Quote:Ditto. My layout isn't all that cluttered, even though I've got so many windows open, because I have a 23" monitor. A 1920x1080 view on a 20" widescreen monitor is more cramped than a 1920x1080 view on a 23" widescreen monitor. Even though everything is all in the same place, having it all be "bigger" makes it seem more "open".I can't abide not knowing when my powers are done recharging, so hiding my powers in invisible trays would be a non-starter for me.
(Trays 4 and 5 (and also Rest in 0) all have exactly the same layout for all of my characters. It's where all my account-wide powers go, and travel powers, and rare clickies like accolades. This screenie is a little old, so there have been more vet powers added so things have been a little rearranged from where they are shown here. The resolution of the screenie is also wrong because I used to play in a modified-size window, now I play maximum-sized window but not full screen. Also, I've been thinking about getting rid of the enhancement tray if I ever buy the enhancement storage increases...if they ever go on sale to a reasonable price.) -
The Veteran Rewards Badges, which were repurposed and are now Paragon Rewards Badges, do not have their attached Veteran Rewards Program perks.
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Loyal_Customer_Badge
and
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Loyal_Cu...adge_%28Vet%29
are two separate badges, and one (paragon rewards) overwrote the other (vet rewards). The Vet badge does not apply any longer, nor do any of the Veteran Rewards Perks. They have been superseded into slotting tokens into the Paragon Rewards Program shrubbery. Having the Loyal Customer Badge now just means that you own X number of reward tokens, nothing more (they don't even have to be slotted to get the badge).
What Veteran Rewards Badge did you have on September 12, 2011? The day before Head Start. That is the badge from which you calculate your previous veteran time going into the Paragon Rewards Program.
If you had the Genuine badge (69 months) then you had, at Head Start:
23 from 23 vet badges
05 from 5 years
01 from retail account
01 from having an account
(possible 01 from September)
= 30 or 31 tokens
Add the three tokens from purchasing points, plus one token for October (you have never said whether you've gotten your token last month or not; the majority of players have). You're right on if you do have 35 tokens. -
HeroStats can be found here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/herostats/files/
I see that the last update was in September. I can't guarantee that it will still function with the current patch because new patches will often break HeroStats' functionality until Ineffable_Bob updates it, and there have been a considerable number of patches since September.
peterpeter: the one you're thinking of in CIT is the Titan Sentinel, which is for badge tracking and build exporting. HeroStats is a separate program and isn't maintained by the same people. -
+forward means "run forward while I am pressing this button/key, and stop when I release it."
++forward means "run forward when I press this button/key, continue forward even if I release the key - and stop when I press this button/key again". This is the same function as ++autorun. (There is no function that is just "autorun" - you will get an error.)
NJMorford wants the second one. -
28 for Loyal Customer, not 29 (Tenacious was #29).
((( Also, if you were at Loyal Customer, you would have 7 tokens for 7 years, not 5 tokens for 5 years. Either you weren't at Loyal Customer, or you weren't at 5 years. That is a confusing point in your post. )))
Additionally, if you were not going to get a veteran reward in September, it doesn't seem like you would be getting a token awarded FOR September. (Read back in the thread regarding the discussion between myself, Kosmos, and Snow Globe.)
You are definitely missing three tokens for three purchases of 1200 points (a total of 3960pp with bonuses -- additionally, it doesn't matter what you paid for them, only the points matter) if your total wasn't incremented. -
Quote:I have no idea what you're talking about, but it's not Enhancement Boosters. You can't get Enhancement Boosters from the architect system. The enhancement boosters are the only reason I want it changed
I just go do about 5 AE missions to get the tickets required to get all my enhancments at the highest LVL ... then forget about it for the next 2 LVLs I'm sure there's a farmer in there too that would let you go along for the ride assuming all you wanted was one or 2 runs for tickets. :P
They should allow you to send AE tickets to yourself in email. I would just get my 50 and transfere tickets to my lowbie so I could buy enhancments. More useful then influence at that LVL ... LOL

He has NPC text that says something about having to go do something, but I don't remember exactly. He also has NPC text as he just stands there on the phone right behind a mugging.

Likely will continue as I have been: VIP while I'm interested in the game and premium when my interest wanes. Since I signed up in 2005, I've taken a total of about 10 months off over the years.
Since I have no interest in the Incarnates system, the only thing I actually lose when I drop to premium is a poop-ton of character slots. And considering what an altoholic junky I am, this is a huge restriction on my play style. So that's basically why I'm still going to be subscribing for the majority of the time. -

You mean you didn't notice that you didn't have the little "countdown" buff that comes as a result of reinforcing your alignment?

Dammit, I just cleaned up my Mids folder with all its old installers a couple days ago. I could have definitely put up a megaupload of one that is certifiably clean, but it's lost to CrapCleaner's DOD-level recycle bin cleaning.

HTML5 is the plan, I don't know how much java/ajax/jquery/whatever else is being used, but HTML5 is the basis of the new planner. The way we have it planned is that it will be one program that can morph to fit smartphones of most sizes (if not all sizes), tablets, netbooks, laptops, and desktops alike. Can't *guarantee* that but that is the current plan.

