  1. At the moment I have a soft-capped everything except psi/toxic/M/R/A scrapper build which I copied out from the scrapper forum. I was using it as a template to get a more all-rounded soft-capped /Inv but to no avail. I know there bound to be some lacking in the psi area but does anyone have a nearly all soft-capped build that I use as a reference?

    I have heard that it can be done. I just need some guildence. Any primary will do for now.

  4. My suggestion: A Forced Auto Summon command. For instance /summonpets. In which case the pets will appear right next to you no matter what, complete with upgrade if applicable.

    Another suggestion for pets going or not going into melee, or staying or not staying at range, is a Forced Goto command. In which case the pets will goto THEN STAY at the exact very location of your choosing. They will not move from that location afterwards, may be by disabling the pets' movement or by giving them a 10000mag immo with that Forced Goto command.

    I have been making the same suggestions from time to time when I see posts like this one.

  9. I have tested a TW/Dark over on the beta just a while ago. Leaving TW aside for now, I have to say running those toggles from Dark and Tough and Weave uses so much end. At one time, my character had trouble even to stand up, let alone fight someone. And I have taken Energy Mastery as well.

    Of course, that character is not IO-ed out yet. I am sure the problem will not be that bad once it is IO-ed and proc-ed out.

    Still, any suggestions for end management specifically for Dark Armour from any of the Dark Armour out there?

    MM Farm Build

    You could just about do a firm farm with demon/therm. You can keep the difficulty high (e.g. +3 or +4) but try to reduce the size of the mob (e.g. x3 or x4). You would be farming for hard targets instead of numbers.

  13. I do want to like /regen on brute but I understand this set the least. Thank you very much for the input.

    Would anyone be kind enough to advise me on slotting /regen and what bonus(es) to aim for? I drafted one on Mids aiming for a ridiculous amount of recharge using tons of PvP recipes (it's Mids, I don't need inf to do crazy build there). Most people aim for +def. But when I do it, it feels like I have to sacrifice a lot. I have yet to decide what for primary yet. But if I am brave enough, it may be TW.

    Another thing: how to deal with -end or end drain? On my 40 something /regen stalker, I struggle a bit to deal with those sappers. I normally will AS them first but sometimes there are more than one of them (and those from Freaks do rez themselves). Loading up +end proc of all kinds seems like an idea. But does it help? Brute has a taunt aura and punchvoke. I would imagine it would be hard to avoid being sapped left right and centre.

  14. You can also consider getting the KB prot toggle from the Super Jump set. Otherwise, Hover is a good alternative.
  15. I want to level a /regen brute. In fact I want a rather tough and very survivable brute. But with my limited experience with /regen (a lv40+ stalker and a lv20+ brute), I find it quite frustrating at times while tanking because the HP goes down too quickly. Regen is very susceptible to -recharge and -end. Most people just put up more defence to get around the problem but without any external help and Barrier, it is still annoying.

    I want to like /regen but I am not how well the set works. What do you guys think? Also, I keep hearing how survivable /dark armour is. So, how does the two compare?

    Similar packet but instead of a new appearance for the character, a new appearances for the pets.

  18. As far I can see so far, most people play the new Street Justice on a Scrapper. I made a StJ Brute and am thinking of try it on a Stalker.

    Anyway, I am rather interested in know your views on this new set on the three available ATs. Something like, is it obviously better on a particular AT but not the other, etc.

  20. Add some electric or energy damage to the tasers or some toxic damage to the webs. Caltrops comes with damage anyway. There, damage (of course, modify the values bringing in line with other sets).

    I do believe that this can be done cheaply just by recycling some existing powers.
  21. I have not spent much time on BR but from the little experience I have BR/Traps is probably one of the best combos with BR. I suppose most of good comes from Traps. But if you want a BR, Traps is certainly a good match.

    Traps defender would have some good buff and debuff; and also rather click-free during combat - you set up most of the traps in advance anyway. Traps corruptor would play very similarly except with lesser buff and debuff. It has Scourge though. Both would do well soloing and teaming.

    Personally, I would go for BR/Traps Corruptor. I would happily trade the differences in buff and debuffs for more damage.
  22. I know that the devs are working on a new set for Dom (not sure if Controller gets it as well since I only follow the news here loosely). I am happy to wait for it.

    I recently 'spring cleaned' some of my characters and suddenly something crossed my mind: why can't we group together some of the existing powers (like Web Grenade, Caltrops) and some temp/inherent powers (like Taser, Stun Grenade, Smoke Flash) to make a new controll set in a gadgeteer theme? I know this must have been suggested a thousands times but I just don't understand why it hasn't happened yet?

    Actually I have this idea vaguely after the last proliferation list came out. And yes, I was as shocked as most others when Dom got nothing. Then I thought the devs might not want to undercut into the uniqueness and exclusivity of those temp powers. But after weeks of playing (iTrial mostly), for some reasons I don't see it that way any more. Besides, none of those powers I mentioned above seem to be 'that good' to have to be seperated as a temp power.

    I suppose the ST and AoE immos can use Web Grenades; ST and AoE holds can use Tasers; add a Smoke Flash or Caltrops in as a soft control; (modified) Gun Drone as pet; and a few more in between; then done - quick and easy new set of recycling stuff.

    How hard can it be?
  23. I just want to see what other people are thinking in relation to those auras.

    Since the introduction of the Path Aura, I always want it to be independent from the rest of the regular auras. I have few concepts where I wish I could use both path and regular auras.

    What do you think?

  25. /Traps is too fiddly and relatively more localised. You better off just blast at full strength with a blaster then fiddling around with the traps.
