Death By CutScene!
The entire mission pauses during cutscenes, which are basically "demorecords playing during gameplay" (...sort of). No one attacks and no one gets hurt DURING a cutscene. If you have a DOT on you, it will continue for its duration. If you're standing in a damage patch, it will continue for its duration. Things like that. But the ambush triggers when the cutscene does, and doesn't move until the cutscene is done.

Cimerora Mission: "Accept Marcus' task to prove yourself" from Marcus Valerius. I wish the devs would tweak the mission so that the second ambush doesn't trigger at the same time as the cutscene. I have had squishies defeated or seroiusly mangled because my screen was locked into the boss rant.
