  2. But the features are *elongated*.

You mean disproportionally made like every single ancient society has ever done until the Greek/Romans?

If elongated features are signs of aliens, then judging by all the fridge art I've ever seen, the aliens are hiding in our children's schools.
  3. Maelstrom's mission makes me long for a Temp Power Recipe which is basically a low grade taunt and minor damage aura.

What about our QA folk? GM Loyd and Tex et al.?
  5. I remember myself and lots of newbies basically trapped at the Steel Canyon Hospital unable to get to the tram without being ganked by zone spawns.

    What I would like:

To be able to start a brand new toon with every option available at character creation. Must have a level 50 and have unlocked them on some other toon? OK with me.

I want to be able to log onto the VIP server to join your CS costume contests and create a character with all options available and with the appropriate name. The only way to do that now is to transfer a toon that has all the unlocks, but then my angel of light character would have the halo and Roman skirt, and celestial wings, but still be named Zombie Man. And I'm not going through with the mess of renaming.

Serene has two dual blade (one fire, one ice) attacks. They do fire/ice/lethal. She has an Autumal Hold and a Blessing buff (don't know what that does). And an Ice Sword attack unique to her. The rest of her powers are all Talons of Vengeance which is a mishmash from lots of different sets, especially fire and ice and weather related (thunder clap and lightning.)

It's not really enough powers for a fully unique Dominator's sets. At least, not yet.
  8. Because every mission should be mashing a few key in order to beat up hundreds of bags of hp leading up to beating a larger bag of hp -- by mashing those same keys.

    I agree!!! No more gimmicks!!!!
  9. The really big Monsters in the Hive are basically AVs with 3 times the HP, which means 3 times the Regen.

Unlike GMs, the Level Shift inspiration will give you an advantage because they are a hard level 50... their combat mechanics do not scale to your level, so, you can outlevel them.
  10. Yes, they have done optimizations, both hardware and software. They've targeted maps with reported lag issues and worked on getting higher concurrency performance.

I've nuked in the valley of lag on the ITF and there was not one moment of server sputtering!

If any specific area makes FPS take a nose dive, screencap it, get the /loc and post about it in the bug forums. They've been pretty good in fixing (eventually) reported lag spots.
  11. (...you don't want your cats to know you're logging in from work.)
  12. Do you have in Options enabled: No XP while exemplared?
  13. Because datamining has shown that anyone who plays for a full month is likely to be retained *for ever* at a retention rate of 98%.

Keep 'em playing. Remove all frustration bumps. At least, for the first month.

Thus, this is the exact opposite of traditional MMO thinking where you put up purposeful difficulty barriers to be worked past so as to have a sense of achievement.

That is why there is the Death From Below trial, and fast low level leveling, and travel powers at level 4.

Do not discourage the newbies.... who pay. Subs are still the number 1 priority, so don't bring up the chat barriers for the freebies.

You can do that already with the Binary incarnate aura for head only.
  15. You can always use CoHRadar. I usually fire it up when there is no final objective marker and can't find the blinkie or whatever it is I'm looking for.

Also, for bugged missions where the final objective is truly missing, it's great to be able to send in the bug report: A demorecord of the map shows the objective is simply not spawned. This way they know I'm not some mope who can't find it.
  16. While my Dark Defender may not be able to solo the Avatar of Hamidon, he can solo a double spawn of Preatorian EBs... so, yeah, I feel more powerful.

    influence

Is it true the most influence you can on a toon at any one time is 2 billion, what happens after that?
It would be bad. Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously, and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light.

Well, then, you didn't read my post carefully.

I posited a situation of a team that couldn't steamroll. I mentioned pre-Incarnate because what Incarnate team can't steamroll a ITF. But you made the team into a suped-up IO team that can steamroll. You changed the situation to avoid the case where KB would be the best tool for a team that couldn't steamroll *in that situation* with the powers they had at hand.

I remember when the ITF first came out *and teams regularly wiped*. I don't care whether that's with IO teams or non-IO teams. They regularly wiped... except when I Torrented the mob first. At that time there were Tankers that couldn't handle all the -Def. Or there were no Tankers at all on the team. The mezzers couldn't hold the spawn.

When a spawn was knocked back with Torrent as the alpha, the Cims' team buffers didn't get off their team buffs. They didn't scatter any more than when they began because they all moved in tandem with each other -- in fact, in the tunnels, Torrent almost always clumped them closer together. And while they were being knocked back, everyone got two free shots at them.

In that situation, KB was the best tool... *at hand*.

Yes. You did change the scenario -- to one with a stronger character.
  21. And some toons who had already reinforced their alignment, especially after having changed it, are reset to no reinforcement at all. This means running the Morality Mission twice: first time for 50 Merits, then again for the Alignment Merit; *then* you'll be able to run the SSA for the Alignment Merit.
