Quote:Hi everyone,
Marauder is not replacing Ms. Liberty in Atlas Park. However, he will appear somewhere with the use of phasing technology.
If more emphasis is going to be placed on phasing, I REALLY hope you guys resolve some of the "quirks" with it...like not being able to Recall a teammate in Atlas who is 50' away due to being on the edge of an invisible phase border, for example... -
Quote:Inquiring (and frustrated) minds definitely want to know...At some point in the past, when a set went on sale, you could buy individual pieces at sale prices. Last time I checked, the individuals were not marked on sale - which I find really, really obnoxious. (Pretty much the only things I'd ever buy would be single procs).
Does anyone know if this is just policy now, or was that a fluke? -
Quote:It could be I simply misinterpreted the follow-on comments. The phrasing of "we have many items to give away" (and other numerous red name quotes) had me under the possibly erroneous interpretation that this particular handout will be for a limited time, and then they will move on to the other items. As they stated twitter is the focus right now ("although we might be on servers giving things away"), I am under the impression that those of us without access to twitter or the game during the day will be left out. This was in the OP by Hit Streak. You don't need Twitter except if you want to get it using the Twitter method. There will be alternatives. If you're upset that there isn't an alternative right now, I'm sorry.
I could be wrong. (shrug) -
You are aware twitter access and cox forum access are not the same thing, correct?

Quote:Or as a more reasonable person would put it:By the looks of this thread - it's not something I'd doubt.
This entire thread breaks down to, "I want something I can't have that I know we all have the same methods of obtaining, however I don't think I can get it so if I won't have a way of obtaining it no one should be able to."
"Some of us have ZERO access to the only method to get these items. We would like an alternative method, even if it occurs at a later date."
I cannot follow your repeated inability to understand that some of us do NOT have this access you continue to refer to. I don't. I would like an alternative. I have zero concern that other people can get it through the current method; great for them! But I would like to have the chance to get it AS WELL (for sale in the market at a later date, as one example method). -
Quote:Hence why I would like it re-visited. If taunt duration designs are open to revisit, it would be nice for a at least a pass back through the original sets for strange things like this. There's a fairly simple reason for this, actually. The "legacy" armor sets: Fire, Invuln, Ice, Stone, Regen, SR, Dark. You'll notice that almost none of them has "comprehensive" status protection. That's because in the early game, almost no enemy mobs had any fear or confuse powers to use against us, and therefore we didn't need protection from them. When CoV came out, there were a handful of mobs that were given confuse/fear powers, so new sets were created with those in mind, but the older sets were never revamped.
I don't expect all the old sets to be completely comprehensive, but some stuff was just silly even when it was launching (thinking back to some explanations BaBs offered of why Shield's protections were so complete). -
I'd like a review of the various status protections between powersets. For example, I am still confused why Shield was given fear protection, but Invul (either in Unyielding or Unstoppable) and Granite (you are a nearly indestructible rock) were not. Just one example...there may be others.

Nevermind....question answered.

Also adding -maxinactivefps 5
(or 15, or whatever you want) tends to help with system resources. -
Plus, scrapper Blazing Aura being the only one of the three not having taunt probably has something to do with the behavior as well.

It's not just you, and it's not just leveling up. Running tip missions last night with two different level 50's, I had it happen if I completed the tip missions very quickly. Oddly, I also occasionally had the "daily fame" bubble not increase even though the X/10 progress did. Unfortunately, I am not sure if these two pieces of strange behavior hit on the same missions or not.

Thanks for the replies, all. That was what I was expecting, but I wanted to confirm.

When summoning mastermind pets, what set/IO bonuses do pets inherent (if any)?
Some specific ones I would love to know about before assembling: set defense bonuses, Steadfast's unique defense, the Gladiator unique defense
Thanks for any help,

Quote:I have a 5870. Still running the 10.8 drivers, which have proved to be rock-solid. I tried several newer versions; each eventually wound up having issues so I decided to stick with this version until I actually need to change. I've had zero crashes of any type for months, even playing several games that happen to be very-crash prone (as in devlopers forced to admit they really shouldn't have released them in that state). Still, zero crashes.Does anyone else kind of notice how when people complain about the freezing they always say they have an ati hd 5xxx series card?
I have a friend with a high end 4xxx series ATi card. He upgraded his drivers and started having tons of problems (in this game and others). Rolled back to the 10.8's...all problems went away.
We play for several hour sessions on Monday together, trials and all. No issues. -
My 5870 still has the stuttering every few seconds with the 11.5 drivers after following some suggestions here on the settings. 10.8 and 11.4 both work fine. Just another data point.

Quote:Well, as my post said "you left out the following patch notes," my statements were simply that people should be told of changes being made to powers. The fact that people in various forum threads concluded that the "only hitting one target" was a bug, before it was confirmed, does not eliminate the need to post a patch note...even one saying it is known issue that is being worked on.Everyone had widely concluded it was a bug before BS posted, it hadn't been confirmed, but "might as well have been". The 10 second rule was more what I was talking about. Most everyone knows that's how all the procs work, and since it seemed you were advocating for the Incarnate proc(s) to be immune to that rule, hence my comment. The "No matter how much you wine about it" was more directed at the multitude of complaining and whining in the thread, and was a general response, not a specific one. It was a "royal you".
I in no way that I can see said that the 10sec rule should be eliminated. I said that hitting one target per 10sec was worth letting people know, as it is both a change from the current function of the power AND not similar to any other proc effect.
If I had wanted the 10sec rule removed, I would have said something like "and it has a 10sec rule that should be eliminated." -
Post removed for being pointless.

Quote:Please learn to parse the language better before asserting what someone is saying. As my original post was posted BEFORE an acknowledgment that the new functionality was bugged, I believe it should have been in the patch notes. As it has now been acknowledged as a bug, it should still appear in patch notes to clarify that the effect is being worked on.You left off the fact that's a BUG, and is not working as intended (the one target effect). The 10 second proc limit is intended, and it will stay that way, no matter how much you whine about it.
As my post emphasized in three places the "one target effect," it is fairly easy to conclude that was the main area that I was discussing.
As to you asserting a single post on the matter is a "no matter how much you whine about it" post, I guess you shall simply have to treat every post ever made as a whine if it points out a patch notes flaw. -
You left off "Interface Incarnate Powers are now useless in damage auras and rains." Please note, I am not referring to the correction of the proc on every tick, I am referring to the "will only work on 1 enemy, rains will only proc 1 time per casting (again impacting 1 enemy), auras will only proc once per 10 seconds (again impacting 1 enemy)."

6 Runs for me on my defender...6 uncommons. Sigh...at least they can be downgraded now.
-
Quote:So awarding 60%+ uncommons was not caught in beta? Did something break after launch, or does this point to faulty data mining?
- All throughout beta and since Issue 20 went live, weve been tracking data on the reward system. After evaluating the data since the launch of Issue 20 weve found that players are being rewarded with the Uncommon table more frequently than we anticipated. An adjustment for this that improves the availability and frequency of Common, Rare and Very Rare salvage will be included in an upcoming patch.

Does anyone know how to "help" the new launcher find a beta or test install that it missed? I don't see a way of manually adding an install to its list.
Thanks for any help. -
