Oh look, they cover male breast cancer. Wow... isn't it amazing when you take the chip off your shoulder and actually find out about something! This isn't a gender issue, just the fact that breast cancer effects far more women than men, therefore the focus is on female screening. The research into the causes and treatment of Breast Cancer is non-gender specific and benefits everyone.

Stealth + Hide + IO Stealth in travel power also puts you at the Stealth cap which is pretty useful if you plan to PvP, if you are PVE then hide on it's own is fine (but as you say phase shift is pretty handy)

Other than that Stamina (as with most characters) as if you are out of endurance you're dead.

Yes, in a violent society such as Paragon City, there will be serious collateral damage and lives will be lost (notice however that heroes NEVER kill anyone outside of RP.) The use of deadly force would obviously be sanctioned against people who are controlling giant monsters that roam the city, such as the Clockwork etc but, once that person had been brought to book, where they alive, then the judicial process should take over. Should the suspect be killed during the course of such an event, then an inquiry would need to take place to determine if the arresting forces acted within their jurisdiction.

I cannot see anything in BS's story that shows that he acted within his authority nor can I see any sign of repercussion or remorse in his actions.

Personally I think that either he needs to be moved to CoV as some kind of Vigilante NPC/Trainer or at the very least needs to be rebooted by the powers that be.

(edited to add that I fully agree with Standoff that Frostfire got a really tough deal and I think he needs to be rehabilitated.)

I agree with you, but fundamentally (and I know you get this, but I wanted to say it anyway), no matter what powersets you choose and what you bring to your characters actions by RPing, we live in a MMO world set up in such a way that violence is always the answer.

Because of this I don't think this game is really set up to provide a moral message on the rehabilitation/judicial consequences of a vigilanty.

True, but an MMO where your powersets address the underlying causes of crime and villainy just isn't going to catch on. An "Improve Education/Champion Racial Tollerance" scrapper is going to level really slowly... not to mention he/she will suck at PvP

I get the feeling there's more to a secret identity than this, so they don't want to rule out doing it better in the future (be that in COX or a different game).

Secret identities have a whole raft of consequences in superhero terms that don't fit into "where you log out". I would hope that if they implemented Secret Identities they would have to be something you would need to maintain, build and nurture. You'd have to show up for work, stop people from finding out who you really are, take steps to prevent people who have found out from telling the world... who knows what else.

I just think it's too big a part of super hero culture for NCNC to blow the whole thing on an off line reward system.

I love the lackey system, it's one of those things that all MMOs should have (maybe lots do, there are plenty I've not played).

Anyhow, I was thinking last night on how you could pep up the lackey system a bit and I was wondering about "Lackey Paowers"

A single temporary power granted to the Lackey/Sidekick for the duration they are paired with their boss. The type of power could be dependant on the AT of the Boss, so (just off the top of my head).

Mastermind - Lackey gains 1 Tier 1 Pet
Corruptor - Lackey gains a single target snare
Dominator - Lackey gains a Ranged attack
Brute - Lackey gains a melee attack
Stalker - Lackey gains a stealth power

Since you LK is already 1 level down on everyone else I don't think it would be game breaking or anything power wise, but particullary for low level lackeys it might make them a bit more useful and fun to play, and might give some interesting combinations depending on what AT you paired up with what. Since there is no LK-ing (as far as I know) in PVP the whole balance issue should be preserved.

I'm sure there are simillar hero sidekick powers that could work too, maybe a single target heal for sidekicks paired with defenders, that sort of thing?

Well this sort of thread just shows up everything that's wrong in this game. Sure they're smaller than you, and blue, and french, but that doesn't mean you should just say no to them, they have rights too you know. Really... where do you get off encouraging this sort of size-ist, anti-blue message filled with hate just becuase they are different. It's not on and I for one will not stand for ...

To be fair, it was fairly silly to start off with.

1. Stamina
That joyous moment in almost every characters life when you have 3 slot stamina and can finally beat the [censored] out of people for hours on end without that annoying 'out of stamina' noise.

2. Focus
The king of the Claws pool, great damage, blows them off thier feet, great for runners, and taking that extra mob out of the fight for that vital few seconds while you kill everyone else. With 1 cooldown reduction chains perfectly too.

3. Placate
Ahh placate. How many times has it saved my [censored]! Not to mention made Boss mobs a breeze, especially with 3 slots of cooldown reduction. An Assassin's Strike every minute or so makes mince meat of the toughest boss.

4. Instant Healing
Not sure how long it lasts but it just makes you feel utterly invincible.

5. Air Superiority
I think I'm the only person who likes this power! Focus->Strike->Air Superiority->Slash rinse and repeat. Chains perfectly, they'll just keep bouncing until their dead... you won't have a mark on you as long as you keep the timing right.

6. Fly
Yes, Fly, for no other reason that Flying is just inherently cool. I don't care that other travel powers are more uber for PvP or whatever... I can FLY! Love it even more since wings came along.

7. Hide
So not only do I get to Fly but I can be invisible too! My super hero dreams of childhood are fulfilled!
