedomâ„¢ Praetorian Invasions Schedule!"* ...well, that wasn't hard to find at all!"
...out of curiosity, did you perhaps not actually look in the announcements forum? Heck, there's even a discussion thread in the announcement discussion forum, so there was TWO places to look for it. I am honestly flabbergasted when people say things like what's in the quote.
Are announcements really that hard to find? Am I just too acclimated to the "find announcements in announcements forum" way of things that the rednames almost always use around here? (and by almost always, I really do mean "almost always" - there are very, VERY few announcements that don't get put in Announcements) -
Yes, PM Zwillinger, Beastyle, 7deCoeur, or Avatea.
-
Request escalation because that GM doesn't seem to understand the process. Alternately, PM Zwillinger, Beastyle, 7dewhatever (7deCouer?), or Avatea.
edit: 7's name is 7deCoeur -
Ignore the year badges. What token badge are you at?
In theory you should get your year badge when you were supposed to before, if you keep your subscription going. In reality, what token badge are you at? -
No idea...I created a whole whackload of IOs last night for my little mind/emp who hit 22 on Exalted with Agge, who has all of the under-45 memorizations completed. I had no issues creating anything. I'm currently patching so I can't go in game to doublecheck myself.
However, the game seems to be epic'ly broken this morning (check out the "OMG bugs" thread in general discussion for examples) so that may be an extension of the brokenness. -
Are you attempting to create the level that you have memorized? There are multiple different levels of memorization.
Do you have enhancement tray space?
