Glad Armor is a global so stops working if you're -3 to the IO.
Panacea is a proc so stops working when you don't have access to the power. Panacea's level doesn't matter but lower level ones can be slotted earlier and used through more of a character's career if you're ever looking to create a new character and hand over IOs. -
Quote:I am judging by posts in the beta forums, not the mac forums. The majority of the complainants have stated a huge improvement with the last couple patches. The biggest complaint I've seen lately is the lack of font, which is not a show-stopping bug and will be kludge-fixed (before being actually fixed). Are you playing on a Mac? And do you mind if I ask you what version of the OS you are on?
The situation you are describing is not what I see reported in the majority of the posts on the Mac forum and elsewhere. And it is certainly not my own experience. Any information you can share about your set-up might really be helpful in solving this.
Thanks.
Yes, there are still people having crashing issues, a lot of them unrelated to the store (which was beyond the scope of my post). Yes, there are still some people unable to access the store reliably. -
Huh, I never saw Issen's reply to my directions before.
Anyway: I can verify it does work because that's how I got my live directory updated in 3 minutes the last time we had beta testing. Slap the piggs over, tell the Launcher to repair my live installation, good to go! -
Can you not play the game? Not show stopping. Further fixes are in the works.

As above, but you can also spend tokens in the consumable tier 9 level (if you're up the shrub that far) and get some new boosters.
-
Accessing the store on a mac doesn't cause a complete lockup for the majority of mac users. There are another couple store-related issues (none worth pitching a fit over, annoying but not show-stopping) but the majority of store-related lockups were fixed in one of the last couple patches.

Paragon Points are purchased in store for use on the Paragon Market. Paragon Points for a VIP sub are awarded monthly on your "billing day" (same day each month even if you have a multi-month sub).
Paragon Reward Tokens are granted for various reasons, and used on the Paragon Rewards Program, the extension of the old Veteran Rewards Program.
Let's all clean up our terminology so we don't confuse each other and newbies. -
Quote:Correct. You can havePretty sure I've had the Morality tip drop with three alignment tips in my list.
The three tips at a time limit is just for Alignment tips.
3 alignment tips
2 morality tips
1 halloween tip
(rogues/villains only: 1 Mortimer Kal tip) (maybe also vigilantes? unsure) -
Congratulations on finding your way into the Tech/Gameplay Issues subforum, where we discuss bugs, techie silliness, computer issues, and stuff. Unfortunately, you took a wrong turn somewhere, because the Suggestions forum is several down from here.
Good luck, though!

I have only seen it happen on Freedom, except for once on Champion where some dude announced a pay-for run, which was responded to with a bunch of lols and a couple offers of free runs.

Quote:Heck, they don't even have to spend $5, if they can find a good deal on a box set. The first time any retail code is added to a game account, a token is granted (only one token total, not per box)... and I've seen box sets as low as $1.50. Just "caveat emptor"...make sure your purchase says "factory sealed" or "unused code", or you have no recourse after purchase if you've been bilked. This is exactly what the set up is. Free is very limited, but if they buy $5.00 worth of Points, the smallest amount possible, they become Premium and have more chat channels available. (Not all of them, but tells, SG, and a couple of others. I think they need to fill Tier 3 to have globals and all the other channels open.

Hardly what the person making the claim meant. "Endless spam" only pops up when there are significant potential buyers. A tiny, tiny portion of the player base does not make "endless spam" happen.

Quote:The US servers consolidated in 2010 -- the EU servers joined ours in 2011.Interesting, when did they move Pinn from VA? Granted, this is assuming that the 7 year old conversation of server locations was accurate back then...

Even if you didn't accept a mission at all, it still puts it in your story list. I don't know why. It's a terrible way to do contacts.

You have to go back to being a hero to complete the arc, though you can drop down to vigilante again since it is classified as a hero. Then you can go back to villain if you want.
(No, you didn't go through rogue in your fall from grace. It goes Hero <-> Vigilante -> Villain <-> Rogue -> Hero) -

Not much time wasted if it's just a matter of hooking an NPC store option up. Can't imagine it took more than maybe an hour.

LOL...why would someone buy Paragon Market items from someone random schmoe off the net, when they can buy it straight from the game, which comes with purchase security? Scammers are not stupid, they won't sell things for a loss. They'll continue to sell inf to stupid people with more money than sense, which cannot be purchased on the market. They'll continue to sell PLs to stupid people with more money than time, which cannot be purchased on the market. They won't purchase items on the market and then turn around to sell them, because there is no way to profit off that - you can't sell them for more than the store is selling them for, or people won't buy them....you can't sell them for less than the store is selling them for, or you are losing money.

Quote:It's one costume slot if you have one character. I have over 100 characters....that 800 point purchase? It's over 100 costume slots for me.Yes, yes I do.
It is a costume slot.
It should not be the same price as an entire playable powerset for ONE costume slot. That's TWO MONTH'S worth of VIP points for ONE costume slot.
I would not protest it being even 400 points, but let's get real here. 800 points is way too much. -
I know this was posted eight months ago, but I just wanted to correct this person who no longer cares if they're right or wrong: Independence Port already has a ferry system, to and from Striga/Talos. Adding another boat or two to the list (IP North, IP Central, IP South, Striga, Talos) is much less work than putting a new tram in and running tram lines up the zone (far more art time than, effectively, copy-pasting a boat).

Quote:Yes, for 400 points ($5) you can get the "Steampunk Costume Set". I'm not 100% sure if it's already bundled on the store (there are some costume bundles not available yet on the store) but it should be there sometime soon after launch if it's not there at launch.Do we know if the costume pieces also come bundled? For instance, the steampunk pack. I didn't buy the pack, because I didn't really want the power, but I like the costume pieces. Do I have to buy each costume piece separately, or is there an option for all the steampunk pieces?

Oh, ****. I had been wondering where he'd gone off...
RIP, guy...have fun spamming the others who have passed on with cool afterlife news.
