It *does* include the Power Slide? I've got a friend who plays EU and NA, says she doesn't have Power Slide even though she's applied a Deluxe code (that's how she started her EU account).
-
Quote:Prestige Power Slide comes with City of Heroes Collector's Edition. I'm not precisely sure what the OP is referring to with "Deluxe Edition", since there is no version of the game named that, but CoH CE is the closest thing I can think of.Quote:It may be called the Deluxe Edition over in Europe... kinda like a "Royale with Cheese".
It does not, however, have the Power Slide or other Collector's Edition goodies. -

The entire mission pauses during cutscenes, which are basically "demorecords playing during gameplay" (...sort of). No one attacks and no one gets hurt DURING a cutscene. If you have a DOT on you, it will continue for its duration. If you're standing in a damage patch, it will continue for its duration. Things like that. But the ambush triggers when the cutscene does, and doesn't move until the cutscene is done.

That is obviously not NCsoft; do you honestly believe an NCsoft rep would stoop to "dawg" and such informal language? They are steeped in marketing-speak. That is obviously a player posing as NCsoft, which is kind of dumb (and probably against some law or another, I have no idea, not a lawyer).

Quote:You could probably alter the angle of the statue shot to include a backdrop of the skyscrapers, instead of shooting straight-on to the side of the building.Serge paid me good money for the Icon product placement >.>
(I actually asked on Beta Testers "what three landmarks do you think of when you think of Steel Canyon?" and nobody mentioned the skyscrappers. The university, Icon and the hero statues were the most mentioned, so I went with that.) -
Quote:Yes.So far, I've done eight of those; I did not add the zone's name yet because I want to get them done before I spend a ton of hours hunting down fonts.

Yes, Training Room 1 on the server list is labeled TrainingRoom02 on the in-game list. No new tech to see here, folks.

If your supergroup name is offensive or trademarked, you can petition yourself to have it changed. Otherwise, the supergroup name belongs to the supergroup as a whole, not an individual person. One person should not be able to decide whether to rename a supergroup. (Although with the addition of Super Leader role, the line is getting hazier.)

I like 'em well enough, but they all make me think I have something smeared on my glasses. There are no clear details except Red's lightning. If you managed to clear them up, these would be pretty epic.
-
Quote:I *hate* Depth of Field. As a glasses-wearer, it looks like either a) I'm not wearing my glasses, or b) something got smeared on my glasses. I turn it off immediately, even if I'm on someone else's computer.*edit*
You know, all you guys running Depth of Field just end up making me regret putting on glasses, because everyting is always fuzzy in your pics anywayThey can turn it back on if they really want to, but usually they go, "Wow! I didn't know the world could look so clear!" and leave it off.

I loaded them up and loaded up the game...made a new really-ugly-random-costume hero since that was the fastest way to get to get to a new loading screen... Man, even without the text, Outbreak's loading screen looks great! Logged into my 50 and buzzed around to some of the other new screens, and they all look similarly awesome. I don't like Depth of Field at all, but I can deal with it on my loading screens since I only look at them for a very short time.
edit: I just noticed you used the updated world map, with all the writing and the new tram line stops... that is very subtle and makes the update even better! -
Do we need to uninstall your other version before installing this version, if we're using your Non-Ultra version already?
edit: also, I am incredibly happy to see these as full-screen images instead of black-bar styled. Awesome job!! -
Actually PLAYING City does very little to your up- and download rates. People (including me in the past) play this game on dialup, to show how very little it takes to play the game.
It's only the downloading of patches/updates that takes any length of time/bandwidth. -
I've been sigged. o.o; And not at my best of times, either... *contemplate*

The first couple days of open beta is always terribly, terribly hard on the login server. There's hundreds of folks pushing at the doors, waiting for them to open so they can get their goodies.
-
Are you downloading from the right site?
http://www.cohplanner.com
I just downloaded the installer fine. -
I reported them to Zazzle, which may mean the person's store will at least be taken down while Zazzle investigates.

There is an official thread for this, and it has been hashed and rehashed and un-hashed and re-rehashed, derailed and brought back on topic... please go there and post about it. You're wasting space in PQ. >:(

This thread's title is awesome. I expounded on it in the title of my response.

Quote:There are still forty stickies in the announcement forum! *foams at the mouth*I love this idea too, it's a constant project whenever I see a big mass of stickies. This is one area where the OCR team can really use your folks help, so pm me (as moderator 08) when you see redundant or outdated stickies.
Thanks,
edit: Actually, there are forty-three stickies in the announcement forum now! *dies of foam-mouth* -
Oops. I forgot VU2010 is silence on join (it cuts way down on spam), send a message to an online operator. In the Friends list, select the dropdown and select VU2010. Send a message to any global with a star beside it, those are Ops.

I remember it. I thought it looked pretty ridiculous, and it suffered from the same weird animation bug that squid Kheldians have had since their release - it takes extra animation time to return to a forward-facing position. Interruptable, but if you're cruising around, it was really incongruous to go from a hard bank to a slow turn to face forward again.

All of my toons have CTRL+N bound to "team Hi, Mom!" and CTRL+M bound to "team Is this thing on?" -- I typically push one or both during a cut scene, even if I'm solo, but only once... mostly to amuse myself, I don't care about the rest of the players' opinions on it. It amuses me. Additionally, if a person isn't spamming the bind seventeen times, other people's custom binds amuse me as well.

I shuffled a couple characters around on the lower-pop servers, and I moved a character from Virtue to Infinity. Otherwise, didn't do any low-pop to high-pop transfers.