Can we please, PLEASE get the copy tool back? How the HECK could it be broken for over two months?! HONESTLY!!! This is verging on pathetic. I hope you guys don't pay your crew that updates/maintains the copy tool and the server uptime webpage because they both suck.

Only for the Alpha slot using Alpha items. The other incarnate slots are obtained willy-nilly from every single iTrial, not specific ones. Additionally, the Alpha slot can be filled with iTrial salvage.

Mids' replacement is in the design stage. Don't hold your breath for any release dates, it's not even in soon(tm) stage yet.
Mids' will likely never be ported to any other platform due to is heavy reliance on Windows code in its base (e.g. .NET framework, etc.) -
Quote:If you're talking about how pressing the left and right mouse buttons together eventually turns on autorun (most people call WASD the "movement keys"), you can change that with a bind:I also am not overly fond of how pressing the forward movement keys for too long starts me on auto-run. I wish I knew how to shut that off. And I'm not talking about pressing R either. I'm talking about the default movement key.
/bind mousechord +forward
By default, the mousechord bind is for "forward_mouse" which is "run forward for 2 seconds, then turn on autorun."
If you literally are talking about W, the default forward movement key, it is already bound to +forward by default and should not be turning autorun on unless you have specifically bound it to do so. -
Quote:Please note that it's "Gameplay issues & bugs" and "Technical issues & bugs" -- not "Gameplay" and "Technical issues & bugs".Posting options: there are definitely many forums I can't post in, yes. They won't even open the edit window, while this one did. The Development forum seemed to be the only one that would be suitable for the feedback I wanted to give, and I didn't see any thread explicitly for feedback. Given that this sub-forum is the "Gameplay/Technical issues and bugs", and most of what I wanted to post was about gameplay, it seemed appropriate.
Quote:Difficulty: I've mainly set it at +1 level, 2 heroes equivalent, no elite bosses, no arch villains. Any lower on the level and it just doesn't have any challenge. Any lower on the heroes equivalent and it just seems empty. Elite bosses, no hope. As it stands, I typically Confuse about half of a group, then use an AoE sleep/disorient on them before laying into them one at a time, accepting that I'll lose XP due to mobs doing half of my damage. Any that wake up get Confused or slept again. This tactic seems to work with groups of up to 6-8 minions at +1 level, including the occasional lieutenant.
I have a mind control/empathy controller, the LEAST solo-capable set duo in the game for controllers, and I pretty much never die on her. Bosses don't give me any trouble, groups of enemies don't give me any trouble. I have my powers slotted for accuracy, damage, and recharge. I have pushed everything as close to Enhancement Diversification threshold as I can with SOs (I haven't begun playing with IOs on her - she is only level 23). I have no idea what else to tell you. If you have *any other* set than mind/emp, I can guarantee my controller performs worse than yours in a solo session, and I don't have even half the trouble you seem to be having.
Quote:Group combat: yes, it is a preference on my part. When I solo the bosses I'm capable of killing (bosses scaled more for solo players, based on the difficulty set when I enter the instance alone), I accept that I need to use tactics rather than button mashing. When I enter an instance with 7 other players, I'd rather see something that requires a little more coordination than what I've seen.
"Bosses scaled more for solo players" only exist if you are at x1, and have the "No bosses" option enabled. -
Quote:As your idea is to give four different melee sets to four different melee archetypes, instead of four melee sets to all four melee archetypes, yes, my misgivings are definitely with YOUR IDEA.Your misgivings are not with my idea, so they must be with representing the ATs so probably better for another thread.
As I said in the outset: "I am vehemently against archetype-exclusive sets. I don't care what brutes are "supposed" to be, I don't care what scrappers are "supposed" to be, if it's a melee set, all melee archetypes should get it. If it's a blasting set, all blasting archetypes should get it." -
I am vehemently against archetype-exclusive sets. I don't care what brutes are "supposed" to be, I don't care what scrappers are "supposed" to be, if it's a melee set, all melee archetypes should get it. If it's a blasting set, all blasting archetypes should get it.
I am willing to wait for some archetypes to get a set if they have to tweak it and make it fit some silly "concept" of the archetype. But with them specifically saying they'd like to port every set to every applicable archetype eventually, I cannot - WILL not - support creating archetype-specific sets.
Besides, they've said they'll port TW to stalkers later once they can once-over that set. (After all, what's subtle about Electric Melee/Electric Armor? NOTHING! So they can't use the "not subtle enough" excuse for TW with stalkers.)
And specifically to your suggestion, you can take your scrapper-exclusive staff melee and bite it. -

(GATE-keeper, your stuff on the market DOES transfer with you, because they are flagged with origination details that will change when you transfer servers. Otherwise Aggelakis on Justice would be able to pick up Aggelakis on Pinnacle's stuff, and that's definitely not the case.) -
You could put it in the suggestions forum if you're thinking it's more a suggestion.
