Ajax heard from Serge that helmets are SO last season.
It may mean that the old Ajax wore the helmet, so he could get away with not wearing one. No one knew who he was, so the new helmetless Ajax could have been the old one.
I'm really awful at explaining things.

It's probably just more likely that he took it off once he outed himself.

I'm going to have to go with ditched his hero suite as I simple don't buy that his hero suite looked anything like this:

You must have a tall character, because when I took shots like that, I was at his eye level.
In his letter, Ralph Valetti says that he was able to assume Ajax's identity because he always wore a helmet. However, in game, he is NOT wearing a helmet. Are we assuming he just ditched it when the truth came out, or what?
