Good point! Especially since my love of villainy is partly fuelled by my love of mayhem missions.

Let's just say I will probably never see the parts of Paragon City I can't vandalise again.
  2. My one (and only) hero will be crossing over permanently.

I can't imagine I would want to make any of my villains into rogues, so I probably will never see Paragon City again.
  3. This is Tanya Litvyak, my first Mastermind.

  4. Many Happy Returns, Mr. Miller!
  5. Alasdair

    Demons Shield

It would seem the Devil really is in the details.
  6. He couldn't breathe in that thing!

  7. I want the new animated tails system to be used to give us a huge ringlets hairstyle:

Also some big ribbons added to the belt and head details. ^_^
  8. So the club is yet another Nemesis machination. But to what end?
To force all the heroes and villains to do nothing but erotic role-pla.......oh no!
  9. I have one scrapper who is definitely going to change. Other than that, I doubt I will be doing the reverse with any other character.

Though the very fact that you can change may well encourage me to make another hero.
  10. Just idle speculation, I wonder if we will obtain costume options derived from those demon models. They are extremely good.

There are the animated tails of course, but I'm thinking of the selection that accompanied the release of CoV: Robotic feet and new gloves, combat jacket and pants or the zombie-themed components.
They all let Masterminds resemble their minions to an extent.

Just the body texture alone would be fantastic.
  11. I'd love to see some powers for Dominators that use technology and weapons rather than fantastical inherent powers.

Things like web and cryogenic grenades (with both single and AoE versions) as well as other technology-derived powers for a primary.

And 'Shotgun & Sword' for a secondary.
I say shotgun rather than pistol since it seems to better suit some of the cone and AoE powers you generally see in Dominator secondaries.

Though I'm not going to be holding my breath. ^__^
  12. My first Dual-pistols attempt was a time-traveling inventor from 1895. When fired, his temporal flintlocks would jump back in time a split-second and be instantly reloaded.
Gold-tinted electricity manipulation seemed to fit the theme well. If I recreate him on the live servers munitions mastery with a Nemesis rifle would be a nice choice I think...

Unknown at this point. It could be the case that there is a placeholder texture if you want to turn off the realtime reflection.

If both alternatives run through the updated engine the old shader would be visible through them and look messy if they didn't get rid of it.

Again, purely conjecture on my part.
  14. It might be worth mentioning that on the test server costume pieces that normally use a faux-environmental shader (specifically parts from the Cyborg and Valkyrie set) no longer have them.

Yes...apart from the 'released into the wild' part.

    It's all too convenient.
He suddenly re-appears in time to deal with a threat that atomic weapons cannot stop. To top it off he is able to put on a fantastic show for the world (which is where he apparently gains his in-depth understanding of the creatures he is fighting.)

I'm leaning towards the idea that the Devouring Earth and our dear emperor are not the true adversaries they appear to be.

  16. I think the very fact that this supposed 'Hamidon' has such a different physical form compared to the one we are familiar with is more than just a cosmetic factor.

Indeed, its similarity to a Devoured and Cole (rather conveniently) managing learn a great deal about the Devouring Earth in that little psionic exchange makes me suspect the Hamidon Pasilima of Praetorian Earth may well be pursuing someone else's agenda....or dead.

Well I didn't vote for them. Anyway, I thought we were an autonomous collective.
  18. Here in the northwest it's been snowing earlier and more heavily than I've witnessed in quite a few years. Rather picturesque, and I finally have an excuse to wear my Ushanka hat. ^_^

Let us not forget the deeply disturbing vision Atlas Park's signature monument creates when you exit City Hall.

  21. Hatred?
    Utter nonsese!

This is simply Paragon Studios showing us what we knew all along; that villains are superior.
They know that, unlike the delicate heroes who need to have their hands held for practically everything, villains have the strength and determination to reach a threat level suitable for Cap au Diable in no time.

Why else would Villians have to fight for their patron powers while heroes have them handed to them on a plate?

None can deny our superiority, not even the developers.

Perhaps for certain characters. It's worth remembering that these aren't just character profiles, they are the team's last messages to the world before their fairly inevitable deaths. They could be considered epitaphs in that respect.

Such sombre circumstances bring out different qualities in different people; some could come across as wacky, comical (to deal with the stress and/or despair perhaps.) Yet some might seem rather miserable while others sanguine and calm.

I can see what you mean about culture references. If done well they can be entertaining and characterful, but I think they did manage to cover a nice spectrum.
  24. These are a joy to read. I count them as prime examples of why I enjoy this game so much.

Also, the Dawn Patrol have Tea and Crumpets?
Where do I sign up?! ^____^
  25. When they revealed the complex shadows created by part of a powerstation (in Brickstown, I think) my first thought was of Grandville and 'The Tangle.' It should look fairly impressive. Indeed, all of that zone will probably look even more sinister, which is why I like it so much.
