I might join this if I decide to play GR. I have prepurchased GR all though and probably I'll at least check it out when it hits live.
Currently, Global Agenda is taking all my playtime and it has so much potential. -
1) End diaspora and share server list with Euro and USA players.
2) Strongly consider merging of Defiant and Union servers in Europe. -
Quote:/signedIt would be nice to be able to cap resistances on my brutes and scrappers as easily as I cap defense. Some characters I would probably prefer it. Can't imagine it happening though, sounds like a ton of work.
We need new sets full of +resistance, + damage, + recharge.
Minor +5-10%, Huge +10-15%, Ultimate +15-20% resistance bonus. -
Seriously, What would we loose if we played together with our cousins living in USA? Or they could come over to Europe?
-
EU Servers need to be merged and server list shared with Usa.
-
Same problem, blaster dgm numbers are far too high.

SS is fine as it is. I frown upon comments about the balance in this game.
Come on, if we wanted balance we would play chess, this is a retarted MMO and exact balance is impossible to achieve.
Currently, CoX has horrible game mechanics full of loopholes. Whole ruleset is bad and old fashioned in comparison to other games (Guild Wars, EVE Online), but this game's theme is good and smashing is fun.
It is needless to say the games I mentioned above are focused in PvP gaming, while CoX is a PVE game. And in those cames you could customise your builds more freely. In future, most successful MMO's will have more free customization of builds.
In CoX certain combinations are more powerful than others in certain situations. PVE in CoX is easy as hell, there is no AT that could perform well or uber well with powerful build and set items in the hands of skilled player. SS is a easy mode, you dont need to think much when you smash and go on.
Instead of wasting dev resources to "balance" minor things, they should really focus on new content and major improvements in this game. Cox is slowly dying without those aspects.
And finally, Scrappers dont need SS they aleady have MA which is considered to be their's "SS". -

Quote:And if we get Tanker epics for some horribly wrong reason?Wooo! Now that it's been Officialy Answered, I have no worries about bringing a Scrapper to Redside:
Looks like I'll also be taking quite a few of my Villains to Vigilante, doing a respec, and then taking them back to Villain. Body Mastery Brutes, here I come!! -
After 6th respec with my "triform" build and 3rd respec of my human build, after spending millions and millions of influence to my PB, after spending countless hours playing Mids Online, I would never ever play anything this deeply and with such dedication than my Peacebringer.
And when I look my current builds I know they will get redone over and over again, until I have found what I am looking for and this will take a lot of time and enormous amount of influence. To your orginal question, are Kheldians really worth it? Hell no, unless you are have something wrong in your brainbox or you are looking for something special -
Werner, posted one of his builds just earlier into

Those numbers are pretty insane -
Thx Umbral, this is exactly what I was looking for.

PB dream buff
- +5-10 % damage to skills
- Remove KB'a and add KD'a to these skills.
(Knock Down is Knock Back of less than magnitude of 0.75, If I figured it right)
- Combine human form shield skills to one big resistance skill.
- Add skill that improves mez protection / resistances to status protections/resistances.
- Remove hitpoints drain from light form.
- Add some more orbs to Photon seeker skill in a way that you will send new energy orbs continously to targets during whole duration of this skill.
- Add Blazing aura styled AEO dot skill into dwarf form.
- Add skill that provides debuff. -
Quote:Yes, I am going to check this out with Mids. Yes we are in same SGZorn, you can buy IO's that negate knockback in case you didnt know.
As you are in my SG I might be persuaded to put my hand in my pocked for you if you cannot afford one?
Edit: Also the illusion of damage in nova form isn't such an illusion, with two fast AoE's you can give a lot of blasters a run for their money and only the really AoE heavy ones will outdamage you enough to matter.
Lets talk about it when we meet online. -
Quote:So I feared. Flying is not an option to me, everytime I do it I feel that I am wearing fook me boots . I just cannot stand the idea of flying around and fighting with melee oriented attacks. Also skill that burns out my all endurance is not an option to me because it leaves your toon too vulnerable. I guess I am pretty much still banging my head to wall with pure human PB and there is no solution unless there will be developmental intervention to skills . I stick with my dual form build, it is playable but wont shine when compared to other AT's. Nova damage is ok and sometimes I feel that I can outdamage poor playing blasters but I guess it is just an illusion of grandeur.Knockback has never been an issue for me. The only time I am on the ground is when I use Solar Flare and since that has good knockback that pretty much clears the area of anyone that would knock me back. If I do not open with SF I will open with Pulsar which will stun enemies and I can then follow up with Build Up and Solar Flare. I stay in Combat Flight most of the time.
Also with my recharge I can keep Pulsar and Solar Flare up very often so they are ready every group and sometimes multiple times in a group. I also use Photon Seekers very often and that mitigates damage while dealing realy good damage. Right now I have her doing Daedelus' arc and last night against some 52s she was able to do 100+100+100 to the near by targets when I used Photon Seekers.
If you need some advice on your build just send me a PM with any questions you may have and I would be happy to help you if I am able.
That pretty much sums it up exactly.
I have max slotted Nova and Dwarf for set bonuses. Going to finish those and probably then switch back to Warshade which seems to have lot of more potential than PB. -
Novella, thanks for showing your build. Seems very interesting.
I am curious how to you handle knockbacks? When I tested pure human PB not having KB protection was unbearable to me.
So, I planned something like this with normal IO's and I am not very happy to it. So I am pretty much banging my head into wall with human PB atm.

There is no real goal for my PB yet. I just got it into level 50 playing mostly with dual build (Nova/Dwarf) human form being travel/stealth/healer, while it is quite fun to play I am not happy to it's performance yet. So I am very interested in what people have achieved with peacebringers generally.
-
Quote:I would be very interested in seeing Mids version of your PB build =)I have noticed that lately a lot of Warshades are popping up and I can only assume that is because they do a lot of AoE damage and people love to use them for farming, etc. I love my Peacebringers more because as you said they are self sufficient. I have my Peacebringer slotted for +rech (80% global + 70% Hasten) and being able to heal very rapidly and have perma-EB is just love. With all the tools included in the powerset its just so much goodness that I sometimes feel like I am cheating.
When I first made a Kheldian it was a Warshade and I loved her because she was more Controller-like with an element of Blaster. I played her hard and when I got ot Eclipse I was just in awe. From level 38 to 46 it was bliss, but then it just got boring playing her because of the constant need to have bodies around to keep myself in top condition.
I deleted her and stayed away from Kheldians for a long time until I got that Warshade itch again and made another one. This time I was even more into her than last time and ran her in TFs, teams, anything involving exp. Again boredom struck so I deleted her a level 39 this time.
After always avoiding Peacebringers I decided to make one in place of my recently deleted Warshade and let me tell you.............I've never looked back. Aura Star has been a beast from day one and mixes the beauty of all the things I like. She doesn't have the Controlling ability of a Warshade but she has enough tools that she can completely negate a group minus Bosses (I kill them while the others are out of the fight) all the while not requiring anything or anyone to keep her upright.
Its probably safe to say that outside of Night Widow's, the Peacebringer (human-only) is my favorite AT on the game without a doubt. -

Quote:I don't mind a terrible introduction in a virtual community focusing in superhero toonies. But when I buy a product I want quality. Cox was very promising, but little by little it is starting to taste sour. There are still bugs around and devs seem to be a bit clueless what they are doing. I left Eve online for same reasons (played from 2004), the quality of game specially quality of PvP and stantards of the community degenerated to level that I did not want to pay for it anymore.I hear ya. I noticed the damage reduction as well. One thing I will point out is that you are fighting a Freak Tank which is HIGHLY resistant to lethal damage.
Anyone remember my main complaint about claws? Yep, the damage type being highly resisted.
A Claws/ Brute is still very fun since Spin wasn't affected all that much. I still plan to take my Claws/Inv brute to 50 and make him a 3000 HP monster. Iron Puma is going to be a beast!
Oh, and that's a terrible way to introduce yourself to the boards bro...being your first post and all.
Maybe, this game is slowly starting to die, at least servers seems to be very empty here in Europe. Will be interesting to see if Going Rogue will restore this game.
I dont really mind this tuning with claws, I am too green to analyze it deeply! I was just surprised that tuning was not made during beta time, before it went to live. Nowadays it seems to be rule that live patch is beta patch, which is sickening. I absolutetly hate when unfinshed stuff goes live. -
New brute set made me actually start a brute and now it got nerfed already and I need to delete it. Is this normal way of things go in COX?
Clueless devs design something and then realize that they made a mistake and hit with nerf stick? What a waste of time.
